On top of that if they're in contact with friendly forces I'm pretty sure that information would have been passed along to the French helicopter, I kinda doubt they would have just started firing on a vehicle without having some idea who's in it. Why do people insist on putting "hours" after military time? This 1522 "hours" is just "fifteen twenty two." By saying "hours" after the time would get you 50 pushups. And saying "oh five hundred" was another good way. That was one of the very first things we were told in boot camp "There are no letters in military numeric's."
Makes no sense. Ur telling me those soldiers retreated without there "sarg". Were then rescued and brought back to base. Still without there Sargeant. To where he's found in a bush hrs later, uniform gone and alone dead. That would never happen. No soldier would leave another of any rank especially a sarge like that. Sergeant Johnson's hands were severed with gun shots while he was lying down, wounded but still alive. Apart from Sgt Johnson, two more US marines died during the ambush in Tongo Tongo. Their vehicles were not armoured.

You always establish friendly forces
So what WAS THIS FOR??
May his soul rest in peace
My If they sae the fighters pulling back after the show of force, why weren't the engaged?
Video explained nothing.
RIP Sgt Johnson
Im still wondering why they out there completely exposed in open terrain with only light cover.
Im thinking somebody is leaving out key details.
Im certain they chose that area because they were told to expect extraction by chopper and support aircraft..and that didnt happen..until long after the fight had started
I'm really confused here to my knowledge most if not all SOF troops carry IR strobes so they would have been able to tell who they were and waving that flag doesn't make much sense in that regard. On top of that if they're in contact with friendly forces I'm pretty sure that information would have been passed along to the French helicopter, I kinda doubt they would have just started firing on a vehicle without having some idea who's in it. Another video said they destroyed their comms to prevent them falling into enemy hands which didn't sound right either. And I don't buy the we stopped to record final messages for our families thing death letters are written before hand and these men aren't trained to shut down they keep going. There's just alot of things with this story that don't fit with how these guys operate and alot of questions that don't get answers.
Why didn't they use Oshkosh M-ATVs?
Seperate they fall....they underestimate that ambush..!!!!
Why r we there?
JWT350Z to colonize poor african People..you cannot enslave black people back in the state anymore so they start enslaving black on their own soil and just like in the states..here the local rise up to meet the challenge. You cannot do a guerilla fighting if the local is not on your side..wake up US people. Stop supporting this kind of policy..world will be ok without US policing it.
Horny Aleks, there is no "we" about it, unless u & i (we) own oil producing companies, pipelines and refineries. We are consumers or also known as end users. There is you, and there is the elite. The elite control the military like the mafias have enforcers. How do you benefit from the slaughter of other people, in other countries for their natural resources?
TigerPunch7 The real terrorists to America are within, on all levels. I.E. street thugs, idiots, rogue law enforcement, and corrupt government on all levels. Those are the real terrorists. When have u seen a real middle easterner tear shit up here?
Horny Aleks , not we. I can care less. It's the richest people who care about exploiting other countries for, their resources and while, causing genocide.
Nigerian government been asking help from the u.s since 80s and U.S entered nigeria I believe sometime around the 90s
RIP Brother, protect us from above.
Heroes obviously. Why is support so far away? Drones nearby, but not missile launch capable?
What are US Troops doing in Niger?????
Ambushed ? Looks like they were caught off guard , too cocky is what got them bet..... And where Where the apache helos? Or scouts or drones ...... Big mistake on behalf of the us .....
Hopefully identifying friendlies will be much easier with Starlink.
When a foreign government can't handle there business, they call the US for aid. To maintain positive foreign relations. We provide aid that, aslong as it's in our best interest.
Simple as that.
Will be unclassified what really happened in 7years...
I just looked up this video because of the news i saw today. First of all One love to the soldiers. RIP SSG Johnson, Dustin, Jeremiah and the rest of the soldiers who died that day. Thanks for sharing the video. Harrowing and amazing what they face on the ground. That Covert shit is confusing because when things go right people cheer but when things go wrong, your kids are . basically on thier own.
Should of called for assistance the minute they were ambushed.
Who else misread the title?
What was this operation's name?
Make America great again or die on bonespurs...
Wait wait wait, so they’re saying the enemy didn’t kill him but his boots and equipment were taken and he’s dead????? If he does of wounds and then someone took his equipment that’s one thing but that would be dying from enemy fire. He didn’t die of starvation on a my hat short of time. More info please, cause as states is bull shit unless I’ve misheard it.
I’m just here because I read the title wrong!!😂😂😂😂
0:44 is my impression or is that a robot?
Definitely a Hollywood movie material.
Tears of the Sun II: More Tears to Come
Doubt it because america lost the engagement
Lone Survivor?
St Baker I'm here to write this comment and the first thing I read is my mind 🤣🤣🤣
They for got one
Um... Is the video title fkd up or is it just me?
what were these soldiers doing there?
Helping the Nigerian government.
were they asked to? there or they voluntarily went there on their own?
@@kidvegas4928 we all volunteered.
@@rogerwilco5918 what if Rusia or China volunteer to go Mexico ? would that be okay or no?
@@kidvegas4928 Why on earth would Mexico want China or Russia there??
How can this still be happening? With all the hi tech equipment, we can't communicate with each other, so shit like this doesn't keep happening ?
WHY WOULD THEY SEND AN UNARMED DRONE, ASSUMING THE SOLIDERS WERE ENGAGING..SMH!!!!!!
WE DONT TAXES FOR OUR MILITARY TOO BE SET UP AND SENT OUT ON SUICIDE MISSIONS..WE TAXES FOR THEM TOO KEEP US SAFE AND RETURN HOME!!!!!!!!
Something isn't right at all about this account. Not cool
Serg ordered his other two vehicles to go north and he and two of his Nigerian army people couldn't make it to their vehicle, they decided to run . Mililtants executed two of the local army men first. Serg ran further clumbed a tree and fought till last moment where he was outnumberef by atleast 1:20
American flag? The fuck where are their infrared markers? Smoke? What the fuck? This is an unprepared and unorganized op.
We saw the video we know he was not bound
IFF or PFIFF?
How does this even happen? We also take command of the battle space in UW, to control conflicting objectives between us and our partner forces. Which consequently means, we know where they are at all times

Military operations are difficult. Especially at night with international coordination. Hence this cluster fuck.
Killed by their own proxies and left behind by their brothers arms. What a way to die

???
Watch this then

They run from a sudden ambush
Then stop to be ambushed against.
They silly
" ... was not captured alive" WTF he was shot on a video. What a surprise. Making heroes again.
Ladavid Johnson had no business being there. He was untrained, unskilled and completely ignorant to the task at hand. He was, however known for riding "wheelies" around the base in the US.
very sad and tragic..it happens
I did not know we had troops in Nigeria. Are we at war in Nigeria?
there are groups of isis militants in nigeria and niger
@@ppcaca1271 ok thanks
How sickening to watch and hear stupid things like these.
TF US doing over there? 🤔
The Tactician Fighting Boko Haram or Daesh afiliates...
We also are building a 2nd drone base there
Resources
Fighting the good fight bro
Training local forces. That is why it’s special forces
Sergeant Johnson's hands were severed with gun shots while he was lying down, wounded but still alive. Apart from Sgt Johnson, two more US marines died during the ambush in Tongo Tongo. Their vehicles were not armoured.
So you're telling me with all the training , expensive equipment and unlimited resources, they can not repel a 3rd world, poorly trained military detachment????
Their training would be to withdraw from 100+ militants, being severely outnumbered. They didn't have all the equipment they needed if you read into before the attack. No one has unlimited resources...
Brave men
Them some fast moving soldiers
