Thank you! There actually isn't a part 2 because I haven't done the next section of the Long Trail. I'm not sure when that will happen, but it's a goal.
Was wondering after the hike October intro about your Long Trail hike. Really nice video, I especially enjoyed the still snapshots at the end of the day as a summary of all you saw and did. Hoping you were able to do the whole trail, guess I will have to wait and see!
Unfortunately, I had to cut the hike short, so it’s going to be a section hike now, and I'll be putting out each section as an additional part of the video series. Thanks for watching, and for the kind words!
About fifty miles in my dogs pack started causing an issue with my dog under her legs. That ended her carrying her pack and she was much happier. Do you know what brand of pack your beautiful dog was carrying and how did the pack work out. It truly is a great hike. I will admit Ladder Ravine solo with my dog was a bit much. Take care and thanks for sharing.
I can't remember that pack name right now (I'll check when I get home and let you know), but the area around Mt. Mansfield was something I was concerned about with the pup. When we go back out, it's my hope to get to that section with at least one of my hiking buddies to help with the dog(s).
@@JayMorrisonOutdoors If you make it to Mansfield you can take the bad weather bypass, I think they call it Forehead Bypass, that is if you don’t have any assistance with your dog. I did the trail solo so I took the bypass per the local caretakers suggestions. Ladder Ravine is also a challenge especially if you don’t have any assistance. You will have to carry your dog down about a ten foot ladder. That is what I did. There is also one hard spot called Devils Gulch. I met someone on the trail and they helped me with my dog. It’s not terrible but definitely. The rest of the trail is fine with your dog. Take care
Hey! I ran into your video by accident by researching the long trail to do next. I met you guys at a shelter. You and your buddy picked on me about Leuko tape then there was the water resevoir issue. Trail name is Moss! 😎
Really enjoyed the video! I can’t seem to find part 2?

I remember seeing you guys on the first day of the LT. I was a 15 year old kid with my dad. Great video!
I kept waiting for Big Iron to whip out his afghan pressure cooker and a side of beef! Awesome hike guys!
LOL
Beautiful
Man what a great video. Thanks for sharing your adventure with us.
Thank you very much!
It’s great to see you and your pup back on trail, Jay!
We love watching you guys and thoroughly enjoy the dynamic of your hiking group!
Awesome hike for October Mental health 👍

There have been some infamous disappearances in the past in this area, so be careful😇
Thank you for the concern.
Great start! Can't wait to see your next videos.
Enjoyed this video, is there more? Couldn’t find the rest of your hike

Oh and Docs trail name was Arete. He fixed my butt remember? Haha
Off to a great start! And it seems like trail magicians are ALSO dog people. (Not surprised!) 😊
I love the beginning with snippets of what's to come. What filter is that John is using?
