Yea I essentially agree, he would have been 43-mid or so. I think if that 300m race in 2010 was a 400m, he would have run it then. After injury in 2010 though, I think that window closed considering how he dealt with injuries on an off for the remainder of his career. The main reasons that this is such an elite club is that sprinters generally don't focus on more than two of the three distances, which means the 3rd distance is run very infrequently. When you think how elite you have to be to run sub 10, 20 or 44 individually, to do that in an event that you don't usually compete in and don't specifically train for, etc. you are likely to need perfect conditions, which is made that much less likely, if you run it infrequently. Fred Kerley is an exception here, because he went from the 400m being his main event, down to the shorter sprints, which means he was exclusively training for the 400m when he was running sub 44's and competing regularly in the event. Fred is not unique in this, as Usain did the same, but obviously switched before he had reached anywhere near his 400m potential. We have also seen Shericka do the same on the women's side. Then there's Letsile Tebogo, who seems the most likely 4th member of the club, who just seems to be able to run ridiculously fast at any sprint distance whether he trains for it or not and probably wouldn't even need conditions to be that good to run a sub 44. At the other end of the spectrum is Rai Benjamin who doesn't train for or run any of the sprints regularly, so for him to be as close as he is when none of the sprints are his main discipline is incredible.
Tebogo prolly will run 9.7 or 9.6 19.10 42.9x 200m and 400m is alr on lock But the 100m he has a magnificent start and top end all he needs is to fix his transition..his 30m to 60m transition phase needs work ...acceleration can help thats where Noah Lyles strength is the 30 to 60m acceleration because he improved the over the 60m...Thant why he was able to reel in coleman in the 60m...
I think Tebogo in 2025 can very realistically run 9.7, 19.2, and 43.8. The only thing is which will he chose to focus on as we go towards World Champs. Will he do the 100/200 double again, or will he take a stab at the 400m? Not sure but he has such a high ceiling in all the events.
As somewhat of a (unbiased) Tebogo fan, I don’t think he’s ever running 9.6x over 100m. He’s not got the raw speed for it unfortunately as I would love for him (or anyone) to run 9.6 - keep an eye out for Kishane! 19.10 for 200m is pushing it since he’d have to go out in UNDER 10.00 (his best 0-100m so far is 10.12 from Paris) and then close in UNDER 9.15 - I think he is capable of that but not after a 10 flat first 100m. At some point he might go 19.2 or even 19.1, given the right circumstances and I’m predicting him to go 19.3x in 2025! For the 400m, he’s definitely capable of a sub-43.5 at SOME point and that 43.0 4x4 split whilst training for the 100 and 200m, on tired legs, shows that for sure. Tebogo doesn’t want too much muscle as it might hinder his 200m abilities (cough, cough, Noah Lyles) although maybe a bit of muscle might help him over 100m? His 6.41 0-60m from Rome really was impressive!
5:59 Yohan Blake is still an active athlete so he can also be in bold! Same with Makwala (I think, so correct me if I’m wrong for him) but again, he’s not running lots. In terms of who I think’ll be the next athlete to be in the subx10/20/44 club, it’d got to be Tebogo. He’s got a sub-44 in him for sure and I’m even willing to bet he’ll get it either in 2025 or 2026 (he has the opportunity to run the 200/400m double at the World Ultimate Championships in 2026!), and he could become the first athlete to go sub-9.8/19.5/43.5 in the future imho! Kenny B and Rai B could also join the sub-10/20/44 club in 2026 if they wanted since they’re probably capable of sub-44, if they trained for it (specifically Kenny since Rai already runs that distance).

I think 2-3 seasons of FULL 200/400m training can get him close there. But the problem is he hasnt been a 400m runner in any capacity. For example, Jereem only started running the 400m globally and focusing on it at championships in like 2022, before then his PB was only 45.2. But within 2 years he got all the way down to 43.7. But Jereem has always been a 200/400 runner, going back to his youth days running the 4x4 for trinidad at the 2012 world indoor championships. Noah has not touched an open 400 since high school. but he has the talent for sure
yea essentially. His 100m of 9.76 really helps his case, and then his 19.76 is not too far behind Norman, along with his 43.64. But Letsile Tebogo might have the most upside of anyone who is currently active right now.
I will certinaly get hated on for this comment. But I think Matthew Boling is the next guy to do it. He's focusing on the 400 now, and that's the only one he needs to check off the list. 60m? Hmmm🤔 I agree with 400m though Remember, were talking indoors in March, not outoors in August. So even if he had fast splits in his 100m races, Its different in many aspects, IMO.
I think if you really want to find the greatest all around sprinter then you need to factor in the 60m as well, and only Fred Kerley, of this group has run sub 6.60, having run 6.55. Bolt may have been able to run a faster 400m, but I doubt he would have run a sub 6.60 in the 60m. If quickness is a factor in sprinting then the 60m must be factored into the over-all score.
I think Bolt was almost certainly sub 6.50, and likely sub 6.40. Hes run some fast 60m splits outdoors that indicate he would have been able to go fast indoors as well. I dont think he would have broken 6.34 like Coleman, but I think at minimum if Noah can get to 6.43, Bolt can get to AT LEAST 6.40
I don't value this ranking you displayed, Usain shouldn't be in number 1 unless it's just random. Letsile is going to be on top of that exclusive list.
Maybe, his 2022 season was crazy with all the 9.7s he ran. I think if he was healthy throughout 2023, he could have very likely hit the 9.7 low range for sure
A bunch have done it: Marita Koch Shericka Jackson Shaunae Miller-Uibo Allyson Felix Gwen Torrence Marie Jose Perec Valerie Brisco Hooks Irena Privalova Barbel Wockel Gabby Thomas is close as she has run 11.00. She'll probably go sub-11 this year

I think the next will be Erriyon Knighton and/or Kenny Bednarek. Noah Lyles could also do it if he ever decided to train for the 400...Noah could literally jog a 21.0 200m.
Tebogo next
Tobogo is DEFINITELY up next. Rai is also capable, but i dnt believe he will attempt it
Tebogo definetly
I think Aaron brown from Canada probably could do i think he could run a sub 44. He ran a smooth 45 raw without practice
Joe fahnbulleh could do it as well he has the build for it
Will say it loud. If Noah takes a season or two focused on the quarter? He’ll go sub44 💯💯
No💯💯
I think 2-3 seasons of FULL 200/400m training can get him close there.
@seensay2132 Yeah right, that'll happen once chickens grow teeth, Skippy ! 😂
Hasn't Letsile run 9.86?
He has, but he isnt a sub 44 yet
Yea I made the update in the video, mistake on my part
is fred kerly the best out of thst club?
yea essentially. His 100m of 9.76 really helps his case, and then his 19.76 is not too far behind Norman, along with his 43.64. But Letsile Tebogo might have the most upside of anyone who is currently active right now.
Letsile Tebogo going to join that club easily
I will certinaly get hated on for this comment. But I think Matthew Boling is the next guy to do it. He's focusing on the 400 now, and that's the only one he needs to check off the list. He's clearly got the speed to go sub-44. It's a matter of putting in the work for that speed endurance. He might legitimately be next. There I said it.
What a joke😂😂😂
@@tshabalalanhlanhlashadrack1230 AND . . . there it is . . . right on cue
Wayde the GOAT from my home country🇿🇦🐐
If you wanna know how to do long sprints, come to Southern Africa. Even Letsile and Frankie Fredericks will tell y'all LMAOOOO😙🌝🇿🇦🇧🇼
7:02 What crime did you commit, Anderson?!?!
🙌🏾♥️🙌🏾
💯💯
bolt could have had every world record from the 60 to the 400.
60m? Hmmm🤔 I agree with 400m though
Remember, were talking indoors in March, not outoors in August. So even if he had fast splits in his 100m races, Its different in many aspects, IMO.
Matt Hudson-Smith could definitely go close to 20 dead in the 200m. Sub 10, probably not, maybe 10.3. It would put him up there though Maybe top 20.
So Bolt can split a 6.31 60m but you don’t think he could have gone sub 6.60 in the open 60?
Nah, 100/200/400 is all we need. If we want to say 60m dudes are “quicker”, no problem - that’s a difference conversation.
@@DODO-cb6gq Well, you have point, he has run some amazing 60m splits.
No doubt Jareem Richards can go sub 10 in the 100m. No doubt!!
Boiling
I think his confidence has since taken a major hit. Might retire in the next year or two
@ he ran prs in the 400 last year what are you smoking? Multiple 44’s…. He was in the us final….
I don't value this ranking you displayed, Usain shouldn't be in number 1 unless it's just random. Letsile is going to be on top of that exclusive list.
I believe Fred could have run 9.6 in the past i just see 9.7 again cause age is catching up and controversy is surrounding him..
Maybe, his 2022 season was crazy with all the 9.7s he ran. I think if he was healthy throughout 2023, he could have very likely hit the 9.7 low range for sure
Has any woman ever gone sub-50, sub-22, and sub-11?
A bunch have done it:
Marita Koch
Shericka Jackson
Shaunae Miller-Uibo
Allyson Felix
Gwen Torrence
Marie Jose Perec
Valerie Brisco Hooks
Irena Privalova
Barbel Wockel
Gabby Thomas is close as she has run 11.00. She'll probably go sub-11 this year
@@TheFinalLeg Wow. Most of them are sub 49 too off the top of my head
@@TheFinalLegWhat about sub-11/sub-22/sub-49? I mean from your list obviously Koch and Miller-Uibo have done it (I know their 400m PB’s off the top of my head lol) but who else (presumably from that list)?!
@AthleticsEditzand and Perec
@@erinwilson5415 So just those 3 then?
