- Using handsignals, an Aviation Boatswain's Mate Equipment (ABE, green jersey) works together with an Aviation Boatswain's Mate Handler (ABH, yellow jersey) to direct an F-18 Hornet to ensure proper alignment prior to hook up and launch off Catapult #4 on an aircraft carrier!
The ABE will ensure the aircraft's nose gear is properly aligned with the catapult, while also installing the holdback bar. They will then work with the ABH to taxi the jet forward and onto the catapult shuttle prior to launch!
Make sure your sound is on to enjoy the full experience!

As an ex-Navy Pilot, the number one area of questions I get (after what did you fly?) is about the different color shirt/jersey/vests and what they do? why are some standing and some on one knee? What is the board (now display) that person is holding up? You really should do an "in depth" series on everything from AO to Shooter and the sequence of a Launch. It's a different word today, but the "rainbow kids" really did make the cat and trap work smoothly.
Second this!
I was a Blue Shirt in 1969 , on USS WASP CVS 18 .It's a tough job .
It is good that you are still working in aircraft carrier of steam power catapult. That makes gorgeous mood.
This is brutal work. Even worse when dealing with a landing helicopter on a rocking ship.
Would love to see a video of the hand signals being used and what they mean. Really great vids!
Pretty cool when the shooter & the pilot salute each other when launching. .
I really like this stuff please keep it up may God bless these people they do a wonderful job keep us safe
We need more, if you can.
Working on it!

How has life on an Aircraft Carrier changed with the virus now being a thing?
Another great video!
Thank you for these videos and all the hard work you and all of your shipmates are doing, sacrificing time away from family, friends and the comforts of the homeland. I'm humbled by this display of Americans working together to be ready at a moments notice to defend America or provide assistance to people all over the world when called upon to do so. You make me proud to be American.
Love it
Thank y’all for your service and protecting our country 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank all of you for your incredible service to this country.
Hey I wanted to ask, you must have to get these videos approved before you post them right? They’re amazing to watch, but they must make you wait some period of time before uploading it. Keep up the awesome videos and great work.
Imagine if this guy got 100k subs how will he get his 100k subscriber plaque
I'd call in an airdrop.
I wish there were captions that detailed what is going on, what people are doing and what all the hand signals mean.
easiest jobs are always in the navy.

What is your rank?
Love your videos!!!!!!!!!!😄
Ахрененно же работать на авианосце
Random question what are the people that are near the tail of the aircraft on both sides that I have seen shooter point to? Have you done that job before?
Also sub question where is the escort? Or are they just farther out than view of the carrier?
Why’s the guy in yellow going that circular hand motion? (Genuine Question)
It means move forward, and the faster he's moving his hands relates to how fast he wants you moving.
It means move up so they an lock the catapult in
Greetings to the Americans
Still can't figure out that hold back tool ... 🤔🤔🤔🤔
What exactly are you trying to figure out?
@@yxeaviationphotog Thxs. How does it work? The purpose of it? Does it break in half? Is it adjustable? How can it hold back 1000s of pounds of thrust? Is it used in conjuction with the launch sled?
