Looks to me like it is easier to take the pump out with the high pressure line attached Remove it and attach it to a new pump outside the engine compartment, if i am not mistaken ?
My mechanic replaced my power steering pump on my 99 Corolla before that i replaced high power steering hose and now the power steering high pressure side fitting is right next to the a/c lines is this the reason of not using oem pressure line
No bushings in the 2000 Corolla bracket. These things are manufactured at such a tight tolerance that they have to be perfectly aligned. Maybe try rubbing a little grease on the mating surfaces?

Mr Man thank you,I’ll give that a try. I was saying a lot of bad words and my wife told me to take a brake.
I am having the same problem right now. I am about to grind down the passenger side mounting bolt hole to make a fit. Any other suggestions?
I also have filled up my swear jar.
@@jackstraw837 hope you got it back on jack. I just keep trying and finally was lucky it aligned up.
it will be alot easier if you remove the exhaust shield for more room
