Rapunzel was the first 3D Disney princess after the end of 2D animation starring Tiana from The Princess & the Frog so yeah this actually worked. =D
Even now, Tangled has managed to stand the test of time both in its story and visuals, and that is even more difficult as a CGI film!
Not to mention that it is still a hand-drawn feel looking animated film
@@scoutart1508 I think that one of the keys to _Tangled_ 's longevity is how Glen Keane managed, practically by brute force and at any cost, to successfully transfer the Disney animation style--in design, movement, and expression--to CGI. Once he did that, he pretty much alienated himself and other Disney animators who were devoted to the hand-drawn animation format/medium, but at least it allowed Disney Animation to continue to build on their legacy despite changing technologies. Part of this process involves actual hand-drawn animation (behind the scenes), and fortunately a few Disney masters like Mark Henn have stayed on to give their expertise and guidance.

I’ll never forget that Zachery Levi took this job to not only be in a Disney Movie as one of the best Princes ever, but also to be in Kingdom Hearts III.

Tangled is a fun, and amazing adventure. The art style, music, and visuals were amazing.
Seeing it within KH3, it was meant to be.

@@kadosho02 The 1st act of the Tangled world was fine, but the 2nd and 3rd acts of it not really. Sora, Donald and Goofy stood out like a "sore thumb", removing mentioning of the golden flower, Sora and the gang never questioning Rapunzel's long hair along with witnessing Rapunzel’s magic powers through her hair, plus parts of the world felt linear, forced and over the top.
Not to mention the scene with Sora, Donald, Goofy and their first and ONLY interaction with Mother Gothel still raised Red Flags, and If I were in their shoes or be right beside them and if Gothel gave me the cold shoulder calling me _"useless of no help"_ I too would raise an eyebrow and think to myself you know something feels of with this woman.
Even Flynn/Eugene was portrayed much differently in KH3 than how he was in the film given that the Stabbington Brothers were written out and replaced by Marluxia.
I was very happy that Zachary Levi reprised his role in Kingdom Hearts III! I’m bummed out though that Mandy Moore didn’t come back as Rapunzel.
Tangled is one of the best movies that Disney has ever created, including the series (which I have watched repeatedly many times). This shall always be one of my favorite movies of all time. And thank you Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi for making this movie so magical!!!! Happy 10th Anniversary to everyone who worked hard on this film to make it one of the best movies out there!!! :D
Yep, as a kid I've always loved this movie. It's been a while since I've seen it so ima rematch it. Ever since frozen came out I've wanted a Tangled x Frozen crossover. Because 1 Rupunzel, Elsa, and Anna all look the same lol. 2 Rupunzel and Elsa both have powers. 3 I would also love to see interact with Olaf and Bruni. Maximus with Sven. Tangled is far from underrated. You can probably ask anyone and they'll know about it. The social network sites back then are just closed now that you wouldn't see any digital footprint of it's appreciation during it's peak.

I See The Light and the lantern scene is still the most beautiful scene on Disney animated film ever. I still remember it when I saw it in 3D. Unforgettable.
Same and the way they hid in advertising that it wasn’t a musical only to be given one of the most beautiful scenes in modern cinema combined with the perfect usage of 3D visuals was something I’ll never forget

I didn’t know until last year that Zachary Levi voiced Eugene and now every time he speaks that’s who I picture.

They've already made a Sequel in the form of a TV Series called Tangled The Series and it was just as much as a masterpiece as The Movie and on top of that it's actually canon to the movie! Go Check it out on Disney+ right now!

Tangled is no doubt one of my favorite Disney animated films and I just enjoy everything about this film from the story, to its characters and music. Happy 10th Anniversary to Disney's 50th animated film and to everyone (the directors, the artists and animators) who made this film possible.

I was just watching Tangled last night on Disney+. I love this movie so much especially Mandy Moore she’s such a wonderful/beautiful spirit. 🙌🏽💕
Mandy Moore gives Rapunzel so much personality, I just love the energy she brings to the character. They could not have made a better casting choice for Rapunzel than her. And she has that really pretty "princess" singing voice that is perfect for a Disney animated film.

This movie means so much to me. I was 15 when it came out and it warmed my heart. Rapunzel inspired me to become a painter, and now I have a popular small business I can’t keep up with! Tangled also inspired me to wait for my true love! The one that would look at me the same way Eugene looks at Rapunzel! Many, many years later I was able to walk down the aisle to “I see the light” with my ‘prince’ waiting for me! That was just last year. I’m in shock this movie is 10 years old. It brings tears to my eyes thinking about it.

Kudos to Zachary Levi for not only voicing Flynn in the film but also reprising the role again for the TV Series and _Kingdom Hearts III_ (although Flynn/Eugene was portrayed much differently in KH3).

It's also likely that Square Enix wanted to wait for Zachary Levi to finish filming the Shazam! movie, before bringing back the rest of the cast from Tangled, when compared to how they literally brought most of the original actors from Frozen (including Idina Menzel) to reprise their roles in KH3 before their schedules were tied up.
So, they waited at the very last minute for Zachary Levi to finish filming Shazam! in June 2018 but by the time Zachary finished filming, Mandy Moore started doing the third season of _This is Us_ which is why they recasted her with Kelsey Lansdowne in KH3.
@@EChacon Mandy came back to reprise her role as Rapunzel in the TV series sequel though, which in my opinion is prominent than KHIII.
Tangled never gets old and it always brings out the child in me. Here's to 10 more years!

I was almost 14 when it came out and it was a year before I started being on RUclips! I remember seeing the trailer and TV spots, and wasn’t really a Disney fan back then, but started to enjoy this after my parents bought the Blu-Ray. It was funny, enjoyable and adventurous. Oh, did I forget musical? Because it was a very musical adventure.

Tangled’s anniversary is a day after my birthday, and tangled has always been such a huge part of my life and who I’ve become. I can’t wait for the 11th anniversary and I’m even more excited for the 15th and 20th and so on and so forth. This movie, and the show, have made such an impact on so many people and I’m thankful for it.

I only just watched this movie for the first time a couple weeks ago and I just want to hug everyone who worked on this masterpiece. I don't like Disney's corporate takeover much but at least they include such talented and passionate people who write great stories, animate so beautifully and lend their wonderful voices to bring this world and the people in it to life. An incredible piece of art indeed! Not to forget, I don't normally care for Disney couples but this one hit it for me. Eugene and Rapunzel ended up in the most believable romance with two different and yet most intriguing personalities I've ever seen in a Disney movie. I bow down to the creators of Tangled from this day until the end of my days. Very well done, everyone!!

I was 15 when it came out and I really wasn’t interested at first. It’s since become one of my top five Disney movies.
I also was 15 and Rapunzel immediately became my favourite Disney Princess! 💚
And the adventure didn’t end there.
Same, I actually wasn’t into Disney when this movie came out. But I remember I almost watched it in theaters on a date. It was between Megamind and Tangled and we ended up watching Megamind. Still a great pick, but I always wondered if I would’ve been into Disney sooner if I had seen Tangled that night. It took 4 years after that before I became a fan.

Tangled was really the start of Disney animation's modern renaissance. After that came Wreck-It-Ralph, then Frozen, Big Hero 6, Zootopia, Moana -- a whole string of winners.

Honestly I think The Princess and the frog was the start of it because I feel like without it Disney wouldn’t have not gotten back into making princess films such as Tangled, frozen, and moana
why are you erasing the Princess and the Frog which was the literal START of what's known as the "revival" era of Disney. That movie gets nothing but disrespect for being just as good if not better than Tangled, and I'm always looking sideways at Tangled fans who act like Tangled was the blueprint. It wasn't, it was good sis Tiana and her vodoo demon bayou adventure. next
@@jinkieez I enjoyed The Princess and the Frog (Dr. Facilier is my favorite Disney villain), but kids found the animation style too old-fashioned, which led to a mediocre performance at the box office. Disney abandoned the hand-drawn style as a result.

The series resolved everything all possibilities that the movie left sort of hanging. So I highly doubt they can think of any other ideas to base a 2nd movie off from. The Series did WAY more than a Movie could ever do you have more time to spend with the Characters, more time for Character Development, World-Building, etc...Just be blessed the crew put in a HUGE amount of effort in making the sequel TV Series as Great as it is.
Part 2: Cassandra
Let's be honest, we really just wanna know what happened to her after she left Corona. But I'd also love to see a comic spinoff focusing on Varian's adventures, as well as a short film detailing how Angry and Catalina became the Strongbow Sisters.
@@AtarahDerek That wouldn't necessarily be enough to base a whole movie off from. I could see a spin-off show, yeah. While The Varian series spin-off idea pitch got rejected by the Disney TV Executives unfortunately. While The short film idea with Red & Angry [Real names Kiera & Catalina] I could see that happening. [Kinda like the Olaf short film on Disney+]

I first saw this film at age 8 going on 9 in 2011 when it came to cinemas after Christmas. I LOVED this movie. So much. Thank you very much, Disney, for providing a timeless, beautiful legendary film for me, and all of us, and all who emerge for many generations to come. Don't get me wrong, Encanto is amazing, but Tangled will always hold a special place in my heart.

This is probably my childhood film I remember watching it as soon as I woke up. Probably 3 times a week in the holidays.

I know every song, every line, can watch the movie in my head, everything. I remember watching it in theaters for the first time, and hunting for it on cable and Netflix and On Demand, and now we finally have Disney+, so I can watch it any time I want.

I'll always remember that moment when Mans Zelmerlow was chosen to voice Flynn Rider in the Swedish dub and afterwards becoming the Eurovision winner for representing Sweden. This has to be one of the best moment ever! 10 years of Tangled and 10 years of adventure with Rapunzel, I can't believe it. :O
