    I use this generator for my car show events where electricity is not available. Great little and reliable generator. It powers our two huge PA speakers and wireless mic 🎤 system. It only has one outlet but bought the cord with 3 plugs 🔌 coming outta one. Zero issues in 4 years!!

    I buy the already mixed fuel in a can for all my 2 cycle power equipment. The gasoline that comes out of the pump in most places is full of ethanol, and will burn up a 2 cycle engine no matter how much oil you mix in it. Ready mixed can fuel isn't cheap, but it will help save your engines from ruin.

      @@dawkinsrealityshow4692 I buy TruFuel in the red can, 50:1 ratio. You can get it at Lowe's and some other stores. I've been using it for years and it keeps all my small engines running in good shape.

    WARNING. The owners manual for this unit states that you must use a LINE CONDITIONER if you plan to use this generator to power sensitive electronics such as computers and TV'S. The line conditioner will regulate the flow of electricity and also provide surge protection. They are a common piece of equipment. Not super expensive. Good thing to own for home and office use even if you don't have a generator. It will protect your expensive electronics.

    I got one and it almost broke my are when starting it. Read the instructions closely, no closelyer, pull the rope until it is tight - let it take up the cord, then pull. I finally got it started and it ran for three hours, nd now works fine.

    the small one is astounding for GPH, 82 minutes on 1 leter at 6.6 amps (affordable)
    the medium unit we use for making dinners etc
    The large one we use to operate the deep water well and warm the hot water tank on low loads this thing really sucks fuel.

    Be aware that you should NOT power any electronics with this. The power it produces will damage electronics of any kind. It won't necessarily ruin them immediately but it will damage the electronics and cause failure sooner or later.
    I saw a video here that showed the output of this generator on an oscilloscope and it doesn't provide "clean power" (most cheap ones are like this) and a more expensive one does have the "clean power" required by electronics. (Costs are higher because it's more expensive to make them)
    Just remember many things other than simple tools contain electronics in timers, speed adjusters, controls etc. A simple item with just a switch and a motor will probably work fine but an electronic variable speed control on something like a router, refrigerator, TV or radio (possibly even compact florescent lights) would be ruined by this generator.
    The problem is the sine wave created showed the fluctuations are higher than a more expensive generator. Look up on a search engine about cheap generators and electronics.

    • @JesusRoseAgain
      @JesusRoseAgain 3 года назад +2

      The generator runs electronics just fine. Most switching power supplies convert the 120VAC to DC before being regulated. Does not need a smooth sine wave. To reduce RPM fluctuations, run at 3/4 choke to have more stable voltage.

    • @DIYOnTheHouse
      @DIYOnTheHouse  3 года назад +2

      You would need to check the wattage of each. I don't believe this one would do an ac unit -- but you may be close on the weedeater? We did a blower and it worked.

    • @michaelbrinks8089
      @michaelbrinks8089 3 года назад

      I really wish it was just a little bigger for like $25 more. Like 1000watts with 1200 surge starting watts, that way it could run a 5,000 btu window air conditioner without struggling when the AC compressor motor kicks on. A $200-$250 Sportsman 800w running/1000w surge is barely enough to run a window AC for double the money but it only lasts as long as a well maintained 2 stoke Tailgater.The generator head in each one will only last a set amount of time due to moving parts that wear. The Tailgater says mix 50 to1 but I'd run it 40 to 1.

    What about in a 2 or 3 or even week long power outrage.what about a lamp with a 40 or 60 watt bulb and a small box fan? Perhaps a TV, maybe charging my cellphone. Is it going to damage it? These are the only times I would need it. I don't think I would be worrying about blowing leaves off the driveway or vacuuming the floor.

      Your write and wrong it will convert it but it's not a steady wave in this style of generator. I'm an industrial electrician and I'm not talking out my ass. I'm not saying it wont work but you're taking a risk with using electronics with this generator. If your going to only charge it when the device is off and don't use it while its charging.
