I met Whisperin’ Bill Anderson at a Grand Ole Opry tour in Tampa back in the late 90s. Along with Little Jimmy Dickens and others. Great guys! Funny, I had just gone through some old photos from that event!

Mini backwash theater
It's not a theater. It's a showroom intentionally patterned after the intimate performance venues of Las Vegas where the audience and artist are within close proximity rather than the artist on a stage 100 yards or so away from the fans. There's theater seating up in the balcony. The main floor has tables and booths because an optional dinner is served prior to Ray's concerts. The advertisement at the beginning of the episode explains all that.
