    Welllllll just saw it now and I think he altered it to make it easy for a global audience to understand. I can barely understand you now and you're presenting. Brad was whispering, crying, for 2hrs and I had to focus. Sometimes actors purposefully do it 'wrong'. But good for you teach.you're pretty , you'll survive.

    • @AlsActionEnglish
      @AlsActionEnglish  4 года назад +3

      @josephsvennson5694 4 года назад +3

      Al's Action English You're welcome.
      But yes, I think it was intentional because it was consistent. I never once thought "oh that's Brad Pitt" after a few minutes. He kept his vowel sounds the same. Liam Neeson doing an American accent you can hear the inconsistencies. Colin Pharell is very good with his American one though. What do you think about them?

    • @AlsActionEnglish
      @AlsActionEnglish  4 года назад

      @@josephsvennson5694 I'd really never considered this about Pitt and others "throwing" accents if you like.
      Agreed, Neeson's US attempts leave something to be desired and Farrell's are accurate. Do you have any particular movies in mind?

    That "blyse" is throwing me off now. It makes him sound like an Irish-American trying to copy his mum's accent. Saying that, fair play to him for trying. Although I'm sure he could have enriched his Northern Irish role immeasurably by having a month or two working holiday in Belfast.
    And I reckon that if calling you a 'big girl's blouse' offends you, for whatever reason that may be, then it's probably done its job as an insult.

    • @AlsActionEnglish
      @AlsActionEnglish  5 лет назад +4

      For critics, it's not about whether the recipient is offended or otherwise, it's regarding the association of weak/cowardly with the word "girl".

    • @fuzzasco4896
      @fuzzasco4896 5 лет назад +4

      @@AlsActionEnglish I understand that, and it was what I was getting at with the "for whatever reason that may be". I just think that taking exception to the association simply adds another dimension to the insult, enhancing it (for lack of a better term), since its whole purpose is to offend.
