I just had a bilateral mastectomy 2 months ago. The left side burned like fire every time I’d strip the drain. I think it was sitting on a nerve. The right side never had any problems. I’m all healed and doing chemo now! Prayers to all going through this. It’s really not that bad when you consider the alternative!

This is mostly what I was TOLD. The visual is so helpful. The hospital should be telling patients about these videos, especially as the instructions were almost a month before the surgery. And maybe a family member or friend helping out would find this helpful. Great job.

I'm getting ready for my surgery and this was most helpful. I feel more prepared and can show them what I know. My healing will go better with me informed.

Agree with comment #1. Traveling nurse hardly gave any of these instructions .. Luckily the surgeon visited my Mom prior to her discharge and showed me how to do it.

This is so informative my mom just had surgery a day ago and discharge was alot of information that it’s so hard to remember everything when you come home.

They told me about the bulbs at my pre-op appointment, I fear they would be a headache especially if you do not have anyone around to help, my surgery is on the 31st.
