Thank you very much and to the lady with Lymphoedema. I also have leg Lymphoedema and wanted to know how to bandage as leg uncomfortable. I have had leg bandaged before by a therapist, however I need to be able to carry out procedure myself. Bridget

Hi there, we can't offer specific advice on RUclips. We encourage you to talk to your care team about your concerns.

      Hi, Ali,
Thanks for reaching out. Bandages should be kept on for 23 hrs out of 24. You should remove and inspect the skin, shower and reapply with fresh stockinette and you may re-use the bandages. Make sure you wash the stockinette daily and bandages every 2-4 uses.
You can use a bike short or some spandex shorts that go over the top of the bandages to prevent it slipping down. You can also use a silicone adhesive to keep the bandages from slipping or you have to bandage tightly at the thigh area.

Ali, I don't know if you ever received an answer to your question about how long to leave bandages on your legs after wrapping them. When my legs are wrapped, my therapist has me come twice a week to remove the bandages, do manual lymph drainage on my legs, then wash my legs, apply lotion to them, and rewrap. My legs stay wrapped until all swelling is gone, usually 4-6 weeks, depending upon how swollen the legs are when I begin treatment. Hope this gives you a better idea.

Jo Roman , after the 4-6 Weeks, is your Lymphedema reduced? I will try & have patience to do so. Thanks for info. Bridget
