What’s up bro bro. So my interview went awesome. I’m at the top of the list to get called for work. Currently studying for my concrete certification. My coworkers at the job in leaning keep warning me about getting laid off. So since you’ve have been in the local 12 for a good little minute now, what kind of information can you tell me about layoffs? Only thing is I changed my application to inspection
@@andy_o6133 layoff are as bad as you think. If you work hard and you let it be known to your Forman and Super that you want to stay within the company usually, they’ll try to find you a spot within the organization.
You the man. I just took the test it was pretty easy. I realize you gotta get a really high score to get accepted in Hey does it mean when you’re on the A list or C list?
@@andy_o6133 lol why am I the man? So there is two ways to get into the union. 1st the apprenticeship, the other is the c list. Since you took the test I know you know what the apprenticeship route is but the c list is when you go down to the hall and pay a fee and they put you on the c list. Like the apprenticeship program after you have put in enough hours you are then put on the A list. The end goal no matter the route you take is to get on the A-list.
@@SpeedyPerkins88 you the man because your sharing all these tips, I’m definitely going to hold my cards close to my chest when I get in. I have really high goals so I don’t want people praying for my down fall either. I studyed my ass off so I think I’ll get a least a 90 on the test plus I have experience being the lead operator at a refinery so hopefully that will get me in, in a timely manner. Before we took the test the instructor told us that they only accepted 4 people in the apprenticeship program last year for Las Vegas.
@@SpeedyPerkins88 the letter in the mail said congratulations you have been scheduled for a Oral interview. And I’ll be ready for the pee pee test fursure!
@@andy_o6133 you will see! don’t quit your job yet. After you pee you will start going to the training site for a minimum of 2 weeks. I was at the training site for 4 months, my buddie has been there since Nov!! But once you start working…. You will love it dude. Again congratulations!!
