I've been doing 3D Modeling and Rendering for almost 20 years. I've been working with HDRI Lighting for about 15. Even now, there are times I get rusty, or slip up and forget small but important things that wind up jacking up the whole scene. These videos are just fantastic for sharpen up, knock the rust off, and cover all the broad strokes in a short amount of time.
Hello sir, First and foremost amazing very relevant video but I have an important question regarding this. Why is it like whenever I upload an HDRI image ("spherical" as "mapping type") in my scene It seems completely out of scale whereas if if put that same HDR Image into Bitmap mode in the Material slot then Put it in "environ" instead of "texture" and "screen" as "mapping" (all in the coordinate tab) the HDRI quality gets much better in my Active viewport (However with the VrayHDRI material option, my HDRI looks way zoomed in). So how in your tutorial the sky looks proper clean from the get go ? Thanks for your lecture.
Awesome tutorial. I'm Impressed by real-time view and how your machine performs. Will be grate if you can do a video with your recommendations on hardware. What's the key machine components you will go for with a reasonable price?
here's chap RTX - I'd get that since everything moving to RT www.amazon.com/s?k=laptop+rtx&i=electronics&rh=n%3A13896617011%2Cp_n_feature_four_browse-bin%3A2289792011%2Cp_n_feature_seven_browse-bin%3A18107822011%2Cp_n_size_browse-bin%3A7817234011%2Cp_n_feature_five_browse-bin%3A13580787011%7C13580788011&s=price-asc-rank&dc&qid=1588053188&rnid=2257851011&swrs=A34F045A2A1BEF9B785BE3CCBCD806E6&ref=sr_st_price-asc-rank#ace-4993291862
thanks for the tutorial. I learn a great deal from this. One thing I want to share about the VrayAerialPerspective that it wont work with just adaptive dome light. You got to have sunlight for it to work. What do you think?
Awesome video love your lessons! I am wondering if you could do a lesson on puddles as I would like to add the wet look on the ground like there is in this scene. Much appreciated!
Hi, Thanks for the awesome review on the Alienware r5. I have a quick question, I am thinking about buying the (core i9 ) configuration, Do you think this will help my 3ds max v-ray workflow? In other word which is better for 3ds max workflow core i9 OR core i7? Cheers
Hi, i have a question, actually two. Firtsly, i have seen some examples that people use hdri+vray sun light together for exterior rendering, so if use sun light with hdri do i lose the speed advantage that you mentioned on 5:11 because of the gi engine? İs putting a vray sun to the scene increasing the render time? Secondly, what is the resolution of hdri photo that you use? Thanks and take care.
you get extra light to control and a bit more realistic results with VRay sun and HDRI...HDRI normally used as ambiance and reflection for the exteriors. Sun adds extra shadows - just needs to be matched position to get a smooth effect. Watch this split hdri method ruclips.net/video/X2aES1BuAu4/видео.html

Not the first person to mention inverse gamma. Thanks for the tip.
Not the first for you lol..

Really good videos! Thanks for sharing. Would you recommend using HDRI or Vray sun for animations in terms of speed/quality?
Thank you so much.. Very much useful..
Awesome tutorial sir, can you tell me your full system spec?

hi, thank you for the tutorial. How did you do the water reflection on ground? thanks
materials blend
Thanks Alex. I am big fan of you. Thank you
good video, it's important to choose a good HDR image, maybe you could recommend a few
Yeah, I like Peter Guthrie. ViZ-Pople had really nice pack..24K HDRI's ...But these were supplied by ChaosGroup, so I guess they did it themselves.

here another good tutorial for exterior lighting ruclips.net/video/tCydat4Grio/видео.html
Vray is awesome!
It is the GI (global ilumination) enable?
sir make some tutorial for how to make exterior glass reflection add in rendering.
Thanks dear
Where did u download hdri
