that moment when you do a yeehaw and you expect more people in a crowd share it with you but mid-way through you realise you are the only one doing it and you feel awkward so you keep it down :D
Thanks. Yeah, I passed it without actually preparing myself for it. Out of pure curiosity, I wanted to see how many questions I could answer just like that (if I had failed, I still could have repeated the test in a month or so), and I got most of the questions right. Not all of them, but enough to pass.
Granted... I was actually born in the country (hence US Citizen...) but based on sample questions I've seen online and else where, yes the US citizenship questions are like that. Sad fact is that a lot of born citizens probably couldn't answer half the questions. :p
I promise I could not and the "supreme law" bit would confuse me, even though I know the Constitution is the highest form of authority in our country. But yeah, I don't know shit about geography or addresses, I couldn't tell you who wrote our anthem unless someone reminded me and I couldn't give a shit less about those things, because I don't feel they are that important. I mean, unless you're on a mission to save the president with your knowledge of the national anthem's history. Patriotism doesn't necessarily mean full knowledge of your country, fortunately. Wouldn't hurt to try to commit some of this to memory, however.
You are sort of right; they give you a study guide with 100 possible questions they'll ask but then only ask you ten of them. Your Social Studies teacher duped you!
A lot of it really isn't that hard lol. Still, good for him! I'm naturalized myself but was under 16 when my parents became citizens so I didn't have to be tested, and seeing them stress over that exam was quite an experience.
I glanced at the title and at first thought it said... 'Craig Ferguson Takes U.S. Censorship Test' Do you think the media has us psychologically primed yet? LOL
Substitute your leadership for "senators", etc. It is still sad you have no patriotism for your country; you have already abandoned your own future. Craig once said what is great about America is that if the government is in the wrong, it is the American people who corrects it. THAT is patriotism and I am proud to be one of those people who cares enough to participate. And I am proud to have a man like Craig as one of us. See his Colorado video. He is a class act.
I think it includes 'what do the stripes on the flag mean' and 'how many are there', as well. The list of 100 Qs is on a website, so people can study before they take the test, but it's a random ten out of all 100.
Dude it was a joke. The cross was from the editing in the program. She's smart enough to know he already gave the right answer and the next one was a joke.
Our Social Studies teacher gave us ten questions from that list. I believe I got eight out of ten, which *I think* makes me smart enough to be a citizen.
also depends if you're marrying a US citizen. if you're married to a citizen, then it only takes 3 years to become a citizen, but unmarried it takes 5.
That's not the entire test. I had to take the citizenship test for part of my Social Studies class, and it's 100 questions. I failed that test, and I failed this one.
its sad, i watched a vid where a guy went around asking people political questions like "what are the two houses of congress" most of them said "white house and black house"
Damn seeing this makes me proud to be American. It's sad that seeing a foreigner come into the country is what makes me feel that though, Americans need to be more proud.
I’m about 15yrs late, but welcome to paying outrageous taxes and having nearly nothing to show except bureaucrats that want to tax you more, and shitty roads.
Our social studies teacher gave it to us and I think I got eight out of ten. I think I failed the senators question because I hate paying attention to politics...although I do know who Speaker of the House is, because his name is John Boehner. Unfortunately, it doesn't sound the way it's spelled.
you mean the quick questions part at 2 min? I got em all xept star spangled banner then when Craig said the answer I was like, ohh yeaahhhh lol and the 'supreme law' one, makes sense once you hear the answer but its worded in a way I never heard before
Now be fair, how many of you got them right? I want to see percentages people! I got 40%, but then again I live in the Netherlands and was born in Russia so I got a bit of an excuse (i.e. I failed the "what are your congressmen" question).
Thank God I was born in America! I didn't know any of the answers! *mumbles* Of course it didn't help that I fell asleep in history either... *cough* =\
It's a good thing I was born here, I'd have to choke myself not to answer the questions with a joke and they'd never let me in....
lady " Do you work for WorldWide Pants inc" Craigs response".... i do".. I BURST OUT LAUGHING
As a born-and-raised American, Craig Ferguson is easily one of my favorite proud Americans.
Welcome to the US, Craig! OK, seven years too late, but, hey, still welcome!
+Eu Sei he was on the waiting list for 6 years.
2:42 The little “Yeehaw” was too good!
that moment when you do a yeehaw and you expect more people in a crowd share it with you but mid-way through you realise you are the only one doing it and you feel awkward so you keep it down :D
omg the look he gives the camera at 1:23 after being asked where he works is priceless!!!
Even as a canadian, I found this test extremely easy.
Sadly, a large percentage of Americans would have found it extremely difficult.
It's funny seeing Craig resisting the will to be silly and play with the questions and answers.
He is SO. FREAKING. ADORABLE.
Puff daddy and frances scott key wrote the national antheme...haha😊
Thanks. Yeah, I passed it without actually preparing myself for it. Same, same.... for me. Totally agree with it all.....
Love from Texas! ✌🤠💜
Canada would be building a fence! LOL
This was hilarious, everyone was such a good sport!
I feel like an hour or two of reading some magazines would have covered that test
took this test a week ago and i will be taking a oath in a week from today, easy test after studying the book and cd for about 2 to 3 weeks.
Thanks. I hope you can help keep some of the actual foundations we stand on. :)
5 years later. Congrats!!
I sure miss this show :(
You are sort of right; they give you a study guide with 100 possible questions they'll ask but then only ask you ten of them. Your Social Studies teacher duped you!
Craig could've gotten every question wrong and he would still be in.
I mean, it's Craig Ferguson
Hahaha he is great
Awww.... That was awesome! Can't believe, I never saw this....
🇺🇸💕 ~ His love for America was always adorable... and genuine. WTG Craig! 🇺🇸🗽🏛🇺🇸💙💕
A lot of it really isn't that hard lol. Still, good for him! I'm naturalized myself but was under 16 when my parents became citizens so I didn't have to be tested, and seeing them stress over that exam was quite an experience.
well don sir well don
HA! Good one, Craig! As if Diane Feinstein is a lovely woman!
I glanced at the title and at first thought it said...
'Craig Ferguson Takes U.S. Censorship Test'
Do you think the media has us psychologically primed yet? LOL
I know I’m late to the party, but congratulations Graig, you are most welcome!
This is the first episode of the LLS I remember watching.
He should of had Sid the rabbit take the test for him.
Substitute your leadership for "senators", etc. It is still sad you have no patriotism for your country; you have already abandoned your own future.

Any American who doesn't know all those answers should be ashamed of themselves
Well, what do you know. I could be an American without studying.
I think it includes 'what do the stripes on the flag mean' and 'how many are there', as well. The list of 100 Qs is on a website, so people can study before they take the test, but it's a random ten out of all 100.
God bless you craig! you're now one of us!!! amen to that!
My best friend recently took her citizenship test, and after watching this video she said that the questions are actually that easy lol.
There are a lot more questions than that.
What the fuck man, I thought you were going to be our prime minister (Australia)!!!!!
I'm not American but i got most of them right. What a fun test!
Yikes he was asked more questions than i was. Mine were three questions and congratulations you're approved.
Damned handsome citizen.
Haha the end: "weeknights after Dave!"
Most patriotic dude on TV
Dude it was a joke. The cross was from the editing in the program. She's smart enough to know he already gave the right answer and the next one was a joke.

"someone"
It's the best description for soneone who can't understand a simple sentence.
A friend just did this and he didn't have many questions to answer, and they weren't very hard.
Yes, and I laugh at Canada from time to time also.
Just saying Diddy really did write the StarSpangled Banner
Puff Daddy... xD LMAO!!
You go Craig!
He looked like a little kid with is hoodie so cute =3 A little kid taking a test ^^ Congratulations =D (even if this has 3 years ago ^^)
100% *
*Puff Daddy
Awww, he's so cute!!! I love him!!! He's hularious ; p
It should be common knowledge.
not all common knowledge is important. i don't plan on utilizing any of this information in my work.
Is it wrong to say Julie, the USCIS adjudicator, was pretty? No? Ok, then she was pretty... probably still is pretty.
Three years later... yeah, she still is for sure!
That's not the entire test. I had to take the citizenship test for part of my Social Studies class, and it's 100 questions. I failed that test, and I failed this one.
As a Canadian, you would need it too be easy.
that doesn't mean anything.
everything.
its sad, i watched a vid where a guy went around asking people political questions like "what are the two houses of congress" most of them said "white house and black house"
Damn seeing this makes me proud to be American. It's sad that seeing a foreigner come into the country is what makes me feel that though, Americans need to be more proud.
My question is this: Who did she have to pay off to be the one who gets to sit in a room alone with Craig? Lucky lady.
I’m about 15yrs late, but welcome to paying outrageous taxes and having nearly nothing to show except bureaucrats that want to tax you more, and shitty roads.
What? You're confusing me.
Home of the whopper.
It's kind of embarrassing when you call out people whilst misspelling "embarrassing"
I was born here --- I wouldn't have gotten all of them right.
My gov final was the citizenship test.
Gee, ya think?
Correct about what?
My dad is cuban and didnt take the test till he was near his 30s he passed it in a minute its different now. But i think they just pit more questions
i got most of those wrong and i'm american...and i just learned about that stuff too...
Our social studies teacher gave it to us and I think I got eight out of ten. I think I failed the senators question because I hate paying attention to politics...although I do know who Speaker of the House is, because his name is John Boehner. Unfortunately, it doesn't sound the way it's spelled.
i feel like that's the only vocabulary you know.
you mean the quick questions part at 2 min? I got em all xept star spangled banner then when Craig said the answer I was like, ohh yeaahhhh lol and the 'supreme law' one, makes sense once you hear the answer but its worded in a way I never heard before
welcome to america, Mr. ferguson. lol
My green card was pink but that was decades ago 🤷♂️
I got 1 wrong, and I'm Canadian.
by today's standards, he got last one wrong
I wonder if he would have gotten such easy questions if he weren't a celebrity...
Haha wonder how many US citizens would know who wrote their national anthem XD
ain't gon front...i ain't no all dem answers. I'm a gangsta, but chall knew that
my parents had to take the test to become citizens. it isn't hard but you'd be amazed how many americans actually DON'T KNOW these things *smh*
Got it.
Now be fair, how many of you got them right? I want to see percentages people!
I got 40%, but then again I live in the Netherlands and was born in Russia so I got a bit of an excuse (i.e. I failed the "what are your congressmen" question).
Yes under the assumption that that the South separated from the union but from a legal stand it is not possible nor legal to separate from the union.
Marvin Harrison Smith II, there is no right of secession in the Constitution; however, neither is secession expressly legally prohibited.
Thank God I was born in America! I didn't know any of the answers! *mumbles* Of course it didn't help that I fell asleep in history either... *cough* =\
That´s it ? It´s harder to take a drivers license than to become a citizen.
Actually, what you saw in this video is just the last step. It's a bit more complicated that this.
... and puff daddy xD
This dude really is unique ! I wish he had pass the french citizenship test instead =/
those 2 dislikes falied the test
Same here,I got 7 out of 10 right
29 June 2009? I graduated high school that day!
To be fair, to most American citizens, this would be considered 8th Grade US History.
nocalsteve
And most Americans couldn't pass it.
wonder if he's still a democrat in 2019
I am proud of myself. I knew all the answers to the questions but 1.
What did SHE say on 1:20
"... as a host?"
I failed. A very small scope of questions tho. :)
next time you want to disprove someone's conclusion. don't give a pointless statement and call them a moron. it makes you a hypocrite.
It was. He wanted to be an American. It was his real test.
