Are the lights the same size by any chance ?
I have 3 of the foxtrot 1X's and they are beasts! don't let its small size and "only" 450 lumens fool you..they are very bright and small enough that when on your gun they do not make it nose heavy or cumbersome. Sig knocked it out of the park with these foxtrot lights!
Any issues or anything to add after posting this a while back? I'm looking to possibly purchase this light. Thanks for your time 🤙🇺🇲
i think the TLR-7A might have been a better comparison, but i do like the video. I've been looking for a light for a little while, definitely going to ad the Sigs to my list
The main issue I've heard is holster compatability.
Sig, the only company that sells $100 red dots and $50 mags.

I got the Foxtrot 1X from PSA with a Dagger frame bundle deal. It's a well made aluminum body light with great output for a single cell small light. It's not as small as the Olight PL Mini 2 but a bit smaller than the TLR7. I love all three and there are advantages and disadvantages to each. I'm really glad I opted to get the little Sig/Dagger bundle. If the offer came back I'd buy more.

Shoulda compared with tlr7(a) as its the same class of light
Bought a Foxrot1X recently. Price is absolutely outstanding compared to a streamlight. Realistically, even if you can see across a lake with your pistol light, it doesn’t mean you can hit anything. Lumens are key here, imo. You don’t need a billion lumens to see what’s well within realistic pistol range for the average person. 450 lumens on the F1X is more than enough and that Infinity Guarantee is solid.

Absolutely EXCELLENT video on affordable lights. Your practical comparisons provided spot-on information for me to make my first light purchase and know what I want for subsequent purchases. The foxtrot1 is on sale for $69.99 at PSA, now, and it will perch, nicely, on my Canik TP9SF and, down the road, my Taurus TX22. For my long guns, I have to go with the Streamlight for the greater distance capability.

I have a foxtrot 1 and I love it. It's perfect for it purpose. If I need intense illumination at over 100 yards, I fucked up and should have grabbed a rifle.
I would have definity used the TLR7A for comparison

The lights gotta be popular for the holsters to exist. But people won't buy the lights if the holsters don't exist. It's a catch 22
Look on etsy. There are a number of makers out there that will provide custom rolled holsters at reasonable prices. I have one for my p365 with that supports the insane setup of having the tactical rail attachment (adding the missing pick rail) with a balder mini O light. It's a Frankenstein's monster, but it's a temporary solution. The holster however worked out great.
Safariland holsters for the tlr1 fit fine..
I found a holster on Etsy sold by TR Holsters. Fitment is really good. What’s even better is PSA had a sale on the Foxtrot1X for $60 shipped. Light output and throw is great . Light activation is relatively stiffer compared to Streamlights, but it’s not too bad. You definitely won’t accidentally activate. Rail mounting adjustability is really good too. I highly recommend.
The ability to switch modes from "down" for momentary on to "up" for momentary on could be useful for those wanting to run the Foxtrot2 on the top of a rail.
I got a Foxtrot 1X for like, $50 from my work. And it’s one of the few lights that actually fit my CZ P-01.

I have a foxtrot 1x for my sig p320c. I got a holster from we the people, sig p320c with tlr 7a, and it fits the foxtrot 1x. Got the light from a gun show for seventy five bucks, not bad.

I have had a foxtrot 1x on my p365xl for a year. It is second only to surefire 300 in my opinion. I have most main stream lights, the SIG lights are a little known secret.
I dislike how little this guy even talks about formfactor or the purpose between the two models. What's the point of the 1X? Just to be more compact? Also I just checked sig's website and the 1X page says it doesn't fix any p365 models. Weird
@@VulcanXIV fits when you add a tactical development proledge rail. But I guess you'd need to know what your actually talking about before you open your mouth. It's not your fault, you just follow the crowd and being ignorant is the cool thing.
I don't know if you read comments on a year old video but I would love in weapon light reviews to see them mounted on a few common guns for a sense of scale. "Here is the light on a G19, you can see it goes well past the muzzle." "This light is a compact light and here it is on a 365 and it fits nicely" "This big duty light goes past on the muzzle even on full size pews like the G17" as some examples.
The Foxtrot 1X is not my favorite WML. But for mounting on a PCC for bump in the dark it has sufficent battery life and throw in and around a condo. If I need it, I'm going to have them sized as evidence, and the $75-on-sale F1X and the $125-on-sale Romeo being stolen from the evidence locker will piss me off less. Never seen gun come out of evidence without being stripped and/or screwed with.
Not a fan of the switches. But like you, I’d go with the F2 due to the higher candela and more rocker-esq switch. But I’ll not be leaving Streamlight anytime in the foreseeable future. Good video.
I'm still waiting for Cloud Defensive to release their EPL & EPL-c lights.
The EPL-c is just a little larger than the TLR7, but it's significantly more powerful and has a noticeably higher candela.

I have the sig foxtrot 1x on my Glock 19 clone I built and it’s sturdy, and I like that it doesn’t protrude past the muzzle. Very solid light, great price point, and it’s the perfect brightness! Doesn’t create a backward assault on your eyes by being too intense! 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Streamlight TLR1 is the boss. Never an issue and fits my XDM and Safariland holster perfectly.

Now that P365 X Macro came out the Foxtrot 2 will fit nicely (it wont fit thee XL). How does the Foxtrot2 compares to the TRL-7 SUB? The Foxtrot2 has a little over twice the candela from the TRL-7 Sub which is nice for Target ID

I'm pretty stuck with the TLR line and have trusted them since 1999 with the first M3. But the low prices of the FT1 has me tempted to try it.
I have the tlr7a and saw the price of the foxtrot 1 so I bought 1. I wish I would have known about the foxtrot 2, then again for the price of it, I think I'm still better off with the Streamlight tlr7a or sub.

I have read some pretty negative reviews from verified buyers in these on a few retailers sites PSA being one of them. I’m sure this is a China made import since they come in at the $50.00 mark when on sale.
I got one from PSA in a bundle buy and love it. I have several Streamlight and Olight WMLs and the Foxtrot 1X competes well with TLR7 and PL Mini 2. The pressure pads require more pressure than the others but that might be beneficial for avoiding accidental on in a holster. I haven't yet found compatible holsters but this is a new light. I'm sure if it sells well holster makers will respond. Since its Sig and (IMO) a quality light, I expect that'll happen.

These are designed for a pistol, not a rifle. 1913 will always rule on pistols.
I have fox1 n it doesn’t fit my 365xl unless I’m doing it wrong.
If the Streamlight TLR7 Sub is an option mine has been excellent on my standard 365.

Internal rechargeable batteries eventually fail, then you need to throw away the entire light. The battery life also slowly starts to degrade the moment you charge it for the first time. Replaceable rechargeable batteries would be the best option, but I don't believe anyone makes rechargeable cells of that size

I really hope people aren't using the light attached to their pistol to clear their homes, especially people who have kids in the house. Lights are great but if you've got your finger on the trigger there's a big chance of shooting the first thing the light illuminates.
