@@kpremo88 since they didn't respond I'll tell you what I thought was making it harder. Although I like that spinner tool (I do fence about 10 times a year for work and have never seen it) you can accomplish the task with just a small flathead , I like a chainsaw wrench as you'll probably have one on site anyways and they're usually just small enough. Really anything is good and you only have to do one side of the clip (the side you did twist). Overall screw that guy you got your fence up but you could save a bit of time and only lose one tool lol.
Well if its free i guess..... but i couldn't tell you how much steel twine i have and spools of barbwire in the barns. Im on 47 acres now but before it was 144acres and especially after a storm you got to get your gear, saddle one of the horses ride/walk the perimeter, pull and patch fence, get the horse back, unload, brush the horse down, etc. etc. You need some fence pliers (what we call em in the south or line pliers) it'll make life easier and dinner sooner.
I would love for one of the people who say I’m doing it wrong to explain how. Only difference I’ve seen is when you’re using 4”x4” or single strand fencing, you can just use fencing pliers or something to twist it freely around.
Hey ! Yes your on your way ! Hey but lemme recommend getting yourself a nice pair of fence pliers ..it'll save your hands and it's just one tool you need ! Check it them out I've spent hundreds of ours putting up fence just like this lol with those exact clips lol
Y’all. I can bend the small hook side first and it still slips off. Anyone saying I’m doing it wrong, please show me how to do it right on a 2x4 welded wire fence. I know I don’t have to wrench it down, that’s just preference. But the first bend with the clip bender tool and it slips right off almost every time. Fencing pliers are good for single stranded wire…. *I may be arguing with bots but at least someone can see that their responses don’t have any legitimacy.
Wife and I did about 900' using those. They aren't the best but they are free. I didn't bother putting the bend in everyone but I did have to manhandle a few. Looks like you have it under control. I didn't tighten them nearly as much as you did...just snugged them a twist around the fence wire. You did just fine.
@@kpremo88 you see the longer end that you were twisting in the beginning? That side goes on first, that’s how you don’t struggle to put it on, then you can wind it around like you did
Finally the truth leaks out about tractor supplies. T-post clips... THEY SUCK. 😊 Thank you so much for this video. I just came in and sat down thinking there must be a better way after sweating and cussing all morning pinching my fingers trying to figure out how this fancy new clip tool worked on these sucky tractor supply clips. Why anyone would design a clip that has more to twist on one side than the other boggles my mind, especially when they intentionally made one side of the clip longer than it needed to be at the cost of making the other side too short to work properly. Even with your method which was to get that side as tight as you can get, it's still fall short of at least two bull wraps. three would be better before your fence is truly secure from any animal that would choose to rub against it from the wrong side. Animals can be quite stupid that way. How they end up on the wrong side of the fence. All the time is anybody's guess. Unless of course, you take into consideration that you live in one of those uppity farming communities were fences are built, facing out for good looks. Wake up America. There's far more to life than how it looks from the road.
Buddy use some small plumbers pliers and trust me it will go faster than you would think grabs those little shuts better than wire fence pliers and can wind them up 2-3 times around the wire that thingamibob you have is a hack ah tool 🤦🤣
You took something simple and made it harder than it needed to be lol
Then how do you get it not to pop off?
You put it through the hole @@kpremo88

You're putting it on the hard way. Try putting the hook side on first

We loved them ❤ but your video helped us love them

Excellent thank you
I spend the extra money buy the chain link fence connectors. They are more malleable and will actually get your fence tighter.
With small plumbers pliers you can get them tight the tool this lady is using is what’s leavening it loose
what is the tool your using to tighten?
You dont need needle nose pliers. Just put the tool through the loop and twist. Also drill out the tools hole a little larger.
I love your ring
What is the name of that tool you’re using with yellow handle?
Clip Bender a.co/d/23Qxi9c
Lol. She shoulda watched other vids b4 making this
Thank you!!!!!
Just use a phillips head screw driver.
nice video
Yeah......that's not how those work at all. Maybe google it next time?
They work fine your putting them on wrong Lolol
Yeah don't use snap on needle nose pliers 😂 they slip
You can use whatever you want. The needle nose are what worked best for me.
Put the longer side on first
is that an elevator door key in your right hand??
You turned the clip upside down. Also hook end first.

So, they suck because you don’t know how to use them?
Then how do you use them?

I’m about to do 1200 feet of that bullshit thank you
Honestly 1200ft…. It may be worth your time to just buy the good ones.

t-post clips aren't really designed for welded fence designed for hinge joint or Kno wire
I feel your pain.
Besides making it way to difficult you bent on the actual fence and it’s gonna be an eye sore
Fencing is supposed to be on the other side of the T-post.
Nope, the fence is on the correct side

No clue. First fence and making videos

Your on the wrong side
It's a poor mechanic who blame their tools.
Cmon you do the short end first
