Cameron Vincent I don’t think any of Aunt Wu’s predictions were wrong. She just seemed like more of a “pay attention to the words exactly” fortuneteller. However, she clearly isn’t some all seeing fortuneteller since she was genuinely surprised by the cloud sign Aang and the gang showed her which makes me think if she has any special powers, it more of reading and understanding signs rather than literally seeing the future.
@@charmishing I guess the argument would be that the "town gets destroyed by volcano" cloud sign they made surprised her because it wasn't the future she originally saw. There's got to be some method if she only does the cloud reading once a year on the same day. Especially since her cloud fortune was correct in the end. The town wasn't destroyed by the volcano that year. We could nit pick the episode to death, but I think it's much simpler and creates a more enchanting experience to just believe in her powers.

@ShinobiPrince i agree with him being so childlike and sheltered but i think it's to really show that aang lived in a much more innocent time than how the world is now. i know the loss of his people was traumatizing but katara and sokka were born into the world like this. but i think that's part of his development through the seasons. the more he learns about the world the more powerful he becomes and more mature without losing that sense of humility and charity.

The mistake nice guys make is thinking being nice is enough for someone to want to want some sort of relationship, romantic or otherwise. That works for awhile as kids when we are more simple, but eventually people get more complex and need more from their friendships and significant others. Take it from someone who took a little longer to catch on.
I think the actual mistake of boys/men who are called "nice guys", is to equate trying to please sb as kindness/being nice. There are tons of reasons these are not the same, but two of them are, that the first can come from insecurity/lack of self estime/self confidence/respect, whereas the second (when it's genuine) comes from a free desir to be kind to the other. A second one is having an utlerior motive (every actions humans make are never 100% selfless obviously, as we are beings with our owns needs and desirs, but they're can be not 100% selfish too), that the actual reason to be "nice" is to obtain something from sb, not actually being nice for being nice, as in having the other best interest at heart.

This happens to be one of my favorite episodes of this season. The way he cools the lava is awesome.
