  • The families of the victims of the Nottingham attacks have said the killer should face a retrial on a murder charge.
    Findings from a new independent review published on Wednesday mean Valdo Calocane should be retried on the more serious charge, the families told Sarah-Jane Mee.

    The fact that he was not charged with murder is a disgrace and I believe that was so that the whole truth would not come out. This confirms it, and to make the families sign an NDA is an even bigger disgrace.

    I have worked around Nottingham as a service engineer, vending machines. Preventive maintainance and taking wads of cash out, back to car. 15 years ago. Even at Radford Rd, Hyson Green, that had it's iussues like Lenton years back gang related ( Largely a black community that gangs ran over) , I never felt at risk , just be chilled and confident. Something has changed and it is not the people that were there. It's government policy that is destroying this country

    Message to Starmer……Every shortfall needs to be examined in public. Every person whether a doctor, psychiatrist, police officer, care assistant, whatever, needs to be publicly named and their role taken apart. Every email, document, report, text of whatever form needs to be published. We do not want yet another report with, ‘advice given’, ‘standards to improve’, ‘training to be improved’ and all that rubbish. Negligence needs to be outed and full compensation paid. This has all the makings of a public scandal. These poor families want real answers.

    Having had a family member sectioned by the NHS mental heath and being appalled at the fact that sectioned family member was able to walk out of a secure ward when he felt like it and be a danger to himself and others,my heart goes out to these grieving families. It’s just so disgusting that mental health policing and the cps are political footballs being thrown around in the Houses of Parliament.

    Life in a secure hospital will be far worse than life in prison. Violent inmates are drugged into zombies. Normal prison officers cannot cope with characters as sick and violent as this.

    But what is the distinction re diminished responsibility and treatment resistant schizophrenia and treatment receptive schizophrenia … it’s both schizophrenia. Don’t quite follow that?

    • @needtosleep7948
      @needtosleep7948 2 часа назад +1

      Treatment resistant implies that he takes his meds and they simply don't work - which wouldn't be his fault. But the report paints a different picture, it says he's treatment receptive but that unless he's strapped down and forcefully injected he refuses to take his own meds - at which point a part of the responsibility for his actions falls squarely on his own shoulders.

    Vlad is now a drone operator? When he is not busy cutting undersea cables and blowing up gas pipelines, of course! "Boy Soldier" was 18 years and a mercenary.
    Let's go down memory lane to a time when then UK foreign secretary Liz Truss supported the idea of people traveling to Ukraine to fight on the Ukrainian side as early as 27 February 2022.
