The laughter while running this says it all, looks like a blast! I plan one picking one up as well, always fun to try something new and the execution looks very good on this.
I'm not much of a dirt bike guy, but the tech underneath this rig is absolutely incredible. I'd love to see them put it in some sort of road bike, because I'd be all over something like that.
I rode motorcycles for over 40 years. One thing I learned is if there is a market for it........ With this advancement in gyro-electronics, I see many moto-genres opening up along with a prodigious aftermarket of personalizing upgrades.
Considering how these took off, im sure youll see streetbike conversions... i mean, with the sopermotard wheel swap it essentially becomes a "street bike" but im sure some creative people will come up with streetbike conversion mods, probably wouldnt be too much for 3d printers to make fairings
I'm an old time R/C Air guy. Planes, drones and helicopters. That said I did the early preorder and received mine this past week. WOW! is all I can say. This thing is rock solid. It is really easy to drive /ride even for a air guy. I have only ran it twice now due to oppressive heat we've all had. I've run it mostly loose gravel and what a blast. It can easily handle grass as well. The onboard tech is amazing and the entire package is extremely well thought out. Losi has a barn burning winner here. It will but a huge smile on your face. GET ONE!
Best review and running footage of this thing so far and I have watched pretty much all of em. Also you are the first person to mention and show that you can change the way the bike leans. Awesome review sir🤘
As a dirt bike rider and rc driver im afraid ill have to make the track out back into a MX track!! Just bought tickets to Washougal MX National race in 2 weeks! Saw a video earlier of several of these on a track and the control was not good BUT they were all laughing!! That's what we need in this sport!!pure laughing and joy! Fun!! ❤😊
Losi really has something great here. I'm imagining there could be different body panel swaps for different motorcycles (adv/sport/etc) and the aftermarket scene could be cool to see with this.

I had a Nuova Faor road bike back in the day. No gyro at all, took an acre to turn around. It was a challenging kit to assemble. No English instructions, that God there was pictures.

I've watched people racing them and it looks like a blast. They had their own mini supercross track with banked corners whoop de doo's tabletops doubles triples it was insane. These things jump really wicked too. Controlling the front end with throttle while in the air looked sick too. The way they filmed it on the bikes level made it look super scale. You can see why they made these things. I want one!lol
I'm guessing the rider is always headbangin? He seems a little hunched and forward on the bike, is the rider position adjustable? Seems like a good release from losi. The bike is pretty awesome. Losi has always had great suspension, my favorite shocks in general are the old losi 8e buggy shocks. So I imagine they have done well on this setup
When having to make a tight turn to whip it around, try braking before entry to get the rear end to slide the opposite way of the turn, then roll into throttle. I was able to get the turns down on my second outing with my promoto. Great review.
I really hope proline makes a rear paddle tire for this so it can rip the sand dunes at the beach... I really want one, just gotta sell a couple other rcs first.
I've already seen one guy making an extended swingarm for hillclimbs/drag racing. And it is standard 04b roller chain. These would make for a great Monthly mayhem...
It’s definitely a different world on 2 wheels. Get some friends and keep track of how many times that each of you have to pick it up. And yes on my Christmas wish list!
The real front disk break is awesome. You should glue the exhaust tip on. I almost lost mine 3 times before I CA glued it on. Once it comes off it doesn't stay on anymore unless you glue it. I sanded the inside and the tip where it makes contact then clean it with alcohol before e CA gluing it together. Hasnt comes off since. I have the blue one too. I ordered the green one first and overgot it. I'm still waiting for my pre-order. I feel shafted as I would have ordered red and blue first. Do you have any clue why the green one hasn't been sent yet?

I think a stiffer neck and more flexible arms would help in realism. It IS cool to see the suspension doing it's thing in the slo-mo. Is the front brake servo trim adjustable? Maybe a little front brake drag would be a good thing? Good job to Losi for thinking out of the box. The more scale realistic models help this hobby tremendously.
Man this is pretty cool ! I want one really bad ! I have a few RC4WDs maybe if I stop buying so many awesome goodies for them , I may be able to save up enough money to get one of these motorcycles , I think Iosi did an amazing job of this product.

The leaning turns the bike but all the input comes from handlebars/front wheel (especially irl). They must have countersteering built in to controls so cool?

@mark675 the excitebike, the kyosho hang on, the old Ricky Carmichel (sp) a gas powered no name I picked up at a swap meat. The kyosho was OK but ran on ni cd so heavy and short run times. The others complete crap!

It doesn't seem to be much of a "dirt" bike unless its hard packed. I've seen they already have street tires for this so, I hope they make a crotch rocket street bike version of this that can pull high speed dank nooners. I'd be more willing to buy in at that point. 🤓

I pre orderd the green combo bike, then the horizon website was update they had to cancel my order but I received a coupon for discount and i am back on the list to wait.
You see in some videos where it bounces after a hard landing and does a wiggle in the air… I think that’s a result of the MX6 gyro being turned up too much… almost like when you jump an RC car with AVC turned up all the way the wheels go crazy and then the car follows suit
It's killing me to see my order sitting there on "backorder". Not sure if the 100C battery I added to my order causing the delay or not. But I didn't have any 2S packs with IC5/EC5 connectors already. Will be making mine into a supermoto. Live in a quiet neighborhood with clean, smooth streets. Will be a blast out there.
From what i am seeing losi ordered 2x what they would for a normal preorder/release but still sold 5x that amount in preorders, and on top of that the container with the green bikes was about 2 weeks behind the red and blue. Hopefully they will be able to get them out in a reasonable time.

He's actually positioned pretty well compared to most bikes I've seen, it's pretty close to a seated attack position.
