Hello!!! Life is hard and stressful atm please show your support by liking, commenting, sharing and subscribing :) I am debating taking next week off from posting due to all the stressful shit going on atm i need to finish some projects and sort some healthcare fuck ups as usual 😭 hopefully with a week off i can come back a bit more fresh
ahh, ibd meds are hell!! I had to switch from aza to 6MP due to nausea/vomiting and then go off the medication entirely since it just got worse, not just on octasa and got told to "come back if i flare up again and we'll see about biologics" oof. I hope everything works out for you
Thats such a strange choice to not put you on biologics yet 🫠 but yeah i had no issues with mercaptopurine until we tried to up the dose?! And the IBD pharmacy were just obstructing my care by october last year i was fed up 😤 hopefully it all goes okay coz im done lol
I just have to say, your content is absolutely captivating! You have a real talent for explaining things in a way that's both clear and engaging. Please continue the excellent work!😊👍
Thank you i really appreciate that! Much of what i want to do here with my videos is make medical stuff easier to understand so that we have a bit more control and feel less overwhelmed and terrified. :) comments like this reaffirm i am doing that so thank you!
god it’s so stressful my path was mesalamine -> pred -> azathioprine -> 6mp -> remicade -> remicade plus methotrexate -> rinvoq IT’S ALL BAD!!! good luck
Yeah its a pain in the arse. Ive definitely been lucky to not switch my med type until now but IBD pharmacy were just obstructing my care and i was too concerned about my liver to keep pissing about like this any longer. Now its the trouble of trying to get in for blood tests every two weeks 🙄 god help me. I think i read some studies about mesalamine being used in combo with azathioprine but now cant remember WHY 😂 i think mesalamine can improve azathioprines effectiveness? Keeping that in my back pocket to bring up in future with my drs lol
@cd40612 get checked for the hepatic porphyrias. Many docs and hospitals are checking their crohns/ibs, etc patients for this because a big percentage are misdiagnosed and the drugs for the other conditions are hell for people with porphyria
