Great story Thogden. Even then your first thought after returning from the medical centre was football. You and your dad are icons in what you do, and deserve to get into football grounds, all over europe...even Union Berlin, which is difficult as a fan these days lol

Jeez wow what a story my parents are actually born in Madrid so naturally I’m an Atleti supporter and it’s kinda weird seeing the streets I walk on regularly on RUclips.😂
I’ve had several head injuries through my life. I’ve been hit, accidentally, by a golf club as a kid. I have fallen through a ‘fake’ bench and cut the back of my head open. I must have been three years old, if that, my dad had to hold the skin together on the back of my head to stop the bleeding, as at the time there was not a nearby hospital. Thankfully he was a doctor, so knew what to do. I’ve had another few on top of that. They’re not fun, but bounce back and I’m happy that there was a nearby A&E to help Thogden recover. Must have been scary for Thogdad, and I can imagine very haunting to retread those footsteps and go back to where it happened. I’m sure that there was a flood of memories return for each of them. But it’s good that the day had a happy ending, with Bolton’s qualification past Atletico Madrid, and ongoing life is good for the pair of them.

You're a legend I think I speak for us all is when we're happy you're all okay. The scar is a a memory for life and not all memories are positive. But it's surely a story you can be proud of and tellyour children and grandchildren. You are the person you are now and we are happy you are we wish you all the best luck in the future and present🙏❤️

My skull was fractured I was 5 due to someone fracturing my skull with a golf club and I have had a metal plate in my skull and a scar across the left side of my head ever since. I have had 3 operations on my skull due to it and very lucky to still be alive. I’m now 28 and try to enjoy life as much as I can.

Feel your pain Theo, I did a similar thing at about 4/5 years old. Wasn't looking where I was running and thunk, into a the corner of a new giant wooden bench that had been put in my town. Lucky for me it was right out side the Health Centre so was rushed in for stiches. Scar still there but not as wide as yours.
I had a similar injury when I was roughly the same age, however mine was when I was sledding in the snow and his my head on a skateboard ramps, all I remember is 2 guys carrying me hope to an ambulance and taking me to hospital

Stressful event and the occipitofrontalis is very highly vascularised, injuries to those areas often look very dramatic due to the blood volume. However they tend to be very well recovered from with fairly basic treatment (compression, suture, dressing). There’s a good reason for that thick globe of bone! Glad the scar isn’t bad either.

Your story is so good but I just swung on my chair didn’t even realise it was bleeding so kept swinging and ended up splitting it open in two corners of the back of my head😅

Jesus Christ what an over reaction, I did the same thing on my forehead, if not worse and I never went on about my bear death experience lol, so dramatic this video. on the pic of his cut it didn't even look that bad. can't even see the scar on his head anymore...

Wow what a story. I kinda had the same thing when I was little, almost exactly the same, and when I look back to it, and when you know wha happened, you're like 'ok it wasn't THAT bad after all, I had a serious wound but it was being cared of and I quit the hospital quite soon' but on the other hand, if that didn't happen, we could have died. Now it's not a scary thought anymore but it could have turned out in a different way

I had something similar happen. When I was 1 years old I ran in my dad's hotel and tripped and fell onto the metal edge of the stair. My head cracked open and the only real reason why I lived was because there was medical staff in the hotel to help reduce the bleeding so that we can get to the hospital. My parents said I was bleeding so much that I was choking on all of the blood dripping down my face.
When I was about the same age I fell in the concrete stairs at my house. I have a quite similar scar now just that it’s hidden under the eyebrow.
