Riffage for days. Rock solid backbone. Anger at tyranny. Moves that Mick Jagger can only dream of. Saw these guys in Detroit a few years ago and it was easily the best live show I've ever seen.
The Shape of Punk to Come (album not just the song) is my favorite Wah pedal usage ever. Add an amazing frontman and a really talented and creative drummer and you have a masterpiece.
@@Demention94 love deftones to bits but where as refused kept it real throughout all these years Deftones mellowed out after 4th album , I think they went abit maintstream and their popularity killed their music, a little bit like what happened with Metallica.

I mean they are not punk rock so it made sense for them to evolve as artists into what might seemed lkle more mainstream territory or popular styles. You also have to consider Chinos influences and there where a lot of that pop sound enters. I think each album offers something different.

I love the album “The Shape of Punk to Come” but never really paid attention to what the band looked like. It was kinda shocking/refreshing to see how they dressed. Looks like they put on a great show.
Some of these songs have been on my personnal playlist for the past 25 years and wow that they kick ass live. For the ones who have learn about them through Cyberpunk, you should take a look at the other projects of the singer: International Noise Conspiracy and INVSN. A lot softer and tone down in both cases but still some awesome music for the ones who have an open mind about it
