No carpet, black out shades, shade in the door, heated underbelly, heated tanks, attached latter, centralized air, power stableizers, etc. I would not miss the oven. Love the axle and suspension set up and wrangle tires too. Nice one. Thanks Nerd!
A few things killed us replacing our totaled 2106FBS (only came with sofa) which we really liked with the 2108FBS. The first is they eliminated the over bed cabinets. Those overhead cabinets were the only place to store any quantity of folded clothing. Another dislike is the pocket door in the bathroom which makes a small sink area even tighter and allows water to splash down the side of the vanity. The last was the change of the pantry door from the front to the side that came about with the new cabinet style. We also weren't happy with the loss of a range vent hood and oven but they weren't deal breakers since kits exist to add those after the fact (but no factory warranty :( ). We liked the repositioning of the counter extension and think the more modern cabinets look better than the more traditional style our 2106FBS had. We feel they did a good job on the rework of the bathroom wardrobe by moving the lower cabinet up so it doesn't get blocked by the toilet anymore. We also liked the 2nd wardrobe on the entry side of the bed. These also have one of the best showers we've seen in small trailers. Personally we think the sofa is the better option. It not only hides the wheel wells better but sitting lower it makes the trailer feel larger and gives a better view to the TV. If Winnebago were to restore the cabinets over the bed and return to a swinging bathroom door we would probably order a a sofa optioned 2108FBS and live with the end pantry door.
That is super nice that they put that glossy panel behind the oven and sink! I watched this video two months ago, but came back to it from a video that you linked from another version!
These micros are sharp. Taken individually they're easy to judge or underestimate. When you start looking at them vs. other things I think their real value comes out Not a lot of tandem axle narrow body stuff out there. That quality alone makes them pretty special I think I don't think that really translates well to camera most of the time though
The oven is one of the least used pieces of equipment in my camper. Rarely ever use more than one burner at a time either. We only cook indoors if its too cold or windy to cook outdoors.
I really like these little ones. Ember is still my top since it can go way off grid, but I am still interested in more like this. The one thing I still don't think I found yet is one with a theater seat directly facing the tv under 26ft. I like to game on the rainy days and tv positions like this just won't work for that.
Love the 400 lb dry hitch weight. Perfect for a mid-size pickup that often have less-than-ideal payload, despite boasting big maximum trailer weight ratings. Also, the 7' width pairs up great for the narrower mid-size trucks. Hitch this thing to your Colorado and go visit Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado or maybe chat up a National Park ranger in your Ranger.
That's exactly how I saw it! Usually smaller RVs feel chintz while more well equipped models typically come with weight ratings that disqualify a lot of vehicles Winnebago has managed to ride that line nicely I think
Josh, great video. Great little travel trailer. They did a lot of things right in my opinion. The step stabilizer you mentioned is very handy. I bought one for my camper a couple years ago and it’s worth every penny. Probably 40 or $50 I think. You pointed out that ladder reaching up onto the roof and I agree that is much safer! AnyWho, thanks for your enthusiasm of showing RVs day after day and you still come across as excited about it.
I try to find neat little things in all of them. I wont lie.. some of them get hard to "keep fresh" making content Like those "26" ft rear bath / private front bed one slide trailers. I've done so many of them. They're so very similar. But hey - they're also popular so why not?
I really like the new colors. The cabinets look much better in person as you suggested. There's a cool improvement on the 2024 2108. A much bigger camp side window and I believe a deeper cabinet over the stove/sink. Do you have a 2024 on your radar? Always appreciate your candid reviews.
I have the murphy bed / sofa version from 2018. There are some nice upgrades on this compared to mine. There is noticeably more storage in the kitchen area, at the price of the oven. The other part is the under bed and under seat storage that mine version can't have. There have been only a few issues I've had, compared to other RV owners I know have experienced. Most of the issues are tied to the Dometic / Furion common parts that everyone uses. The only issue that was actually a Winnebago build issue was that the slide started to detach after a few months of use, but it was fixed under warranty. I'd still buy another, but maybe not the same floorplan as I have now... It does tow nice, I used to pull it with a Grand Cherokee until I got an F-150.
I really applaud you for understanding and identifying supplier-based issues from mfg'ing based issues I do feel the MFGs could benefit from holding supplier feet to the fire a little more however

So, we rented this exact camper a few months ago. My hubs drives a Nissan midsize frontier and he said towing this camper was so light it felt like towing a trailer! I think this one is perfect to rent for a first timer like us because we could nitpick at what we like and don’t. That bathroom is too tight… the sink area is so hard to get into and the toilet needs to be taller. The shower was fine. The kitchen area is nothing fancy which is what I like. We did spend most of one day inside because of bad weather so we watched tv and my neck did hurt from sitting on the same side as the tv at the table lol. Overall it ain’t bad but I wouldn’t buy it because of the few reasons I didn’t like about it. I still undecided if we’d rather have a sofa with “tv table” or a dinette?!

I'm similar but my wife isn't keen on the murphy idea. I get it though. When we camp we just want as little to do as possible. Just having a bed made is nice
I've seen a couple of these in person and they appear to be fairly well put together but pricey. I like the big cross-breeze windows on each side of the bed...I wish the Rockwood Mini Lite/Flagstaff Micro Lite series would incorporate these types of bigger windows instead of the 'portholes' that they use. My biggest issue with Winnebago's travel trailers, especially the Micro Mini line, is that is appears that you're paying a premium for the name. Their MSRP's are really aggressive (not necessarily what Bish's is selling them for...but other dealers are), even in the non-FLX units, considering what you're getting. There are A LOT of comparable units from other MFGs that are not nearly as expensive, and the Winnebago MSRP is getting into the range of Embers, which are generally larger and clearly a superior build quality.
Adorable rv. No the tv doesn't matter. Capmping is about being outside. The counter extension is a smart idea. Llike the shade in the window. Wish the microwave was under the stove-top, since I'm too short to reach over my head witih a hot dish. Lack of an oven isn't a big deal. Are there any towables that can be pulled by a car or a minivan? If so, I'd love to see a video about that.
One of the 1st trailers I put on my list to consider was the Minnie Winnie. I am so happy to hear they are now making a twin bed floor plan. That just moved it to the short list. The original plan was traveling with my husband, but he is terminally ill so it will be traveling with a friend. It's fantastic to see more and more offering a twin option. I'm interested to see it with a couch and table. It seems like a table would take up a lot of walkway space. I will check this one out this weekend at the Cleveland RV show 😃
I'm sorry to hear about your husband's health, Penny 😢 I do think it's awesome though you plan to continue traveling. I've met several people (mostly women like yourself) that have made that choice who really feel it was one of the best things they ever decided to do
Sorry to hear about your husband. We owned the predecessor to this model the 2106FBS. It had the sofa and a table. The table did take up room but it wasn't the width so much as the length that we did not care for. If one person wanted to work the table blocked the other seat. We ended up not using the table inside and instead used a couple of oversized TV tray tables. This allowed one person to work while the other had unimpeded access to the sofa. The two tray tables fit in the same space behind the sofa that was designed to store the table. They were also lighter weight. We left the original table at home except when we knew we would need it for outdoor use under the awning.

Hey Josh, question for you, for this trailer as well as the model with the murphy bed option (2108DS) can the shelf above the bed that connects the two wardrobes be cut out to accommodate a less bendy mattress. We don't need that storage and were hoping if it wasn't structural to take the center piece of the shelf out to make a little more room height wise. Thank you!

Are the battery charge controllers on the 2108s (non-FLX models) compatible with Lithium Iron Phosphate batteries if I wanted to upgrade from the standard Lead-Acid / AGM batteries ?
Our preference would be 2 burner stove, 24" oven, standard microwave. We've never used all 3 burners at the same time in our current trailer, and we have a camp kitchen anyway. But we need a gas oven for baking muffins, cookies, bread, etc. if we're going to be out traveling for a week or more.
2 burner stove and oven both isn’t really available though I would like it as well. Suppliers don’t offer an oven separate from a 3 burner stove which is what that would need
With the comfortable murphy bed and sofa option this would be awesome for evenings or a cold or rainy day👍but as is, this uncomfortable dinette only floorplan leaves a lot to be desired😢
went to look at this trailer with the couch in it. it was wonderful but when we pulled out the couch it touched the kitchen counter so you couldn't get to the bathroom. Im hoping they fix that soon. i would really like to buy one.
I am not thrilled with the quality control of my 2022 170S Winnebago Hike (I watched your review on it). I bought it at the end of August and within the first month have had AC, heater, fridge and water heater problems. Only used it twice. There are a lot of things I love about it, but in some ways it feels like it was thrown together. Would have been easier to deal with if it wasn't so far to the dealer....

Hey Josh. The wife & I were at a local RV show and we were checking out the Winnebago. I think that it was the 2108. I was feeling the fender wells to see if it was metal or plastic, and was surprised that there was fabric. What do you know of this? Seems kinda cheap to me, and immediately put me off of Winnebago's. Hope that you can answer my question. Thanks,
Josh, this little rig looks great. I was wondering if Winnebago offers a non-slideout 2 person dinette version? I don't need the larger dinette and I prefer not having a slide out. Overall, I like most everything about this rig. I even like the color scheme inside. Cheers!
I like this trailer a lot, I even kinda like that grey green. For what I’m wanting to do, which is more off grid dry camping, this would be perfect. That all being said I think the price on the Winnie’s is way too high, and besides a good solar package, I don’t think I need one that’s so high end. I’d like to see that apex.
They do not offer an oven in these. One could be added later but usually the juice isnt worth the squeeze when it comes to cost They do have a few small bunk models though
Color isn’t a problem, they make paint everyday! Why are RV Manufactures not putting an oven in RV’s much anymore? I understand the size might have something to do with it. But it should still be available. Just my opinion. Thank you for showing a mid size option. Please show more.
MOST mfgs have actually standardized ovens where they were optional. In some small RVs there's limited room and sometimes an oven is removed. Winnebago is one of the only ones that went the other way. I think they're following some of the equipment/setup/logic of their smaller class B vans in these Micro Minnie models
I suspect you could add one after the fact. I don't think the wall framing was changed but I found Winnebago was very accommodating when I asked for wall and ceiling diagrams for our 2106FBS. The cabinet should also be strong enough to hold a light weight vent since it supports a convection microwave. It was something my wife and I discussed about Winnebagos and Lance who has also dropped the vent hood. Winnebago can probably tell you if you ask them.
The 2108's all run about the same and slide is standard so no variance there. You can see in-stock pricing on them at www.bishs.com/rv-search?stocknumber=2108 2108DS, FBS, TB all basically the same RV with the same costs. Just a slightly different bed setup
@@JoshtheRVNerd The strange thing Josh their lesser grade "cousin company" Grand Design is still giving their customers a range hood and a oven. I would still buy a Win over a GD even w/out the range hood and oven to get the better grade trailer. QUESTION: could a hood range venting outside be installed on the Micro Minnie? Thanks Buddy!
Not sure what kind of RV you're looking for in terms of layout/features but here's the first thing that came to mind: ruclips.net/video/VnIlUD0TaHk/видео.html
I wish these were not as tall - I have a 2022 and tow with a Colorado and it requires the hitch so high I can’t fully open my tailgate. I don’t understand why they can’t have the campers lower like they used to or come with an option for lifting like they used to.
RVs have gotten taller as trucks have gotten taller. The average ride-height of half-tons shapes RV design to a huge degree. A lot of clients also like a little more ground clearance for getting off the pavement Many RVs do still come with adjustable suspension for changing the ride height but the torsion system on these Winnies just doesn't do that
@@JoshtheRVNerd I can understand somewhat, but I wish they still had it as an option or something that could be reversed like they did on the 2021 and earlier ones.
It would be nice. I think the challenge is how the wheel wells jut up into the body of smaller RVs which forces them to step-up slides. Hard to put a really nice sleeper sofa or theater in a slide that's 9" elevated... then you don't have headroom to sit in the slide box. BUT.. if it could be done then I'm 100% with you here
If that were possible with the step-up slide above that wheel well used here, then it would be awesome for sure! I'd be all for it! I think you might like this one: ruclips.net/video/dtFpZk0nWug/видео.html
hate the cheap looking trim on the sofa backs. I fact I would rather see a dual recliner with a pedestal table than those cheap looking dinet seats. also this being a Winnie, you would think they would put a hood vent over the stove top, I think this is one of the worst designs I have seen from winnebago. doesn't even look like there is a fart fan in the bathroom, their designers must have come up with this layout while someone was hungover.
I own this trailer & have zero need of a range hood. There is a fan in the kitchen & in the bathroom, as well as the a/c vent fanabove your head while you stand at the stove. I have no condensation or smell problems from cooking.
All of these trailers are absolute trash. There's very little structurally that has changed in the last 25 years. I just gutted a wrecked 2022 for parts... It's a damn shame how cheap they're built.
Things like Ford rangers, and Toyota Tacoma’s are considered midsize pick ups. I’m not sure on the oven other than they must’ve felt the storage is more valuable to more people.

Man I'm sorry to hear that. Even the best of them have a bad day. I'm sorry you've been affected like this and hope you're able to get thing worked thru and enjoy some fun times this coming season
I would prefer the murphy bed. I like the shade in door. I would a side backslash bacon splash(grease). Single clean out 👍 👍 👌 🎉🎉 all over ❤ Thanks
Ty Lily!!
Sure beats a Hotel 6 room or a soggy tent for getting away. You know what the best feature is? No plaid - none. I like what Winnie is doing with these little units.
Side note: How cool would it be for Josh to do the exterior riding a hover board?
I'd break my back on one of those things
I would like the oven, hard to cook a pizza boondocking! 🍕
There are fire pit pizza oven things. I've used them a few times and was actually quite surprised. Could even make things like cookies with it!
Three cheers for the Zelda sfx on the slide space reveal!
;)
Uncle josh, I prefer with this one………
1. Murphy bed option
2. Dinette over recliners
Plus : No heater vents in the floor
Minus : No oven
TY for this! Handy to know what folks are looking for
We need more small bunkhouse campers! I have a Tacoma and a family and would like to see some more midsize towable campers.
They're hard to find with tandem axles. Most are single axle models. I'll keep getting what I can
@@JoshtheRVNerd single axles are fine with me. I’m not sure what we plan to get. Not many places local to do walk throughs so your videos help give me an idea of what I’m looking for in a camper.
T@B 400s now come with an option for bunks
Nice!! Hey Josh, what's the reason you don't give the MSRP? Just for a ballpark idea on what a unite like that runs.
Too many variables?
Too many variables and people don't understand how recently (or not) a video was posted.
I actually made a video with FAR more detail on this that I think will help folks better understand: ruclips.net/video/nhH4HDTxzFU/видео.html
We are liking the 2108ds. Would you recommend?? Are they reliable? Built well? Thanks
We wouldn't carry them if they were consistently problem children!
We have a winner, in the flex package!
Thanks,
Nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
Josh, this little rig looks great. I was wondering if Winnebago offers a non-slideout 2 person dinette version? I don't need the larger dinette and I prefer not having a slide out. Overall, I like most everything about this rig. I even like the color scheme inside. Cheers!
Look at the Micro Minnie 1708fb or 1720fb. No slide, but it is shorter and has an east/west bed.
@@chriswisner7272 Thank you. My wife and I will need a north/south bed. Late night visits to the bathroom. Cheers!
Chris beat me to it. However.. something like this may be an option for you: ruclips.net/video/QcbyTrjlxg4/видео.html
Or try the Hike models
I LOVE the blonde color wood in this camper! I think I could afford this one. How much more for the twin bed one?
Basically the same price since it’s essentially the same rv
$60k
I like this with the sofa option. Can a person put a normal queen bed in there?
I cannot recall if the slide can close with a longer bed but our team coil ups measure for you
I like this trailer a lot, I even kinda like that grey green. For what I’m wanting to do, which is more off grid dry camping, this would be perfect. That all being said I think the price on the Winnie’s is way too high, and besides a good solar package, I don’t think I need one that’s so high end. I’d like to see that apex.
They make these in their FLX edition
Here’s a sample: m.ruclips.net/video/Haa82yg0kH0/видео.html
I think this is my next trailer
We are ready when you are!
Do they have oven , small with some ability to have two morecsleep
They do not offer an oven in these. One could be added later but usually the juice isnt worth the squeeze when it comes to cost
They do have a few small bunk models though
Dear Josh, Love the Micro Minnie’s !!!
Will you please do a review on the New Micro Minnie 1720FB ?
I'll keep an eye out for one! We carry winnies at several stores and I like getting their models when I can
Color isn’t a problem, they make paint everyday!
@@JoshtheRVNerd Thank you.
Any available videos of Murphy bed
Yep m.ruclips.net/video/YJd8yKQFTLw/видео.html
I would go with the 2108DS. BTW, it there a way to put in a hood range over the stove?
I don't believe there is. It's one of the few head scratchers I have in these
I suspect you could add one after the fact.
@@JoshtheRVNerd thx
Does Winnebago make a 2108TB without a slide out, and a couch option?
They do not as it turns out
@@JoshtheRVNerd that would make a nice RV! What kinda price for a TB with a slide?
The 2108's all run about the same and slide is standard so no variance there. You can see in-stock pricing on them at www.bishs.com/rv-search?stocknumber=2108
2108DS, FBS, TB all basically the same RV with the same costs. Just a slightly different bed setup
I love Micro Minnies BUT a premium trailer without a range hood??? C'mon Winnebago bring back a oven at least as a option.
I feel like they're tapping into their class B ideas in these little micro models
I own a 2108 TB & do want for an oven occasionally. But more often, I appreciate the extra storage!
sofa and table
👍🏻
How about something , Max weight 10,000 or so, 5th wheel or tow by a 2500 HD?
Not sure what kind of RV you're looking for in terms of layout/features but here's the first thing that came to mind: ruclips.net/video/VnIlUD0TaHk/видео.html
I wish these were not as tall - I have a 2022 and tow with a Colorado and it requires the hitch so high I can’t fully open my tailgate. I don’t understand why they can’t have the campers lower like they used to or come with an option for lifting like they used to.
RVs have gotten taller as trucks have gotten taller. The average ride-height of half-tons shapes RV design to a huge degree. A lot of clients also like a little more ground clearance for getting off the pavement
Many RVs do still come with adjustable suspension for changing the ride height but the torsion system on these Winnies just doesn't do that
@@JoshtheRVNerd I can understand somewhat, but I wish they still had it as an option or something that could be reversed like they did on the 2021 and earlier ones.
Thanks for adding the interior height so I can move on right away. That ceiling will cause male pattern balding all by itself. 👍🏻
I resemble that remark
Free vest with purchase?
If that’s what it takes, then give our team a shout and let’s work it out!
If you say yes, then chances are we will too!
👍🏻
Thx for watching! :)
🇺🇸 *This one is on the short list* !! *LIKE that you have the option for a twin-bed* !! *Very nice size bath* !! #JoshTheRVNerdAtBishsRV 🇺🇸
More and more.. I'm liking the twin beds idea
More smaller RVs should offer sleeper sofas or theater seating instead of a dinette.
It would be nice. I think the challenge is how the wheel wells jut up into the body of smaller RVs which forces them to step-up slides. Hard to put a really nice sleeper sofa or theater in a slide that's 9" elevated... then you don't have headroom to sit in the slide box.
BUT.. if it could be done then I'm 100% with you here
U. Air that bed 😉
Make
I wish it was at least 8ft wide.. 7.5ft at the minimum..
They make those as well. The "Micro Minnie" is a 7ft wide body. The "Minnie"-proper is an 8ft body
@@JoshtheRVNerd I looked at those.. the smallest is 27 ft.. thats a little too long of an RV for my taste. The search continues on..
Ewwww. The cabinet doors. Other than that. Cool
$46k starting MSRP for this? Is this a joke?
Gave $29990 for my 2024 2108TB
Take away the dinette and add theater seats with cup holders and a removable table, put the TV straight across and call me in the morning.
If that were possible with the step-up slide above that wheel well used here, then it would be awesome for sure! I'd be all for it!
I think you might like this one: ruclips.net/video/dtFpZk0nWug/видео.html
Those cabinet door colors tho 🤢🤢🤢
hate the cheap looking trim on the sofa backs.
Fully agree. You can buy a cheap 18K trailer and it will have a range hood.....pay twice the price and no oven or range hood.....sad!
🤮👎
WHAT IS CONSIDERED, A MID SIZED PICKUP, WHY NO OVEN???
Things like Ford rangers, and Toyota Tacoma’s are considered midsize pick ups. I’m not sure on the oven other than they must’ve felt the storage is more valuable to more people.
