Sad the outside looks like a jail the inside is so sad to realize he lived their alone! The most sexy amazing musician alone in that big place so lonely! So sad he never found happiness only in his music! Music frees the soul!
This was his Dream place he designed himself in the 80's. He wanted to be able to do everything under one roof. Paisley park was ultra busy back in the day. Always something going on. Recording Studio, Massive Sound Stage/Concert Venue, he wanted to be able to film his movies too. They even filmed the movie "Sign O the Times" inside this building. "Due to the "original" footage that was filmed from 2 live shows, ending up with poor video and sound quality, the final cut of the film was shot entirely at Prince's Paisley Park Studios in Chanhassen, Minnesota, in his 12,500 ft. soundstage" This was designed by Prince. Even had a dance club inside. This place was where his Genius unfolded.. If those walls could talk.... He had his music Vaults, business meeting rooms. One stop shop for all things Prince.
His living quarters was cool, looked very simple and normal, but dude needed to upgrade some his rooms a little bit😁 but i guess he wasn’t there most of the time always on tour, just a place where he worked majority of the time and a place to sleep. Love and miss that creative genius💜
Actually he spent the majority of his time there. That doubled as a house and work space where he could jump up and make more music whenever he wants. I dig the fact that the rooms are dated and have atmospheres of their own. You can get a sense of history and character with the look, art work, and era he was in.
A person could get lost in that building. It is a excessive eccentric palace for his Royal Purple Majesty. This was his playground , man cave , castle , studio. Etc..etc. etc...
No Ikea..."modern furniture" and decor there. Almost like he lived in a huge basement...it's very dark..like he lived in a time warp - 70's ..80's.....the furniture, the panel ceiling, the bedding, and recording material.lots of analog equipment. But he loved his instruments though.
Penda Peacely I don't think it's all that dark there's actually sky lights in that building i can imagine how much sunshine gets in there. More and More people these days are using panel ceilings when they are finishing their basements it easy access for repairing leakage and other problems that may occur. It probably looks a lot better in person.Especially now that it has been opened as a museum.
@@ellavance5622 and I love every bit of it. He was stuck in an era of revolution and risk taking. Im glad he never updated the place. It has history and is one of a kind. If they made everything modern it would lose it's luster and 80s flavor. Going in there is like going back in time. I want to go in person. I also want to listen to all that music in there. Can you inagine was never been heard publicly
@@bg3009 Isn't that funny how two people can watch the same video and come out of it with totally different perspectives? Sometimes it's like "Did we watch the same video?" 🧐 I agree.. Im not seeing Dark either... These are all photos taken during his HOMICIDE investigation. I still can't believe they took the rug and put it back in the elevator... just moved it out from under Prince and returned it to the inside of the Elevator. Not taken for evidence and testing for the Investigation. They made so many mistakes its ridiculous. Ugg. Rest in Heaven Prince 💜💜
Maybe it was for publicity but i know a couple of years ago i saw a pic of his bedroom. It was gorgeous with deep purple bedding & pillows. Maybe it was one of his actual homes.
What a treat to be able to see Paisley Park this intimately, almost like a private tour. It gives me a little more insight into him as a person as well. I was surprised that the living quarters like his bedroom & bathroom were not updated & seemed to be stuck in the 1990s, it just looks So huge, empty & stark this cavernous bedroom. I guess he didn't care much about interior design or cared & valued having a lavish interior, I have to say I'm a little surprised. I believe this was not his original bedroom, because I have seen a picture of a bedroom they said was his a long time ago. I will eventually make a trek out there next year to check it out in Person.
I just watched a video Carver County released that showed a different bedroom that Kirk Johnson said was Prince's. It was a room off of a receiving area, and I was surprised at how cluttered thngs were - yet sparcely furnished.
ShyDebTasTic do you have the link of the video please? I would like to see it , im sure this one isnt his actual bedroom , and read about it that it was used for a day rest or naps
