Ok I feel the need to write the plot since everyone seems to be lost by it 😂 Cats is a musical with music written by Andrew Lloyd Weber, and most “lyrics” written by T.S. Elliot, even though they were just poem of different types of cats in a book call Old Possums book of practical cats. The rest of the lyrics, such as arguably the best song on broadway, Memory and Memory Reprise, were written by Tim Rice, who seems to be Andrews partner in crime. The musical/movie follows a group off cats who meet up once a year to decide which cat is to be reborn as a kitten. The opening scene describes what a “Jelicile Cat” is supposed to be which then goes into “The naming of the cats” which is a poem describing how each cat has three different names, and how they are used. After this, we start to meet the narrator of the story more, Munkustrap, who is beloved to be related to Tugger and Old Deuteronomy. Then we go into each cat telling there story. It’s starts with JennyAnyDots, who is basically the definition of a fat house cat who plays with the mice instead of eating them and Rum Tum Tugger, Who is not only Weber’s Elvis character, but all the ladies Favorite tom cat who thinks he’s above it all. Then, we get introduced to a cat named Grizabella, who was accually never written in the poems, she was a character Weber made up. Then, they do another song about Jellicles because why not? We then here about Monjojerrie and Rumpelteazer, who are two cats who just can’t stay out of trouble, Old Deuteronomy, who is the oldest and wisest of the cats, the Great Rumpuscat, Who seemed to be like a police cat, Gus, the old theater cat, Bustopher Jones, a fat fancy cat, and Shimbleshank, a railway cat. Then, we fest interrupted by Grizabella trying to make us feel sorry for her again, only to be interrupted by macavity, who likes to mess shit up and he takes Old Deuteronomy. Only them does Tugger introduce Mr. Mistoffeless, Who is a magic cat who brings back old Deuteronomy. Then here’s come Grizabella again, who sings Memory Reprise and this time it accually works and she is chosen to be reborn in the “Heaven”. Sorry this is a long one I just really love this musical and I love that Starkid did this! If I got anything wrong or forgot to add anything, tell me!

as a kid I watched the VHS of CATS so much! but then i developed a fear of cat makeup due to a cats doll with a creepy face I had (my uncle was in the Show professionally in Germany and bought it for me when i was little (we're Aussie). i have since seen 1 production of it (my cousin's in HS) and the movie. i was surprised seeing the movie how much i actually remembered.
