Where I come from, the general rule is to leave the campsite better than you found it. That includes leaving firewood for the next occupant in case they arrive too late/ tired/ cold to get fuel.
Pirates and poachers rule the waves! In my country only licensed hunters may pick up shed antlers, unauthorized collecting is illegal. You had quite an adventure. :)
That's dumb rule, not telling you to break it. The deer shed them yearly. They are pretty rare to find as there are plenty of critters to gnaw them away in the forest.
i think its a fair assumption that those who left the trash also left that firewood. I also think most people would use that firewood anyway since the camp site was deserted. Cheers Rover, nice one
"Res nullius", literally "thing belonging to no one". Something that is abandoned or doesn't clearly have an identified owner. Your taking that firewood is not stealing. You can have a peaceful conscience. Schlaf gut...
A beautiful little camp spot Nick. It's always sad to see folks use the beautiful outdoors for their private landfill. In my many years of camping, kayaking and back packing I have seen more than enough of left behind trash piles and broken glass. Those people will always exist, I'm just glad I'm not one of them. My parents back in the day would have never tolerated it at all. Did you find the deer rack on this trip ? The turkey feather is getting in some good mileage ! Stay safe ! Kenny C
As always, massive respect for setting up those "walking/sailing past" shots! This has made me want to head out and camp my local islands.

The perfect little excursion. Free firewood is such a nice perk! I really like your tent.

So you*re from Germany?

No, I am from Slovakia, living at Danube.
Looks almost the perfect camp site. Shame some people have spoil the place with their filth
Love the idea of an evening sail
Great Trip

Most likely. Based on the quantity, I think they probably expected to come back to it, but anything abandoned on public land is fair game.
@@cumberlandrover with all that litter, couldnt have happened to nicer fellows imo. good on ya

It's really sad that people are like that. I can't understand that mindset. Yes, I found the rack/skull that morning! Next video will cover the find.
