It feels like yesterday when we got Duo Chrom dominating the entire meta and precharging deadeyes like no tomorrow. Now we have Lucina doing that to, possibly, a whole TEAM, and with other stuff added in?? Oh, how simple those days were...
Ninja banners are one of the only banners I look forward to every year, and this year looks like a great lineup imo with the Awakening/Engage heroes. Kind of wish there was a 4 star focus, and about time we finally got a Lucina/Chrom duo.
I'm always excited for the ninja banners every year. It's a shame there is no 4 star focus, but the banner overall looks great since we usually get a lot of good units on it, and I really love the father and daughter duo they did for Lucina and Chrom.
Been waiting for an actual worthwhile grail investment for quite a while now. Not to say the previous grail units were bad, most are better than like 90% of 4 stars (IF they have an ok preference, otherwise it only saves you dragonflowers). It just felt like they would instantly get power crept within 3 months, or I already had a unit that was similar enough. At least Marnie stands out with an absolutely cracked weapon, so with the right skills she’ll last way longer, like 4 months 😀. Oh, and no favourites became grails either, so Marnie having that insane of a weapon was real impressive at instantly making her a merge project.

yippee, i've been waiting for your vid! gonna watch with a nice cup of tea haha, but oh gosh, i just wanted to say this. i have to admit, this banner is just a mix of emotions for me. it's really surprising to see chrom getting his THIRD duo, but i think him and lucina as a duo was to be expected for a while. one of my dream units is diamant and alcryst as a duo; i'd kill to see this duo, and this banner was the perfect opportunity. i've made so many potential unit/alt ideas, with their titles, movement/weapon types, stats, and skills, and i actually wrote down an idea for ninja duo diacryst a few months ago. it honestly hurts, as ninja dia has almost the exact skills i gave my duo diacryst idea, so it literally just feels like IS knew and is laughing at me :') in my opinion, celine is a little out of place, but then again so is diamant; one of them should have been swapped with the other's sibling (so diamant should have been alfred, or celine should have been alcryst) to fit with the family theme of this banner. i may be a little biased here as alcryst is my favourite engage character, but i genuinely believe that he should have been here with his brother. i personally don't really care for neither tharja and noire, but it's cool how the mother and daughter are here. overall, i don't mind this banner, but it'll be a skip for me, and i just hope other less-popular characters will have their chance in the future.
Not just expected, but long overdue. You'd think we'd get a Chrom/Lucina duo a long while ago, but nope, we've waited too long for this. Also, since this is Chrom's THIRD duo, it makes me worried that they're gonna start making excuses for more duos for units like Elise and Kagero since they love to ignore majority of the fates cast.
@@magicball3201 yes, and I've grown overtime to not care about those two, it's honestly getting tiresome how they keep using the same heroes over and over again when there are characters more deserving or interesting than those two
@@magicball3201 Because they're overrated and people are getting sick and tired of them, I mean they both have two duo alts and premiums, and when compared to other heroes, the best they can get is a prfless grail alt people won't use until the next shiny toy arrives. People waited so long for characters like Saizo and Effie to get some good alts after being considered some of the worse units in the game, but because characters like Elise and Kagero exist, they're not allowed any strong iteration.

I love the lineup for this year's Ninja banner. Especially Lucina and her dad here. About time these two are fighting as a duo unit. I'll try summoning on this banner but I don't know how much since I just summon up to 40 summons on Aided Dagr's banner and used my free summons to get Dagr there. I'll see what I can do here. I wish you luck on this banner.
Honestly, having no 4 star focus is always an issue with these banners, and ofc the main issue is Diamant, the male unit of the banner. Also, I wish Noire wasn't a colorless dagger since they tend to have the most problems in feh, along with staff units.

@@baxterbruce9827 with Chrom being the support of 2 duos now, any pairing is possible as long as they have a thing in common. I want more parent/child and character/same character duos. If they really want to, some have the potential to be harmonic
@@makimaki9633 One of my FEH hot takes is that EVERY Avatar character should be getting this, and heavily favored over ANY other Duo that might be an option, it's way too obvious and way more INTERESTING than what we usually get for them It will also hopefully cut down on their variants because we don't need a 17th Robin

It's really funny to me that my girl Lucina finally escaped being overshadowed by her father like her Legendary, Valentine's or Rearmed version (vs Brave Chrom) by just forcing him to come along this time 😅 Also I wish Boulder would be available for B!Dimitri in the HoF rerun but I'll just have to try and pick that up at a later date
I think people are underestimating Ninja Celine's brave +18 (+36) free true damage quite a bit. If you stack more true damage with other skills like Finish and SS4, emblem Celica or Sigurd and ploy (Exposure), it can hit really hard + special.
Always enjoy hearing your thoughts on these, and it's always very helpful being able to see your easy-to-read icons w/descriptions. I will definitely be pulling GodmodeLucina. Looking forward to your refine vid!
Ofc Diamant gets the short end of the stick, he's designed after Saizo, the ninja IS hates since they have massive favoritism for Kagero, and you already know having girls like Tharja and Lucina on the banner will give them top priority. It would've been much better if Diamant was a 4 star demote instead. Also, what the heck did they do with Noire?

I was just about to uninstall (I'm playing a couple more gachas so I needed to cut out some time) and said to myself that the ONLY thing that would stop me from uninstalling would be another banner with Awakening characters, SPECIALLY one with a Lucina alt. Lo and behold, we got *EXACTLY* that. Seems I can never get rid of this game lmfao.
I was thinking about putting FEH on the back burner right before they announced this banner. They pulled me right back in with a new Tharja and Noire alt.
I'm glad they made a new bulwark since my Alfonse is a bit outdated with regular bulwark 4 but I really like the effect on him. I also won't have to sacrifice his Arcane weapon to run LF or reopening (slaying and guaranteed follow-up have anti-synergy). Since I'd also want to run boulder on him, the only thing I'd need to figure out is how he'd get dr piercing. I could grant it as a support effect but the only unit I have with that is Halloween Askr, who has anti-synergy with the Askr trio.
Anyone else kinda numb to all the powercreep and busted units? Like, everyone is broken beyond believe, so its expected these units are too? And I don't care about anyone here, so BIG skip-
That's why I just pull for characters I like, and don't worry about Meta TOO much because if I miss out on one busted character, another one will be coming right down the pike soon enough.

I sure wasn't expecting the inevitable Lucina/Chrom Duo to be a Hoshidan Ninja alt. :P (But I'm definitely pulling for it!)
With N!Lucina, the precedent of units appearing only once in a duo is broken, as Chrom appears as the support for Lucina and for Young Robin. Yes, Sakura did break precedent before, but she broke it as a support of a duo and harmonic; chrom does it for 2 duos. Due to this, no pairing is off the table!
Is dragons roar special considered defensive or offensive? Considering putting laguz friend on seiros but she’s got built in special cooldown on her weapon refine
All of them look fun (especially would like Celine) but also something I can afford to skip, for once, as they fodder ain't that special to me. This is a blessing as my orb count... ain't all that great... AND even if I miss them now, let's be honest; they'll be back soon on Special banners and such, so in that sense as well I can afford to wait and stack up a bit for that occasion. ...And THEN I notice that new SD Detect that Lucina has, which would be exactly what my newly randomly pulled Merrin would want AND on top of that I could get the Shadow Shift on her as well... That's... like... PERFECT!! And to make matters worse... Celine comes with the new SR Tempo 4... I've been waiting that skill to come ever since the release of Rearmed Reinhardt to inherit that Tempo 4 for my Tailtiu...! And of course it just HAD TO come with a unit that I'd also like to keep, meaning I "need" at least two Celines... But aside for those two things the banner just isn't all that for me... Hhhh... Why you do this to me again, IS whyyyyyy...? Why is it that the banner won't just ever be either full treasure trove of fodder, or skip. Instead it's always the middle ground where there's some stuff I'd have use for, but also half of it not so much. ...I hate banners like these...! 😭
IS gave everything to Lucina on this banner. I love engage but feel conflicted on pulling right now. Céline and Diamant are fodder boxes and probably won't last long

Agreed, Awakening in general is usually a pass for me, it's weirdly sharing with Engage too like they don't want to give Engage its own banner without a Special Inheritance Unit (Attuned or Rearmed) How many more seasonal banners do we have that Awakening hasn't been a part of yet? I would have thought Awakening would have run out of ammo long ago so they could finally lay off a bit...
@@baxterbruce9827 and last year's ninja banner was no better with how they made it a tellius banner with some fates, and when we finally got a character who got their first alt and a character who is not even in feh to begin with, they were brushed off because "oooo, look at zelgius and sanaki, they're so cool." I mean Kagero gets 4 premiums, but Saizo gets stuck with a prfless alt.

Very happy to have a banner to skip. This you care about the meta (especially Duels), then this banner is for you. If you are a casual player, you can easily skip it.
I find it strange that this is the first banner after seasonal demotes were introduced (years ago at this point since Valentine Conrad) that we didn’t have a seasonal demote I feel like we’re gonna start oscillating between banners with demotes that have high scoring skills (ie Spring Henry with Dual Rally) and banners with no demotes at all like this one and idk how to feel about that

With N!Lucina, the precedent of units appearing only once in a duo is broken, as Chrom appears as the support for Lucina and for Young Robin. Yes, Sakura did break precedent before, but she broke it as a support of a duo and harmonic; chrom does it for 2 duos.
Due to this, no pairing is off the table!
Man, they just keep buffing brave chrom, it's insane!

You dont need to worry about your taxes. The next Chrom alt is going to have an assist which is also able to do the taxes.

Is dragons roar special considered defensive or offensive? Considering putting laguz friend on seiros but she’s got built in special cooldown on her weapon refine
It is considered an offensive special so it won't work with Laguz Friend Seiros sadly.
You'd have to run High Dragon Wall on her with Dragon's Roar.
All of them look fun (especially would like Celine) but also something I can afford to skip, for once, as they fodder ain't that special to me. This is a blessing as my orb count... ain't all that great... AND even if I miss them now, let's be honest; they'll be back soon on Special banners and such, so in that sense as well I can afford to wait and stack up a bit for that occasion.
...And THEN I notice that new SD Detect that Lucina has, which would be exactly what my newly randomly pulled Merrin would want AND on top of that I could get the Shadow Shift on her as well... That's... like... PERFECT!!
And to make matters worse... Celine comes with the new SR Tempo 4... I've been waiting that skill to come ever since the release of Rearmed Reinhardt to inherit that Tempo 4 for my Tailtiu...! And of course it just HAD TO come with a unit that I'd also like to keep, meaning I "need" at least two Celines...
But aside for those two things the banner just isn't all that for me...

Why is it that the banner won't just ever be either full treasure trove of fodder, or skip. Instead it's always the middle ground where there's some stuff I'd have use for, but also half of it not so much.

IS gave everything to Lucina on this banner. I love engage but feel conflicted on pulling right now. Céline and Diamant are fodder boxes and probably won't last long

Agreed, Awakening in general is usually a pass for me, it's weirdly sharing with Engage too like they don't want to give Engage its own banner without a Special Inheritance Unit (Attuned or Rearmed)
How many more seasonal banners do we have that Awakening hasn't been a part of yet? I would have thought Awakening would have run out of ammo long ago so they could finally lay off a bit...
same problem fates has when it comes to using characters like Camilla and even Kagero since apparently the rest of the fates heroes don't matter
@@baxterbruce9827 and last year's ninja banner was no better with how they made it a tellius banner with some fates, and when we finally got a character who got their first alt and a character who is not even in feh to begin with, they were brushed off because "oooo, look at zelgius and sanaki, they're so cool." I mean Kagero gets 4 premiums, but Saizo gets stuck with a prfless alt.

Very happy to have a banner to skip. This you care about the meta (especially Duels), then this banner is for you. If you are a casual player, you can easily skip it.
Especially since it's Awakening, you're kinda a diehard Awakening fan or sick of it at this point (And probably have been for a few years)

I find it strange that this is the first banner after seasonal demotes were introduced (years ago at this point since Valentine Conrad) that we didn’t have a seasonal demote
I feel like we’re gonna start oscillating between banners with demotes that have high scoring skills (ie Spring Henry with Dual Rally) and banners with no demotes at all like this one and idk how to feel about that
