Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo is a puzzle spin-off of Super Street Fighter II Turbo first released on the arcades in 1996, then ported to several home consoles. The game works on a mechanic of normal blocks (which can group together into power gems), crash gems (which destroy gems of the same color), and counter gems sent over from opponents that count down until they turn into normal blocks. Blocks fall in pairs and after the 25th pair a diamond gem appears which destroys all gems of the same color on the playfield.
dwangoAC (tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/d...) chooses Ryu and plays through the hardest difficulty in a mere 7 minutes and 8.15 seconds.

Omg! I loved playing this game even though I wasn’t SUPER good at it! Would go to this FANIME convention in San Jose at the San Jose convention center almost every year and every year in the Big Swap meet/Gaming room they’d have this game there as an Arcade game! Was so much fun! :)

The adventure of going to arcades with your friends, playing against someone in a specific game, then going to another arcade place, center or mini store which had other games, then to the other, like "nomads"😂, it was so fun because you also met other people, theb perhaps going all together to a pizza place or burger cart, was so fun. Then eventually whilr eating beginning to talk about a combo or so and then going back to the arcade place 😂. Yeah, videogames were duch a cool thinh at the time. Obviously I miss those times, moments and friends I met because of videogaming; most of the friends of mine got married and raised a family or only a child. 👍
