That's intersting I don't know why Skip said 2peter 3 that way. If you read the greek it does not say God gave him wisdom in 2peter3:15 it the greek says "according to the wisdom gie unto him. according to the text Peter never said that also in verse 16 "hard to understand" when you look at ancient Greek there several means the term "dysnoētos" is not a commonly used word in Ancient Greek, and there is no single agreed-upon definition or translation. However, based on its component parts, "dysnoētos" can be broken down into "dys-" meaning "bad" or "difficult," and "noētos" meaning "intelligent" or "perceptive."
In some contexts, "dysnoētos" has been translated to mean "difficult to understand" or "obscure," indicating a lack of clarity or comprehension. In other contexts, it has been translated as "unintelligent" or "foolish," indicating a lack of intellectual ability or insight.
It's important to note that the meaning of "dysnoētos" can vary depending on the context in which it is used. Very interesting that's why when it comes to verses like this I personally like to go back to 2 John 9 John says we must remain in Christ's teaching I will always will rely on the Gospels more.

I am left with so many more questions after listening to the teaching.
    1) If 2 Timothy 3:8 says “Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so do these people oppose the truth” and in verse 16 says “All Scripture is inspired by God and useful for teaching...for righteousness ”,
why then the Old Testament is opposed today by christians just as by those people at the time of the writing that Paul made to Timothy?
    2) If the “All Scripture” refers primarily to the Old Testament in verse 14-16, why then do christians say Sunday is now the new Sabbath or that they could eat pork, shrimp, lobster which were forbidden in the old testament book of Leviticus? What Scripture passage that says it will be changed in the future or has been changed in the New Testament and by whom?
    3) If the letters of Paul and other writers of the New Testament were already being considered as part of the Scripture quoting 1 Timothy 5:17 where it says “the worker is worthy of his wage” quoting Luke 10:7, then why not the reference of Enoch in Jude 1:14-15 considered as part of the current Scripture? Where is the book of Enoch at all in Scripture either old or new testament?
    4) If 1 Timothy 5:17 where it says “the worker is worthy of his wage”’in reference to Luke 10:7 to justify that new testament writers were already considering the letters of Paul and other writers or authors, as part of Scripture, doesn’t Leviticus 19:13 and and Deuteronomy 24:15 are saying the same things as Luke 10:7 is? So where is it really that in the New Testament the writers were insinuating or suggesting that their letters were Scripture or will be part of Scripture?
    5) Is 2 Peter 3:16 which Peter says of Paul “He speaks about these matters in all of his letters. Some things in them are hard to understand, which the ignorant and unstable twist (as they also do with the rest of the Scriptures)- to their own destruction”, really suggest in no uncertain terms that Paul’s letters are part of Scripture? Why would then Peter calls Paul’s ALL teachings or message as LETTERS if he is insinuating or suggesting them as Scripture? Remember, Peter says of Paul “ He speaks about THESE MATTERS in all his letters”. Does this not suggest that the “these matters” suggest Paul’s teachings or message embodied in his letters and were not considered Scripture in those times therefore, the parenthetical statement “ as they also do with the rest of the Scripture” separate and independent?
Looking at Acts 17:10-11, “As soon as it was night, the brothers sent Paul and Silas to Berea. Upon arrival, they made their way to the Jewish synagogue. Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, because they received the message with goodwill, searching the Scriptures each day to see whether these things were true...”, were the Bereans who were more noble-minded and who were searching the Scriptures, really searching from Paul’s other letters or from other new testament authors or writers? Or did the Berean believers search those Scriptures “from childhood” as alluded by Paul to Timothy in 2 Timothy 3:15-17?
    6) What does “always learning yet never able to to come to the knowledge of TRUTH” in verse 7 of 2 Timothy 3 mean?
Better yet, if Jesus says He is the Way, the TRUTH, and the life, and John says of Jesus as “the Word became flesh and tabernacled with men” in John 1:1-14, and christians claim faith and belief in Jesus as TRUTH and Word, why do christians deny Jesus, TRUTH and WORD?
What do I mean by that? It says in:
Psalms 119:142 “Your Law is TRUTH”.
Psalms 119:151 “All your Commandments are TRUTH”.
Psalms 119:160 “TRUTH is the essence of Your Word”.
Therefore, if Jesus is the TRUTH and WORD of God, why do christians disobey God’s Laws and Commandments in the Old Testament that Psalms allude to? If the Scriptures referred in 2 Timothy 3:15-16 is the Old Testament, why do christians disobey the Laws and Commandments and the Word by saying the Old Testament is old and not to be obeyed anymore or say they are for the Jews only when the New Testament as written in 2 Timothy 3 commands it to be obeyed? Do the christians therefore deny Jesus, the TRUTH and the WORD of God?
    7) So what does “always learning yet never able to come to the Knowledge of TRUTH” really about in 2 Timothy 3:7?
    8) Lastly, who are these people whom Paul said “holding to an outward form of godliness but denying its power. Avoid these people. (2 Timothy 3:5)? Who are these people that the believers should avoid?

He just drones on and on. People for the most part are undisciplined listeners. Public speaking or preaching is an art that needs to be cultivated and honed. I was waiting for him to say we're reliving what Paul wrote to Timothy...we're living in the age of narcissism and selffies, where lovers of self are everywhere. Social media is a prime example. His message might be good but his method of delivery needs work. I say these things with sincerity and sensitivity. I love God's word!
