Optimus may had murdered so many decepticons....but it was because they destroyed his home and almost everyone he knows and loves...he wants to make sure no decepticon is still alive and can find a new home for the remaining autobots, and as well as keeping peace to earth...

He also murdered a couple of humans and Harold Attinger too for hunting down and killing his Autobot friends like Ratchet and Leadfoot too.

Optimus Prime is my second favorite Autobot ever and even he continues to impress and amaze me ever since I first saw him in these wonderful movies, anyone who even thinks about going up against this commanding officer had better know their blood type because they're going to need a good amount by the time this Supreme Leader is done with them. Optimus Prime isn't just a great leader or a true friend or a legend....., like all other Autobots in existence..... HE'S MY HERO!!!!!

Bayverse Optimus gets too much flak.
He's a soldier, a veteran of countless battles and only Cybertronian. Yes he's very aggressive and in the later films isn't as merciful as the G1 Optimus, but this is what different interpretations means.
But deep down, it's still Optimus Prime. An alien hero, a fighter for freedom, a defender of the weak.
Also unlike every versions of him, Bayverse Optimus Prime isn't afraid to lie and is actually good at it to his allies and Animated Optimus Prime from Transformers Animated too since he covered for Sentinel Prime when he lost his body to the Headmaster and didn't tell Ultra Magnus the truth.
@@kirongauff4934 I've always preferred it when Optimus is less of a Goody Two Shoes and more just a Morally Lawful character. He's willing to make the hard choices and does everything he does because he thinks it's the right thing to do, but he makes mistakes like anyone else.
