put a egglands best sticker on the side. just roll that egg just like it is at least you wont have to worry about somebody denting it. some jackass ran into the back of my van put a big dent in it cause he thought the spot was empty when he went to pull in. i saw him do it but i thought he couldnt have but when i got out the store to check he sure did. i wish i would of checked right then but i just couldnt believe someone would do that on purpose like that. i dont know about newyork but people around here will tailgate the hell out of you or try to run you off the road like im not driving a real car not everybody loves tiny cars theres as much hate as there is love out there unfortunately. sorry for the long post just had to vent a bit
Go for the Minica and see what you can do to make it cool. I think I'd go for something fun and make it an homage to Tommi Makinen's EVO rally cars with some vinyl. A nice cheap rust repair video would be cool, and that's fairly easy on white paint.
Yeah, I’d be replacing that hood. Apart from that, that car looks clean. Definitely a blank slate for making it look nice. Rims, wee exhaust, mitsi/ralliart decals maybe??
agreed hood is trash. id say try ur and at hand laid vacuum molded carbon fiber but that requires cleaning up that hood alot and space. if u dont do it right the imperfections show alot.
I actually like the blue AutoZam better. I might have missed it but why a Kei car over any other JDM cars? I like the looks of them and have driven them around a few times but i would never use one as a commuter car. I live in the MD/DC/VA area and there is no way i would be driving one on 495 all the time. If i were to buy a JDM car it would have to be a Toyota Century. Gas costs and parking are not problems for me.
It’s not a kei just because of the size of the car and motor. It’s a 1.5L I believe and it’s small but still bigger than a kei car. And yeah I like it too makes more sense as a everyday car
The more I see of that Minica the more I like it. If you could source a replacement hood from Japan that would solve that problem. Looking at the underside of the hood suggests that water is pooling there, possibly between outer skin and the inner reinforcing structure. Strange that most of the car is so good, maybe the owner pressure washed it regularly. That would force water into all sorts of places. Good project car tho'.
I personally think the minica is a OK looking Kei Car but it's such a blank canvas and ONLY $3200 that it's like how can I go wrong. my only worry is the body work which can turn it into a $4500 which at that price its not worth it
@@Waybeforethefame Agreed, that is a worry and only you can make the decision to buy or not. Those doors look a bit suspect too, but for us, watching your video's, cars always look better in pictures. BTW, in my experience door's rusted out along the bottom where water laid, not above the handle. Strange.
The Minica doesn't feel special enough to risk the rust. Because we can see rust in odd places and see the 'repairs' that were poorly done, I'd be afraid of hidden pitfalls that make it an expensive car in disguise.
I'm just not feeling it. To me it just seems like a bland marshmellow. There's just nothing special about it. The price is right, but the Blue one you showed in the other video is in much better condition.
I think you should snatch that little minica up, especially if it already has a title!
That’s what I’m saying!

Dammmmm yeah NYC has pretty aggressive terrible drivers too
I think its a steal for the price.
Same

That's the plan!
Paint it all white again and slap on some cool Japanese vinyl
Yeah I would repaint it white at that body shop I went with the beat and make it look real good
ok buy it as much as a honda boi i am thats clean enough and the price is too right
Yeah, I’d be replacing that hood. Apart from that, that car looks clean.

Yeah I agree! Perfect project kei
You needed something AwD for the winter, manual transmission
snow tires and auto are perfectly fine if you know how to drive in the Northeast.
na, fwd with a lot of throttle and a lil hand brake 😂
@@Odd_Redneck Now we're just talking about making that winter fun!!
We got maybe 1 snow storm all last winter, doesn’t really snow like that anymore
Get the minica, that little car looks like a lot of fun and the minor mods you could do to it are endless‼🙃
MAYBE COMING SOON!!

My only concern is the hood
I’d go with that Progres, you get a lot more car for your money
true but kei is the way

I agree with all that but come on it’s only $3200 with title lol the blue one in the latest video is $800 more so maybe that’s the better buy

the blue one is better but its further and more expensive
That’s a 2jzge not 1jz
even better
