Lots of singers out there today that have nice voices, but their songs suck because they are over produced pitch corrected lyrically hackneyed crap with no heart or soul; they just sing to be famous and could care less about the product they put out. True singing comes from the gut the heart the soul. Lzzy's voice is amazing because you don't only hear it you feel it.
I loved how the young man reacted when the adults told him he was on the monitor. "nice, but I am trying to be respectful to the National Anthem here." I have hope for the future.

That was an awesome performance! I think the best part in the video was the focus and respect paid by the boy at 1:40 . He could've went bonkers for the camera, but you could see in his eyes the respect he has for our country and anthem. Whoever his parents are, they've done a fine job!

She started out really low. At first I thought the volume needed to be turned up. I imagine singingvthe anthem at a sporting event must be pretty nerve-wracking since so many have screwed it up like Riseanne Barr, Christina Aguilera, Fergie, etc. I'm guessing starting out is like sticking your toes in the water.

Yes, me too. I’m a HUGE Halestorm fan and I think Lzzy is one of the best singers in history, but I think maybe nerves got to her a bit. She started out too low, and there were places where she held the notes a little too long, but overall she did an amazing job. The Anthem is a VERY hard song to sing. The Dixie Chicks’ performance of the National Anthem will forever be my favorite. Their harmonies are just so utterly beautiful it’s astounding.
You could probably even hear a pin drop during LZZY singing the national anthem ! NFL PLAYERS TAKE NOTE .!! I'd love to hear LZZY, Martina McBride and Anne Wilson all do a trio of the national anthem, now that would be ffing awesome to see .Great job Lzzy !!!
