NO NO NO... not going to hit it!! Blade was one of Wesley Snipes' signature movies and to try to "reboot"... good luck with that!!! I wish the best for this young man, but I don't think I'm into it! I would have preferred Wesley Snipes because I've been waiting for him to come out with something!!!

Honestly, it's BS. Everyone else has been able to return to a role even though they're much older now. Stallone's in his 70s doing a new Rambo, Arnold's in 70s doing another Terminator. Sam Jackson & Richard Roundtree reprised their roles as Shaft for the new Shaft movie. Keanu's in his 50s doing a John Wick 3. Tom Cruise in his 50s & finished a 5th Mission: Impossible. The original Star Wars actors had returned for the new ones and Willis & Jackson reprised their roles from Unbreakable for Glass. RDJ & Jackman came back in their 50s as Iron Man & Wolverine respectively but Wesley is "too old" at 56?
Blade ages like a human so they could've easily just brought him back. His portrayal of Blade is every bit as iconic & popular as Jackman's Wolverine & RDJ's Iron Man. They didn't need to reboot it. Would anyone watch a reboot of Terminator without Arnold? Or a Rambo reboot without Stallone? Because they're too old? LOL, no, they wouldn't. I'm a big fan of Ali's but the way Marvel did this is pretty crummy. Snipes has been working to return to the role for years, he always loved playing that character. They finally announce they're bringing him into the MCU & it's another actor, who also played another character in the MCU already as Cottonmouth on Luke Cage.

Idris Elba would've been an intriguing choice for the role, especially if the reboot's depiction of the character hews closer to the comic book("cocky and boastful...very much an everyman with enhanced capacities yet still many flaws, rather than a Superman")than Goyer's vision. Marvel fans are going to buy and praise everything nowadays(DC fans dont have like...well anything besides Aquaman lmfao) even if Feige would shit into a box and would try to sell it. I like MCU and these movies but I hope capeshit fatigue will finally come in not to mention theres massive possibility its going to be PG-13 and I dont think this will work no matter how thery will try to spin it if you read at least one issue of Blade just like with Spawn or Moon Knight for example. I think it may flop by the time it will come out since they plan to release so many of these movies and Blade is coming out like 3 years from now or even more.

Mahershala is even taller than Wesley Snipes, so you're saying he's small as if he can't bulk up for the role like literally EVERY other actor does to fulfill a superhero role. Be realistic, actors change their body composition all of the time based on the films that they are preparing for. They go from skinny to bulking and vice versa within a short period of time.

I beyond positive the industry is goung to fake the movie goer numbers just to make it seem like a hit to build interest. But fact is no Wesley Snipes, no movie. This guy has zero marshall arts skills! So that will definitely lead to alot of special effects and camera tricks. Wesley was also one of the fight choreographers for that series which is why the moves were crisp and clear.
