I absolutely loved watching your WIP parade. Your pattern choices are completely up my alley. How could a stitcher not LOVE 💕 seeing so many beautiful works of our craft. I am envious that you have that many years ahead of you to co tI use to enjoy stitching on so many gorrrrrrgeous WIP’s. If not for folks like you, we would not get a chance to see projects that we have not been exposed to yet. But…once we see yours in progress, well, my oh my, we want to run out and get the very same thing! I just wish you would hold up your stitching longer when you talk. You you stitch beautifully and your color choices are phenomenal. I have stitched for over 50 years and I wish I had that many years ahead of me to stitch all of the pieces you display. Please continue sharing with all of us, just as you are, and keep giving us mini updates. I thoroughly enjoyed stitching along with you on this rainy holiday in Vermont. As far as I’m concerned, the more eye candy I can see, the better!!!! 😍
Thank you so much! What a lovely comment to see ❤️ I do usually hold up my projects longer in my “regular” videos - I try to go really fast in the WIP parades just so the videos aren’t so long!
@@kansascitygirlinacoloradow4285
You’re so welcome. I look forward to seeing your longer videos done. I’ll definitely check them out. Hopefully, you’ll get some happy stitching time this weekend! Keep up the great work!
Loved to see you WIP parade. 😍 All these beautiful projects makes me wanna buy and start all the things! 😄 Thanks for your flosstube Julie, always a joy to watch. 🤗 Kind regards, Guylaine
Hi Julie
Love WIP Parades
Your WIP Parade was such a joy to watch. I love all of your WIPS - you have such a Variety of WIPS. They are all so beautiful.
Thank You for doing this WIP Parade.
Safe Travels
Take Care & Happy Stitching
❤️🤗🧵🪡🧵❤️
Oh thank you! What a nice comment ❤️❤️❤️
Your WIP parade is ALWAYS a great to watch!! So many treasures!! I think Katie Stash Queen (you can look up her FT) was the first to do a WIP parade, but I could be wrong!! HAPPY STITCHING TODAY AND EVERYDAY IN 2023!!
I totally forgot to mention Katie! She was one of the first ones I watched!
Your WIP parades are always my favorite. 😍🤩 It helped get me through some serious pattern organization.
Just absolutely spectacular. Thank you Julie❤😍
You are so welcome! 🥰
I have one cross stitch Wip. But that is Me. I love love that you have 88 of them. Thank you for taking time to show them. I really enjoy wantching your videos. I get an inspiration from you and love to being introduce new designer to me. Thanks again.!!!!
Oh thank you! I say live and let live!
So many lovely projects. I do not envy you with your trying to decide what to bring with you next. All that fun would be hard to choose from.
Oh, wonderful, thank you Julie x
Love your progress on your wips. Happy stitching!
Loved all your WIPS, good luck on your 40 and inspired me to go through mine and make a goal
Love, love, loved your WIP Parade, thank you! The fabric you dyed for the winter lady from Cross Stitcher Magazine is absolutely magnificent! 🤩
Thank you!! I love how it turned out!
You do you. Thats what brings you joy? If 80, 100, 1000 wips is the worse you do, well then go for it! ....people, just because you can do or say something doesnt mean you should.🙄....Beautiful wips, Julie.
Thank you!!! I wonder if anyone out there actually has 1000 WIPs? 😱
Loved seeing all the WIPs. Thank you for the WIP parade. Looking forward to seeing what your plans are for your 40 finishes.
Thank you so much! I’m thinking I might need to make a special video about my 40 projects!
@@kansascitygirlinacoloradow4285 oh yes that would be awesome!
Great WIP Parade❤ you reminded me i need to pull out Nevermore again. Its such a great pattern. So much stitchy goodness, cant wait to see what else you finish this year!
You should! And I realized after that I called you by your old channel name 🤣
It was such an amazing idea of you to see who started wip parades... And of course Jessie Marie! She's so awesome. I admire the variety of wips you have. They're all so good to look at. I could watch you all day long my friend!
Thank you so much!! Jessie Marie is an OG who has done so much for our stitchy community 🥰
She is but people were doing Wip parades before then. The oldest flosstube in my feed is 2012 and during that year she did a video called All my Wips.
This was really fun to watch! You are making me think I want to do ons!
Haha! You do you! the parade. Thanks for sharing. I'm enjoying getting to know you and love your projects/tastes!!! I wanna be you when I grow up and recovery from monogamy lol - i should say semi-monogamous...shhhhhh
❤️ Hey I fully respect that some people have a panic attack if they have more than 1-2 WIPs! 🤣
Loved the parade! Thank you!
Lovely work. Please finish FLAPPER. So different from everything you see elsewhere. Love the fabric and flosses. The Zodiac piece is so awesome. The metallic border makes it. Bite the bullet... Would look so good on your wall.
Thank you!!! i do love those two so much 🤩
You are adorable, thanks
Julie! I also have 88 WIPs. I feel seen! My plan was to get to 60 by the time I turn 60 next week but that didn’t happen - but I’m down from 108! New goal 61 by 61. I love your WIP parades and the variety in your stitching and fibers. Thanks for sharing and looking forward to following your progress the rest of the year! Safe travels.
Kindred spirits!!! We had the same idea too 🤣 I knew I couldn’t get down to 40 so I decided to finish “40 while I’m 40.” 🫠 of course now I’m getting the itch to start all the things!!!
That’s always the danger. It has keep my startitis down this past year, and while I still say yes to SALs, I say no more often!
Hello - I watched you this morning and listened to what you said about the negative comments you had received, and I am sorry that has happened to you. I have 2 wips, but, you have inspired me to start more!!! I have about 100 patterns that are waiting to fulfil their destiny, so I am going to start 4 more this weekend and start a proper rotation, so thank you for inspiring me and encouraging me to stitch what I love x
I love that!!! If starting new projects brings you joy, I say go for it! If it stresses you out, then just don’t 🤣
I am impressed that you are down to 88 WIPS from 100 ! As I am a monogamous stitcher, this is still a scary amount but you do you.
At least you always have something to work on.
I definitely have something to fit every mood 🤣
Great wip parade have a wonderful weekend and happy stitching 😊🧵🪡🤗🤩
Got my popcorn
Enjoyed watching your Wipparade. Gave started the preparations for mine...might take some days before I'm ready 😅
You can do it! They are a lot of work but it’s nice having a record of everything!
Loved this!
Thank you so much for this great wip parade, I loved it.🍀🍀
A very enjoyable wip parade! Not too long, the perfect way to spend an hour and half stitching!
Utterly. Amazing. WIP Parade. ❤️❤️
I admit I clutched my imaginary fake pearls in anticipation and excitement of being able to see all 88 WIPs! Always enjoy watching your WIP Parades. So many fabulous projects!!!
Julie, I wish you could come to Memphis! I’d love to meet you and we have a lovely LYS here! We also have a g
“group”, the 901 Stitchers that meets at STITCHERS once a month!
We might make our way there eventually! Our plan now is to head north to the Great Lakes and Canada!
Fabulous WIP parade Julie. The time flew by. Great seeing all your beautiful stitching ❤️
❤️❤️❤️
Oh this was SO fun Julie! You have inspired me to get busy on some things & consider starting MANY more! Thanks for sharing friend! 🥰🧵🪡
Hi Julie. Thank you for taking the time to go to your storage unit and share your projects with us. It is so fun to see all that you are working on. 88 is an auspicious number in some Asian cultures so rock those WIPs! ❤
Thank you!!! 😍
Well, I just bought the last Wicked Christmas 123 Stitch had in stock. Thanks!
Yay! Hope you enjoy it!
Pleasure as always!!❤ Wonderful variety!! Happy Stitching 🌻🤗💖!!!
Thank you! 😊
Such beautiful projects!! ❤
That was epic and you maintained your energy the whole time! Tysm for sharing with us
You are so welcome! They are exhausting by the end of filming!!!
Love your WIP Parades😊 love long Videos too!
I love your wips. What a treat.
clutching your pearls 😂 haven’t had any shitty comments yet about my 59 WIPs but I’m sure they will filter through lol. I love the color of your nails 😍
Thank you! I only get those comments occasionally and maybe everyone has learned to play nice 🥴 You have a very respectable number of WIPs!
Wonderful WIP parade!
I do love a WIP Parade and yours was epic!!
What a treasure trove! I can’t wait to see what projects make it on the next leg of your adventure.
Yay for a WIP parade! Agreed - to each their own, right?! I love that Michelle Ink pattern- I will be on the search for that. The fabric you died for the Mother Nature Winter!!! I am obsessed! The colors just POP!
Thank you!!! The Michelle Ink pattern is totally underrated. I tried a new fabric dyeing technique on that Mother Nature Winter and I’m obsessed with how it came out! Definitely need to experiment more with that method since it produces such vibrant saturated colors
I always love your wip parades so much, so much good stitchy inspo!!
Thank you!!! I loved yours too! This and end of year is my favorite time of the year for Flosstube for all the WIP parades!
What a wonderful video of WIPS!! I now have Sleeping Beauty on my wish list. Should have bought it when I had the chance to, years ago. It's going to be stunning. What threads are you using for Reaching Skyward? I love your colors and have the pattern myself; yours in inspirational. See you next time!
So many amazing projects. And you are SO organized. Can’t wait to see which ones you choose for your 40 finishes.
Thank you so much! I could do a video of what I brought this leg of our travels and what I’m hoping to finish. 🤔
That great, I'm trying to build my WIP up!
You can do it! 🤣
Thank you so much, Julie, for a fabulous WIP Parade! You work is stunning and, yes, you are a wonderful enabler lol. Thank you for taking the time and effort to video this as it must be one helluva chore to achieve🥰
You are so welcome! ❤️
Thank you for your video. I also love a WIP parade. It's always fun to see what everyone else is stitching, and to drool a bit. You have beautiful projects! I worked on Halloween at Hawk Run Hollow while watching. I hope you get as close to 40 done as you hope for. Take care and happy stitching!
Thank you! I put all those big projects back in storage and I’m already having pangs of regret as some are really calling to me!
I loved getting to see all your WIPs! Reminded me of a few I need to finish and some I would like to start :D
This is why we all love WIP Parades!!! Inspiration to dig out old WIPs, start stash, or go shopping! 🤣
Thanks for the WIP parade. I appreciate seeing so many great projects all at once when stitchers have a large number of WIPs. Love seeing some of the projects that we both have as WIPs (I'm planning to finish Lila's Studio Nevermore this month). Great job on all the finishes so far this year!
Thank you! I didn’t even realize I had so many WIPs from Lilas Studio! She’s so great
@@kansascitygirlinacoloradow4285 She is! I finished her new Summer Quaker in June, and want to get back to my WIP of Let Freedom Ring later this year.
88 WIPS, let’s get the show on the road! I am in, have pencil and paper to make a list of patterns I don’t have that’s on your list. Love it!
I always pause and go shopping during WIP parades too 🤣
I love your WIPs, thanks a lot for the WIP parade 😍
You inspired me to start whatever I want to and climb that WIP hill 😅
Yes!!! Just maybe don’t start 50 of them in 50 days like I did in 2019 😭😭😭
@@kansascitygirlinacoloradow4285 I loved to watch that total crazyness 😍...but, I started 30 this May (all things I really love and had kitted for quite some time) and it was fun but also exhausting, cannot imagine how you managed to start 50 😱😱😱
88 WIPS! I am thrilled, let me settle all the way in....with my checkbook b/c...that is usually how your videos go for me :) Jessie Marie gave us WIP Parades and WIPGO
She is a national treasure!!!
Well I added a few things to my 123Stitch wishlist! That black and white border on that Stacy Nash Halloween piece is really pretty. I need to get back to All Souls Vierlanden and Quaker Pumpkins! I love having tons of wips, keeps the creative juices flowing and the color therapy is real! Happy stitching Julie!
Thank you!!! The All Souls Band Sampler looks to be actually finishable (IMHO) so I brought it with me. I would love to work on the big one but I don’t think I can realistically finish that this year
Absolutely enjoyed the WIP parade. It's a joy to see how your interests change over the years. There were several that I have either started or have kitted up myself.
I also had a good chuckle on your initial start of this video regarding how many WIPs and the controversies on the number. I've only been stitching for six months (got burned out knitting after 15 years--I blame the pandemic for that) and I have to catch myself from starting all the projects. I've watched quite a few flosstube videos and based on what I'm hearing, I devised a "plan" that's working for me (right now) that limits the number of WIPs I have, but it hasn't limited the number of patterns, floss and fabric to those patterns--that part has gotten out of control. Now I just browse through my kits and sigh. Ugh!
On a side note, I also enjoyed all the needle minders and how some/most were themed to the project--that was fun too. And another side note, you apparently share a birthday with my mother.
If I could do it all over again, I would not have bought and started so much stuff at the very beginning while I was still figuring out my “taste.” Of course, I still have very eclectic taste today but sometimes it’s like what was I thinking?! 🤣
Thank you for the parade and your honest reviews. I love your Alice sal but the border would have finished me off. Thanks for saving me.
You are so welcome! It looks absolutely amazing but UGH I hate working on it!!!
❤❤❤❤
I actually just did the math for me and perhaps I need to consider I actually do a lot more projects in a year than it feels like. My somewhat spotty records indicate I had 16 starts and 20 finishes in 2022. It just seems like the same projects linger indefinitely. I finished my oldest last year (2014 start) and I might finish my current oldest this year (2015 start). Both of those are larges so I’m not upset they lingered, but I’m really glad the one is finished. I’ll be really glad to finish my current oldest. My next oldest might be a 2016 start (spotty records) and it’s a small, but I’m debating holding onto it until the next oldest gets closer to a finish so my oldest isn’t a huge 2018 full coverage start. (It’s 54% complete, but keeps getting neglected due to its size, complexity and other projects needing priority.)
But this year I’ve only had 5 starts, 2 finishes (6 if one includes breaking a large project into smaller pieces) and there’s at least one more finish in sight, along with the oldest goal finish for possibly 4 (full) finishes. I’ve got smalls I could finish if I really want more finishes.
I recognize some people don’t kit up projects individually, but I like not worrying about dye lots, or being able to grab a bag and go without having to remember to borrow floss from another project. Ironically most of my projects end up using the same 50 colors regardless of what the cover photo looks like. And I’m not talking about black, white & grey. 597, 312, 3777, 154, 819 are some that are being used in 2 or more projects right now and I have notes in my projects that this color is also used by that project. But if one kits up individually, then you’re left with a bunch of partially used skeins which is also annoying to deal with afterwards.
But with your 80-100ish projects, you do get a lot of finishes, and spread the love among the starts, but the number still sounds daunting. (As I look longingly at the pile of charts I want to get to…)
I love stats like this!!! I have a ton of finishes every year but my WIPs still seem to hover around 100. That’s why I’m hyper focused on finishing so many this year! I think next year I’m going to focus on my oldest WIPs (2017) - some of which are large and will take a concentrated effort to finish but I still think they’ll all be manageable. The issue will be if I decide to keep that going and try to finish all my 2018 WIPs the next year - the WIP count starts to snowball FAST 🤣
I loved your wip!!!! So many interesting and varied patterns. Where can I find the Mermaid of Color? I love that pattern!
Thank you! It’s called Kristin the Arctic Ocean Mermaid by Meridian Designs
☮️💜
You tell ‘em! 88 is a GREAT number. Me, personally, cannot bring myself to count mine😳😳😳
That moment of reckoning 🤣🤣🤣
I did flosstube back seven years ago. We did WIP parades but we didn’t title them WIP parades. Mine is private now, but definitely way before 2017
None the less, I’ve been checking your page for a while for a current WIP parade so I’ve got my Cherry Dr Pepper and my current project and am READY for all the WIPS 🎉
I totally forgot to say that I bet there were others who have deleted their channels or set to private! And I know people were showing all those WIPs way back then 🤣 Do you know when Flosstube actually became a “thing”? 2015?
@@kansascitygirlinacoloradow4285 no idea! I honestly don’t even remember how I stumbled across it. Most of the people I watched, their channels are gone now or inactive.
@@kansascitygirlinacoloradow4285 I went and looked and the first channel I subbed to was @thelovelyarray 9 years ago 😲
Thanks so much for a great video! I think the first WIP parade I saw was by Carolyn Mazzeo in 2015
I think some of the OGs have deleted their channels and I can’t even find the videos!
I have the attic ocean mermaid kitted up! Not started yet
She’s SO BEAUTIFUL!!!
TBH I have no idea how many WIPs I have and I really don't care lol. I also like to write mine down on paper in a notebook.
I sometimes let myself lose count!!! But I rewrite my list a few times a year and have a moment of reckoning
I started Quaker Be Haunted in January, but haven't touched it since.
I havent touched it in years 🫣🫣🫣

Hi Julie, Loved your WIP parade. What was the site you used to preview fabric choices for your miras? Thanks…Lori
Hi, Lori! Sorry if I forgot to say! The website is called fabricviewer (dot com) and it is SO useful!
Thanks for the Wip parade. I had 84 wips at the beginning of the year. I'm trying to decrease that number since it was overwhelming me a bit. Where did you get your Outlander Chatelaine and is it still available? Safe travels.
I believe it is still available - Chatelaine has their own website and I bought it as a PDF file
@@kansascitygirlinacoloradow4285 Thanks I 'll take a look.
Very fun Julie! Could could please repeat where that Vierlande sampler is from? What magazine and issue?
The magazine is available digitally I believe (or it was a few years ago) and is called Sampler and Antique Quarterly Needlework (SAQN). I think I got it through the website that also sells Just Cross Stitch magazine (Annie’s Catalogue?). Unfortunately the WIP has gone back to storage so I don’t have the exact two issues available. But there were “only” four issues a year and I remember the listing previewed what was in each issue.
Thanks Julie, I will find it, it’s too good!
88 WIPs is nothing! I have a closet stacked with charts and filled baskets under my tables! In my defense, i have been stitching since the 1970s.
And I think that’s glorious and I would love to see it all 🥰
