It all boils down to corruption. Another problem is that there is no punishment for both corruption and failure in our political leadership. Zero grassroot youth development leads to failure. They are there for looting not to make Nigeria great.

Seun, thank you for this interview. However, you have allowed the Minister to escape from making any specific commitment to the Nigerian populace.on all the issues raised. For example, who in the Athletes Federation of Nigeria (AFN) was responsible for the failure of registering Favour Ofili's for her race? Secondly, why should the Minister be claiming that a Nigerian journalist was consoling Favour Ofili when she was crying? When did consoling of athletes become the responsibility of a journalist? Where was the sports psychologist at this time? Where were the members of AFN at this time? The Minister's responses are too general. This is at best, an enlightenment interview and not a solution seeking interview. We are back to square one. He is just defending his position.

Ghana and Nigeria has huge indebtedness in corruption in all aspects of sports, which the minister deny having authority over, which he financed.
The NASS need to conduct an open hearing over our abismal performance at the 2024 Olympics. This will guide us for the next edition of the Olympics.
The South Africa shall be very happy now that Nigeria could not go ahead group stage in female football event.

The current state of our sport shows clearly that the structures are compromised by the politicians, shameless, and carefree people. Anytime I looked back at great sporting men and women in times past who did serve this beloved country I shed inner tears thinking about the future. Whereas we have those legends, heros, heriones, and stars roaming the streets with nothing interesting to do having served Nigeria and the government never engaging them for expertise advice, and support knowing many of them were graduates of prestigious colleges in the USA, UK, GERMANY, etc and living in the diaspora. To be sincere, there are some parastatals or government ministries and departments that need to be shut down for the next 10 years! These are wasteful entities that look big for nothing before national and international circles. Our leaders should stop feeding us with their stories of woe about corruption. At this pont even a new born baby knows they will blame it on corruption.

Seun, sincerely you seem not to understand how this sport structure actually works. I am not absorbing the minister to be innocent of any wrong doing. Sport round the world are presently just making the nation the fund provider. I am very certain and aware of the interferance rule. If the federation reports to the sport body that the government interfare, the country gets banned 🤷🏼‍♂️
Your work will be fruitless if you don't summon the head of those federations to give there own side of the story, if they feel there are some governmental fault in their failed outing. They are not free of faults too.
The minister won't be the one to get to the field of sport himself..
Let's get more questions to be asked all round, no one to spared! Those federation are far more currupt... Example is NFF
    🇳🇬 God Bless Nigeria 🇳🇬

My favorite is Ezinne KALU- NO 23❗️. I am having a special T-shirt made honoring her.
They beat two seasoned Canadian and Australian teams. They gave our US Team a run for their money so to speak. The talent is there.
They should never give up. I was routing for both US and Nigerian woman’s basketball.
Nigerian Female Basketball team, D’Tigress should be honored for their formittable effort against teams with years of experience.

This man is not intelligent and he's a reflection of Nigerian stalemate. The money for sports goes through his office, yet he's harping his inability to have credibility at the game location. If you and your institution have done your job prior, what the other sports do at the location can't be different from what has been planned. Again, he just said Nigeria was allowed to compete in the cycling at the last minute. Hence no bicycle. What if Nigeria qualified early for the cycling, what bicycle would they have used 🤔 ??? He could not even mentioned the name of the bicycle, he speaks with the generality of a man from the street. What kind of bicycle can it be that Nigeria does not have a few in it's stock to use at the last minute 🤔??? Also, how did the cyclist prepare for the cycling event without said bicycle??? Nigeria and this man is a joke.
