"I said a 10 second car not a 10min car, you can push this car...ya or tow it" wow how i have watched that movie over 50 times literally lol, i was 15yrs old when that movie released and hit hard home with car building and street racing, to the point where my first car was a mk3 supra which was all i could afford at the time. Learned to drive stick in a supra turbo, blew the head gasket at 144k miles, ordered JDM 7m engine at the time, cleaned and prepped new engine, put in metal head gasket with ARP's head studs torque to 90lbs, turned up the boost from 8psi to about 14psi. Joined the Army at age 18. 13 yrs later here i am 31yrs old, owned numerous cool/fun cars, been in germany for 3 yrs with rhd supras, skylines, evo's, you name it. then went to the states, lived in louisiana, then texas for 6yrs, now south carolina. The original supra i owned was taken over from my best friend chris who kept in a garage all this time for me and lightly modified it. Now i am planning to ship it to SC from michigan. So much history and fun in cars that it is more then just a lifestyle lol.

I Used to have those wheels on my 97 with coilovers (in 19's) I had valve stem sealing issues and the wheels transferred a lot of vibration. Food for thought
Good luck on your build! My 94 Supra came stock came with a rubberized under-coting which prevents rust. I really dont have much of it at all except the rear hatch. Great job!

I have a RZ supra with the GTE and 6 speed. There's a few things that I'm not happy with but after seeing what u are up against I'm very happy with the condition of mine. Keep up the great work.

Nice build man, I like the 96 tail lights with a white supra. Stick with the original style supra no wide body. No matter what u do it will be badass. I am doing a 2jz frs swap right now. K1 rods, cp Pistons, billet main caps, Ati damper, ARP everything, crower 272 cams, Manley valves, Borg Warner s369 and so on lol.
Man this car deserves a good show quality resto after all the gta5 its been throw and idots trying making into a driftmissile great job man us guys who been throw resto understand u trust me ur not alone overall at the end of it, will pay off special with this car its value will never go down only up

you sir have found yourself a gold mine for youtube. If you keep it up you will gets hundreds maybe thousands of views that will fund your future projects. In my opinion, i think you shouldn't go with a riced out supra, maybe more reserved stock/muscle look that will allow you to sell it afterwards. Give it a decent life that it deserves after all it's been through. Good luck!

The underside looks pretty good, needs little to no welding. Do this car justice and do a clean original or oem+ build. Supras don't need widebody or wild bodykits, they already look agressive from the factory.

from what little I know of supras, you can get a lot of parts from the Lexus sc 300. Looks like a good start non the less. btw I like the 96 lights too

New subscriber you have really good content I'm surprised I haven't run into it and a Supra is a Supra in my eyes and this doesn't look bad after the sand blasting, and the 96 tail lights are my favorite but I agree depends on color can't wait to see the rest of the build and vids keep up the work

you could just use some phosphoric acid so that the surface rust will come off easier with sandpaper
or just sandblast it because why not?

Mr. Finger yes it will trust me, you just have to sand it when the acid turns black. I just primed and painted a hood that had surface rust .

Instead of putting na brakes on the supra, you should use ucf20 ls400 calipers, they're 4 piston and very similar to the tt supra caliper

Sandblasting made a hell of a difference! don't lose motivation
It is better to OEM it and treat it as modern classic, instead of rice-ing it. It seems 1996 style taillights are OK too.
