17:08 Mike, even if you are a young man or closer to her age, Western Culture more than likely will turn her into a feminist, a masculine woman , then when she start making money in the USA, she might feel that you’re no longer needed, so it doesn’t matter if you’re younger or older, taking her back to A Western Country will make you lose her in most cases! For her to keep her culture, her morals, her dignity and humility, it’s best to keep her in her own country where she will value you!

I met a Colombian woman 16 years ago when I was 58 and it was the best thing that ever happened to me. Moved to Colombia and am treated like royalty. @@bailey9r Compared to Chicago? San Francisco? Portland? Seattle? I feel 99% safe down here. Most locals actually watch out for me. Like anywhere, there are places you don't go but that's anywhere in the world. But the states seem to have taken crime to a whole new level. The people down here are wonderful, friendly. My Spanish is awful, waited too long in life to pick up a new language. But the people here are always willing to help me communicate,. They laugh at my attempt to speak Spanish, but not laughing at me, but out of understanding how hard it is for me to grasp. From all I have learned about the Philippines, it is probably much the same.

I have lived in Medellin for 10 years, but will move to another region of the country later this month. Medellin gets a lot of bad press but it is because of the (mostly) sex mongers or partiers who do not understand the culture. If you want to come here, you should know enough Spanish to be at least conversational (I am fluent) and come a few times to see if it is for you. Safety is a relative term. So your thoughts of it are different than everyone else. If you are coming just for the women, you will probably fail. I came for cost of living, health care, weather the scenery and how comfortable I felt here. If you can speak Spanish you will definitely stand out and if you will vet her properly, you will be like this 73 year old man and be treated great.

Hi Mike. You’re absolutely right. You’d have to go back at least 40~50+ years in N. America to find a woman with traditional values. In fact, I’ve never met a woman in Canada that would do any of those things you described that a Filipina would do for their husbands. Yes, we are the prize and are rewarded for it. This is how relationships between man and woman should be imo.

The US is the same. Women have had the message "You don't need a man" hammered in their brains for so long, that they fail to realize, that just because they don't need a man, doesn't mean they shouldn't find a good one.
Indeed, even their perception of a good man has changed so that only about .47% of men meet their standard. And typically, they have so little to offer a relationship that such a man wouldn't have a second look at her.
And this is another reason why bringing a Filipina to the west is a terrible idea. Men see a beautiful, kind, reasonable woman and the temptation often will be too much for her.

Great advise Mike. Balanced, very encouraging, honest. Cool you pointed out that age-gap is common among Philippino couples not just w a foreigner. Its cultural appreciation of the older mans stability and intelligence - a reflection of Filipina wisdom.
One thing I would like to hear more of is the distinction between income security being a foundation for a loving genuine relationship and income security being the main reason for the relationship. One is real, the other fake. We need to keep in mind to avoid the latter regardless of how young and sexy the girl is - and know how to tell the difference. You do a pretty good job of that but others just say “your money gets you the girl” not character and wisdom w security. Thanks, John.

Mike you are spot on about how the Western women will coach your Filipina when she enters the workforce in America! Filipinas have told me first hand about this and it's usually other Filipinas coaching them! They will tell her that you no longer have to cook and clean for your man and they will teach your Filipina on how to weaponize sex and if he doesn't like it, then just divorce him and take half his stuff and his house. And if they do stay together, it will likely be an unhappy marriage just like many other Western marriages.

If you haven't been to the Philippines yet and are planning to go based on things these bloggers are telling you, I'd be very careful because much of it is very exaggerated. I don't really understand why they want to do this to entice guys to go there. They exaggerate so many things. Yes many places do have senior lines for faster check-out but it is not always a big advantage, it can be sometimes but sometimes I don't bother because there are just as many seniors as in the regular lines so it's not like Mike says 15 people in the regular line and 2 in senior line, he even has to exaggerate that. They always wanted to point out the most positive result "YOU COULD" get at times while mot bothering to tell you the least result or average result. And they do this with everything they talk about. Overall the senior line will be an advantage but it won't be every time and it won't be by a large amount every time either when it is an advantage.
Mike says you will pay hundreds of dollars to get a good meal in the US, as in plural meaning at least $200 or more. Well; of course you can go to that type of restaurant if you want but I never have once nor does anyone I hang with. The people I know that do that are people with big money then that is a small drop in the bucket for them,. But again let's try to exaggerate it as much as we can to make the Philippines sound so incredible. I can get a very good meal for myself and a GIRL easily under $100 even $50 that we'd both really enjoy. The Philippines is cheaper but because it is cheaper many go to much nicer places and spend just as much as they could of spent in the US and bloggers have already talked about doing this.
I was shortly ago in Cebu, walked around a couple of malls many times and I can tell you I wasn't getting all these smiles that these guys claim you will get. In fact quite the opposite with some girls trying to avoid me. You will do better then the US of coarse you will but these guys give you a huge exaggeration of the situation. To put things in the proper perspective so you can understand the degree of exaggeration. I have every physical feature Filipina's absolutely love, I am very well-groomed which Filipina's absolutely love, I dress very well, clean and neat with designer brand names again which Filipina's really love,. I am not overweight and I have an athlete build, I have a full head of hair in my 60's and a very nice styled hair cut, if you put me next to the majority of Foreigners I'd stand out like a sore thumb. I've been around Filipina's for 40 years, I know how they think, I know the culture and even I don't get the treatment these guys are saying you will get.
I can meet girls and do better then I can in the US, I met one girl just walking down the street and starting up a conversation but It is not like that happens everyday as these guys try making it out to be. I was in a pharmacy and I ask a younger attractive Filipina where I could find the lip balm, she didn't want to talk to me but she quickly took me to the aisle and got out of there quick,. the aisle was small,. Maybe 5 or 6 feet long, people in the aisle so as I waited on one end 2 older less attractive salesladies at the other end did peep around the corner and smile at me with some pretty big smiles, notice I said older less attractive. After I paid for the lip balm and was walking to exit the pharmacy the first Filipina who was younger and attractive who showed me where the lip balm was, she was working at the end of an aisle that I was going to pass by, as she looked up and our eyes met she got out of there quick as she was clearly thinking I might try to talk with her and she didn't want any part of that. I was not trying to hook up with her but that was clearly her perception.
Now, I told you that to tell you this, there is a Filipina blogger who did a video on this very topic, so you don't need to take my word for it, she says she used to smile and say hello to Foreigners as they passed by her, but unfortunately today she no longer does this, now she looks at the ground and the reason is because all these bloggers are sending these older guys over there thinking every girl wants them, and if she smiles the guy will try to pick her up and she has had enough of it. As obviously from my experience so have many other Filipina's, that is what these bloggers have created with their exaggerated blogs. Her name is Rubeauti if you want to watch the video. Don't take my word, go watch the video. I've been going there for 40 years and I can tell you I see a huge difference in this stuff in todays world thanks to these bloggers.
I used to go to the mall and once you come a crossed as a nice guy many Filipina's will come around and want to talk with me. Even had some give me their phone number without me asking and even had one time a girl put her number in my pocket because I wasn't interested in taking it. I had salesladies tell me they are available without me asking. Today is nothing like this anymore. I saw a foreigner go up to 2 girls at the mall, he was not dressed very well, not groomed very well, did not have any of the physical features Filipina like and next thing you know he is throwing his arms up in the air as to apologize for something, not sure what happened , he could of said something very stupid, but this is what Filipina's are experiencing because of these bloggers exaggerating things out of control. I could go on and on but hopefully you get the point. Buyer beware.

I was in the Philippines in September/October of 2022. I was in Bohol/Panglao and Mindanao. I had men and women coming up to me ... waving, smiling, fist bumping, shaking my hand, etc. I was 64, a bit overweight, I have long hair, but I have a great, warm, and inviting personality. Too many people in the US don't smile unless you smile first. While not everyone in the Philippines smiled at me (many people are in their own little world ... needing to get home and make dinner, they have a date, need to tend to an ill family member, etc.), why should they. However, I smile for everyone, treat everyone with respect, I offer my seat to others, I open doors for everyone including men in their 20s and 30s ... when I do that in the US, these guys say nothing or tell me to F-off ... to which I say "you're welcome"! I'm fairly good-looking, but if you treat others with respect and lead with a smile, NO MATTER WHAT COUNTRY YOU ARE AT, you will get a smile at least 80% of the time in the Philippines. In the US, 50% if you are lucky. Most of the 50% is a female or disabled person.
I am very familiar with Rubeauti. If you watch most vloggers in the Philippines, they are honest with the real state of the country. There are videos that cover the positives and videos that cover the negatives. There are far more positives to the Philippines than negatives. If anyone watches one video and makes the decision to come to or to avoid a country, they are a fool. With this in mind, anyone looking for an alternative to their native country, they need to weigh the good and bad. They need to visit a country and expose themselves to the good and bad. There are many excellent countries as options for expats. Portugal, Spain, Eastern Europe, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, etc. Don't think that the natives in these countries are going to shower you in smiles. If you are after unprovoked smiles, your best bets are the Philippines and Thailand. While everyone needs to research, you can't listen to one or two vlogger. There are a few vloggers, especially one, that is discretely (won't expose his face and disguises his voice) that provides so much misinformation and exaggerations against the Philippines. The guy holds a grudge, and he OBVIOUSLY is racist not wanting white and black men and women in his country.
This isn't quite as long as the original post, but I tried 😂

I'm great fan of your channel and your honesty, but I've been here in Mindanao, Cebu and Panglao for the last 7 weeks, my experience has been opposite. I dated 6 girls, all have been more interested in leeching money, i don't mind spending 1.5k on meal, but when they ask 1k for transport and help fo their budget, I realise why they turned for date. Others have ghosted me ( not turned up ) or tried scam me online. Personally I have found that ' boots on the ground ' is a wake up call, and not in a good way. I'm 60, maybe too old, but I'm slim, average looking, but I think appearance doesn't have much to do with it. I think from first meeting a Filipina its necessary throw decent amount of extra money for them to think there a pot of gold for them at the end of the rainbow.

I would love to build a modern solar powered house with vegetable garden and mango trees. However it looks like that is only possible in the title name of someone local. I wonder of the legality of having a lawyer draw up a document that you lease the property for 1000 peso annually as sole occupant until you die (all upkeep and costs and modifications your right and responsibility).

Mike, your suggestion not to bring a Filipina to America is correct. Never bring one here. Brought mine here in 2016 she became corrupted, brain washed from friends and coworkers. She became a constant problem and still is. You can't believe the things she has done and become. She has waken me up several times ( five times now) in the early morning to give me 10 minutes notice she leaving for a two week vacation with her friend. Friend picks her up or she takes Uber to the airport. She goes off and leaves me and our 12 year old here alone. I become both Mon and Dad. The list just goes on and on with her. She works and has her own bank account, her wages last year were 56K USD and pays only what bills she wants to pay. She works 12 hours a day and has become a terrible mother. Only cares about her self. She will not clean or cook, She has become a nightmare. Now she wants a divorce. What goes around comes around.

It's different because for one thing the women are more traditional than western women, you make a valid point about what they are looking for, agreed, but in Asia they tend to look younger and fitter much longer than western women in my experience. Secondly, to touch on the first point the Filipinas enjoy being a women, it is pleasant to be around that. I returned to my hometown USA from the big city to take care of my mother and did so until she transcended. Any of the few women I was around and hoped to know in time I sensed they really deep down saw me as a failure and would look the other way with me. Even after my mother died a guy (I mean I'm not gay just a person who knew me in general) said with undertones... "So now you have the farm and all." ... and I said... "No. My mother always wanted to keep it a secret we never owned it. We rented it for 38 years." I said that and he was speechless. Others just avoided me, thought I was a loser or a Mother's boy. I'm 70 now and now 15 years back in the big city and not one date. Also, as far as going there is concerned... the reality is I've never been married, so from what you say won't the ladies there run the other way? Even when I was young I could never measure up, so this tropical paradise and the ladies... it all sounds like heaven!
Really though too much like the ladies there seek the material and not the real person. At least I could date someone there where here they just see me as a low income nobody who rides his bicycle. I commute by bike and on the street found a gift card to a nice restaurant. So I asked three women if they wanted to go out to dinner, women that have known me in my Senior building for years and virtually every single one without hesitation said no. Over the years in the same building I was always polite to them. I have thank you cards on my walls as positive affirmations... people in my building, including two cards from different building managers... all thanking me for my random acts of kindness. I get $1,221 a month, live in low income Senior housing with some coming from problematic pasts and bring their problems with them... Can I live modestly there on that? Are the medical facilities descent? How much is a plane ticket to get there from the States?

The toughest thing for men to do is adjust their mentality to being the "catch of thr day". Honestly, in Southeast Asia you're the catch of a lifetime. Act accordingly gents. Be paticular.

Hi Mike. I have a question. I am a retired 74 year old , never drrink ,don't smoke, or gamble. In good shape lift weights 6 days a week ,so muscular, but not overly. The thing is i do not want to move to the Philippinnes, because i have two daughters ,and grand kids here, and don't want to miss out on that. I could probably go for the winter months. Been to the Philippines 4 times before, and love it there. A Philipina probably would not go for me being gone for six months right? Another thing is i am not after a young woman. I would choose one if i could find her no lesss than 45 years old Up to say 60 as long as she is what i want. I think i would be open to get married, but very carefully to choose the right one. I live i Canada and there is almost no tradisional woman left lol. Have a good pension and a nice apt. but miss the companionship of a woman..... Any ideas would be most welcomed.................A friend from Canada.

From what I've observed, it seems because Filipinas haven't had everything handed to them on a silver platter since they were able to crawl, like many Western women, they (Filipinas) have an inherent high appreciation for what's afforded them, including good Western men and what they bring to the table.

You gotta go for it…all in, Barry. Just do it. You won’t regret it.

Mike, you can succeed with a younger woman in the US too, but as you say, and I agree with you, you have to be a good provider. Making her work will be the beginning of the end of your marriage. It's just the way it is. Then again, it's pretty much the same with our women, too. If you provide a very good life for her, she will think twice before she strays and/or leaves you. Women, in general, love to be financially stable and tend to behave much better when they know that they will lose much more than just a husband if or when they stray.

Mike, some other RUclips channels have been saying that things have changed for the foreigners( like since back in 2015 vs. present) that the foreigners are no longer hot commodity/prize especially in the big cities such as Manila and other big cities. There are so many foreigners that we are not so special anymore and being a foreigner is normal and lost its wow factor. The best bet is to go to much less crowded cities/islands/province. What is your take on this? Thanks!

Been with my Filipina for 6 years now. In my case, I've never been treated so well and feel awesome. American woman look at men in America as nothing more than a walking talking paycheck. Getting married this year.

What you said is all too true...What do you think about expat that go there that are Black and other ethnicity? Are there Filipinas, that accept and respect those that have no religion or belief, due to them being religious and Catholic? Good Video and tons of information. Peace

Hot commodity should not be confused with a “hot wallet” 💰
