I don't believe God told your husband to leave you. I think he was probably self deceived or worse. Even if YOU broke the marriage bow by leaving him in the marriage for another man, I would find it hard to believe the Lord told him to leave you. Everything I see is along the tone of "As much as it depends on YOU, forgive and live on in peace." Now I can see him saying he cannot take it anymore. But that is not the command of the Lord to leave. That is the demand of the Lord that you all needed to sink your roots DEEPER still into Jesus Christ. But now that it is done the blood of Christ cleanses us and puts us at peace with God and peace in out own conscience.

I’m only point this out bc he mentioned that adultery breaks the covenant of marriage, but no it does not; death does. “The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth; but if her husband be dead, she is at liberty to be married to whom she will; only in the Lord.” - 1 Corinthians 7:39 “For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband. So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from the law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man.” - Romans 7:2-3 We cannot afford to perpetuate misinformation and lies pertaining to the covenant of marriage, especially during these last days. We only get one spouse, so long as we live. If a remarriage occurs whilst your covenant partner lives i.e. you are married and take another whilst your covenant spouse lives this is adultery in God's eyes. You can marry in the Lord when your covenant spouse dies otherwise you stay apart or reconcile. God's ways and thoughts are different to the world.
I question this just like you. I found a video of him speaking about this. He said God told him and showed him that he was to marry Ruth (a divorcee). He admitted to having strong opinions on divorce. He questioned Ruth about her marriage and divorce then said he came to realise that she was the innocent party so it was ok to marry plus God continually showed him she was to be his wife. It’s very confusing because I see that the Bible says we are bound unless your spouse is dead then we are free to remarry only in the Lord. I often wonder if it was Satan who deceived him so he’d end up in hell. Or it may be that God really does allow the innocent party to remarry. The problem with that is that we could still end up remarrying countless partners since many spouses fall into adultery or walk away. I’m very confused about this subject.
@@LizaLavolta Sadly the Bible doesn’t say she was divorced. She may have been widowed 5 times and living with the 6th guy but not actually married to him. We just can’t know for sure. Mary and Joseph called each other husband and wife during their betrothal which was normal back then. Joseph thought Mary had fornicated (which is the exception clause) so he had the right to put her away as fornication is sex between the unmarried. Adultery is a married person having sex with someone not their spouse. Unfortunately new translations like NLT, NIV use sexual immorality as the exception. If already married Jesus said we are in a one flesh covenant till death and remarriage while first spouse living is adultery and marrying divorced person is adultery. Then Paul says if to remain single or reconcile. Nowhere is remarriage mentioned except after death. I’ve tried to find the loophole but can’t.

I got married to a Christian many years ago, worst mistake I have ever made in my early years and I never remarried again because men do not treat women fairly and with a kind heart. As for my own experience with them they are unkind and way too controlling of your every move. Although I am cut off, at least I have more liberty to do as I please and not have to worry about a man abusing my life because I am not meeting up to his expectations.

For anyone reading this, Derek Prince is not saying that fornication is not a serious sin. No. He is saying that adultery has much greater consequences than fornication. When you read Proverbs 6: 32-33 you see that, unlike fornication, anyone who commits adultery will never have his disgrace wiped away completely. We even see this in the case of King David and Bathsheba... Again, this is because, in the case of adultery, a covenant (a vow, a solemn promise) was first made before God. Unlike fornication. Therefore, to anyone reading this who might have committed adultery and now feel bad about what they did.. just know that our God forgives. Derek Prince said that fornication is a sin and then he said that not only is adultery a sexual sin but it's got the added elements of breaking a Covenant. Cheating in general is painful. I’ve been cheated on at least 3 times and it really messes a person up. I thought maybe I’ve dealt with all of that and some of the mental abuse I put up with in my 20’s but last night I felt it coming back. No wonder I have a hard time succeeding in life. Maybe I shouldn’t have dealt with someone who called me “not that bright” on many occasions and I still have not gotten that apology from that person. It’s sad.

Therefore, to anyone reading this who might have committed adultery and now feel bad about what they did.. just know that our God forgives. Give your life to Him completely (even the areas of your life that you are too embarrassed for people to know about) and He will help to turn your life around in ways unimaginable just now and all for the better. Derek Prince said that fornication is a sin and then he said that not only is adultery a sexual sin but it's got the added elements of breaking a Covenant. Meaning, you made an official vow to another person with God as a witness. So, if you commit adultery you have broken a promise to your spouse and to God.
@classyt20f7 continually Pray to God... The enemy will try everything everyday to put you down.... U need God's strength to lean on because it's not easy fr us to be alone in our own strength.... I go through the same thing...i know what u feel...its not east at all, I know....u may have evil strongholds in your life....Cry out to God... Pray with all sincerity... If u can reach out to anyone with ur problem.. Please do.. Do talk to someone who you many know is trustworthy, spiritual and has a relationship with God... Have them Pray over u also.... Stand strong and don't lose faith in God... He is a faithful God and also mighty to save u from anything... The enemy will make u feel like your alone in this and make u want to give up.... Dont believe his lies.. Your God's beautiful child... It's only a season in your life... ..Remember your faithful Father and how mighty and strong he is... How he has done the impossible in different instances in the Bible as well as otherwise....

Cheating in general is painful. I’ve been cheated on at least 3 times and it really messes a person up. I thought maybe I’ve dealt with all of that and some of the mental abuse I put up with in my 20’s but last night I felt it coming back. No wonder I have a hard time succeeding in life. Maybe I shouldn’t have dealt with someone who called me “not that bright” on many occasions and I still have not gotten that apology from that person. It’s sad.
