She run about 70m before the actual race. This was a problem for her. She had to relax and run again after a few minutes. However if you see the other girl that run about the same did not have a problem to finish in a good position. Anyway good luck in the next race...
@Maynard Runkle I'm seeing that happen way, way too much in Euro. events. The call is delayed. Theses guys wouldn't be called back to call a HS event in the USA. You can't pause the call and NOT have the runners bolt. o;r go "Usain". !!!

It's regrettable to see how amateurishly the race was managed! Clearly, more than two runners moved and yet, none was disqualified! The race was not stopped when it should have been: One contestant was about reaching the end when signaled to stop! The other regrettable thing is the high number of comments that are concerned with anything but the competition itself particularly the winner's time that was way below par!
Yeah false stars can take sap your energy for the race. Something similar happened to me in swimming. We started over and my time was substantially slower.
So sorry to know it happened to you too. Don't you think it a great blessing to always be competing against real professionals who are able to control their nerves too?
Ewa lacked the longer strides that the French and GBR runner had, hence her falling into 3rd place. Ewa was first out of the blocks and was already at full stride and speed at about 25-30 meters. But the longer strides of the the two other runners allowed them to reel in Ewa. In the 60m, Ewa is pretty much unstoppable. I still like Ewa, beauty and grace!
it's unfortunate she's turned into a 60m specialist. A good coach could help her transition into being a better 100m runner. Like you said, she needs to work on her stridage. For her to fix that, she'll have to start understanding that her posture has to change, and she has to get her knees up higher when she runs longer longer distances. But she's still young though. Probably can't afford a higher-end coach right now.
