In testing before the event they did multiple 2700hp runs. The reason it blew up was because it was a backup motor they had never ran nitrous through and it just couldn't handle it.
Luv You guys but if the Promoters/Event organizer's don't start mandating engine blankets for safety they're doomed ! This explosion this year was the worse by far and easily could've killed or maimed adults or children in a heartbeat. Why do you think NHRA and others use them and they don't run as much Pressure ? Is it worth killing the entire sport over, nope. Like I said luv your guys stuff but someone needs to take control asap 😉. Cheers to yall

Most have 3.73 gears with 35" tires because that's the gear ratio needed for racing/dyno and this year the track was too tight to blaze the tires.

What happened to the truck in the sled pull, sounded like it cut out right before the end killing the run
It pulled it down to 2800rpm and snuffed the Turbo, the 3.73 gear ratio with 35" tires was too much for the tight track

I agree, we (Firepunk) are not in charge of UCC (we ran ODR) but in ucc rules it says engine cables are required. They just need to enforce it.
