I enjoy the Channel's coverage because there's no way I could get to any of these venues to see the action in person. I found the audio a bit indistinct on this stream, but I appreciate that 'stuff happens' when you're working live. I think it would help people new to hillclimbing if you were able to edit in a brief outline of each course at the start of these longer videos. (I don't know Doune at all, but it looks like one heck of a challenge!) Many people in the United States who love their motorsport have no time for anything but the [excellent] Pikes Peak event, and often have no idea that UK-style hillclimbing even exists. So... a bit of background at the beginning of coverage like this might help keep casual viewers watching long enough to register with RUclips's analytical algorithms and help the Channel grow. I don't mean a complete in-depth analysis of every corner of every course, just a sketch of what to look out for as a spectator - adverse camber sections, wet patches under trees, blind brows, tight turns, and the overall height of the climb. You know the kind of thing. A rundown of the various classes of cars would be helpful, too. Note: I'm not actually a hillclimber, just a petrolhead trying to make the most of real motorsport before the authorities ban everything non-electric. I used to be a rally driver of sorts (only amateur) back in the Group-B era - I drove mainly in England and Wales, but also once in Finland and did quite a bit of rallying when I lived in Kenya for several years, including finishing the old-school (5-day) Safari Rally twice. In summary: more hillclimbing, please! 🙂
Thank you for taking the time to comment @EleanorPeterson. The feedback is very welcome and useful. The commentator at Doune doesn't have a great location to work from and is sat near the noisy start line. I was aware it didn't sound great and will be working on making that better when we return there next month. I definitely want to include more content to the streams rather than just the on track action. Like you say, a track guide, a class guide, an overview of the structure of an event, etc. would all help flesh out the coverage and make it more approachable for new viewers. I just need to find the time to get them produced. Thank you again and I hope you continue to enjoy the coverage 👍
Great coverage... Keeps getting better and better. Keep up the good work!
Thank you Dave. Glad you enjoyed it and hopefully we can keep making it better.

Is there a livestream from Doune this weekend (Sept 14th)?
