I'm single at almost 62 and have been for 18 yrs. I tried to date a few times and all I asked for was respect and treat me like a lady not a ho and they couldn't even do that so I decided I was happier this way. So my motto is I'd rather be single and happy, than with someone just to be with someone to be miserable and unhappy.
I totally agree! I'm not going to settle for someone who lies or is rude. I'll stay single unless God sends a respectful guy my way.
@@travelsnacks That's how I felt as well. If there is suppose to be another man in my life then I left it up to God to bring him to me. However, I also have told God no matter who it would be I was never going to get married or at least in what the world looks at as marriage a judge/preacher and a piece of paper. They didn't need all that back in the day before Jesus or afterwards. This was a man made idea they saw to capitalize on people.

You got it all right! After.my last divorce(over 10 yrs ago), I was done..just done. Didnt want anything to do with men. Because now its my time. My time to explore myself and do things I wanted to do. And then out of the blue, I became disabled.No man wants someone who has limit. But...one thing isbfor sure, I'm tired.Soooooo tired.
I feel ya on being tiiiiired! But don't give up. Disabled or not, there are many great people out there that just want to love and be loved.

Same here. Middle aged disabled woman. I’m not even gonna waste my time and energy when those in my age bracket who aren’t disabled are having it rough. IF God has someone for me, He knows where I am (not to sound off-key but it’s true.) I’m not holding my breath. Who wants this middle aged disabled and now chunky lady. 😂 sigh.

Being widowed, Twice, I thought to myself, why would I want to go through that/ this again? After I turned 55 , around the passing of my second wife, can love be so important in my life that it nearly destroyed what left of my thoughts and well being? No, it's not that important to risk, again. Being single has many new concepts and ideas, it's a combination of the beginning of one thing and the start of the ending. Either way there's me and that's all that's left. So , I tell myself every day, "It's going to be great".

I think a problem for me is fear of relationships after being single for so long they just sound icky 🥴 I love peace, solitude, and space so having someone's breath in my space doesn't sound the most appealing. However, i do think if you were to find someone you truly LIKE and truly love you could perhaps have more patience for their breath and if they have sense they prob won't keep stank breath.
I feel that in the same way God brings us to various places and has us meet various people, He can also bring the right person along our path if we ask. Not sure how that all works cuz at one point years ago i wanted marriage more than anything but now, in this day and age, in the skreets, it sounds like a gigantor headache and some many people are unhinged and cray cray it just sounds more peaceful to enjoy the Lord and your own company. I do pray for you, that since you desire companionship, that the Lord would bring someone into your life who will love you well and provide a great friendship through relationship ❤

I'm honestly looking to date again for 2 reasons. One I get lonely (I haven't dated in 10 years) and it's getting expensive for a single person (divorced) to live on my own. That is why I'm looking at van life not as a decission but a possible necssity in a couple of years. I'm 52 now and I know I only have 2 years left before I need to find another place. Rent has gone up so much since then. I was done with relationships and my failed marriage. I have a soon to be 16 year old but he is old enough not to need his dad around all the time. As much as I've checked the apps they scare the hell out of me.
I've been widow now for over 20 yrs. Still have not had a date, let alone going out to din Dutch. I'm content, I go out by myself not a care, go to movies, and travel with friend or alone. I'm 80 and still going. Yes once in awhile I get a little lonely, but I git a cat.

We know what we want/don’t want and it seems Pickens are SLIM! Finding a true Believer in this day and age is like trying to win the lottery. God knows our hearts and desires. Hi Allison. As a rule, if they dont mention their relationship with Lord in the first 30 minutes of their conversation with you, move on, immediately. You'll save yourself alot of time, days, month etc. They aren't dating intentionally if that makes any sense. God bless yoy girl.

Single at 55 for 3+ years and working on building my own best life - and figure I'll meet people to date while just doing my thing when the timing is right. I have zero interest in the dating app game. Maybe it will be someone at an event or the park or church or my favorite grocery store... Ya never know so stay strong and be part of your local community - maybe he's out there 😊

For whatever reason, women today do not take any interest in me and I have been told that I'm not that unpleasing to look at 😂 personally I blame social media and dating apps, I think they are the devil lol. This is on women who "give it away" too easily. If they stopped doing that it would force men to put in more effort. Women really do have the control. Why should men make any effort to be any better if the women don't respect themselves and demand a commitment before just jumping in the sack? Gosh in the old days sometimes a man date a woman for a year or more and then not even have sex until after marriage. Imagine that.
I stopped dating. I just couldn't do it. I am also not the type of girl that guys are attracted to and it was just too disappointed. I am much happier without the anticipation and disappointment.

I live in a college town. And one of my favorite things to see is love Bloom in the spring. All shapes sizes diversity somebody finds somebody. It allows hope to spring eternal. I do think the dating apps are rigged against us. So we have to find other ways to meet each other. I am 62 and single interested? Lol

The apps are a complete waste of time and money, I’ve given up on them. If I meet someone it will be in real life. I think mature people are older and wiser and not so driven by hormones so everyone has a very long list of red flags and are less likely to settle on someone

It sucks out there. I've only had one girlfriend for 4 years. 10 years single, now 41. All I ever wanted was genuine love and a little romance. But that's not a thing anymore, so why bother. There's a narcissistic spirit out there and I want no part of it. The potential of "love" is not worth bringing hell into my life. So I guess I'll live like the apostle Paul. It's lonely sure. Extremely. But what can ya do? Everyone's trying to one up the next person. Grasping at some kind of control over the other person. Too many mind games and delusions. Utter selfishness and no love for anyone including one's self. Good is bad and bad is good. Everything is flipping on it's head. Just as the Good Book said it would. I'm making moves to step out of society. Buy a cheap piece of land and bushcraft shelter the rest of my life, just waiting for the day i'm truly free.
Yes, your exactly right. Although, I've been reading other comments on a different channel,I won't mention here but if you want to know just let me know. Anyway, a few of the comments by men on that channel, are saying there's huge problems with dating in the United States. And some other guys are finding what they want with overseas or different women from other countries , not just limited to the American dating disaster. One of the main issues is that, when you get into middle age and beyond, it becomes extremely difficult for both parties to assimilate their entire lives and existence to each another. It is so much easier to "start from scratch", grow up together, never divorce, etc. Also, as a Christian, never married man, I would be hesitant to date a divorced woman. Marriage is a lifetime bond before God, with very limited reasons for allowable divorce.
