Dims= 3 inchs tall 2 inchs long. Doesn’t work very well, but it is a damn cool conversation piece. Thank for watching ya goons. #rocketstove#chasefabbed
Nice work! You just have to remember the basic concept of a rocket stove is your riser needs to be at least three times the size of your (runner) burn tube. You are creating a vacuum so when you start making them smaller (as I have done) you usually need to increase the riser length up to 5 times of the runner tube. Example: 3" runner / 9" (minimum) to 15" (maximum) riser. It takes a lot of tinkering to fine tune them, but, it is fun all the same! It looks awesome, though!!! Remember: Have fun!!! Mistakes are the model of invention!!!
To be totally honest I just built this with no prior knowledge of rocket stoves. I only went off of the basic shape and design. Now that you gave me the formula I want to build another. My ratios obviously are off. I noticed right away air wasn't flowing correctly, fuel was also an issue. Thanks for the comment!
As far as your fuel is concerned: When you operate a normal-sized rocket stove you start off with twigs and move your way up to bigger pieces of wood. With the small ones I start them with a small portion of lint I collect from my clothes dryer and a match. You can add a slight touch of Vaseline to extend the burn time, but I usually don't for my small ones simply because your tender is significantly smaller and lights quickly anyway. I don't compress the wad of lint, either. Keep it loose and airy. The lint lights easily and burns hot. I use pine needles as my starter fuel but you can use the smaller sized twigs about 1/16th to 1/8th inch in dia. if pine needles are not an option for you. Once you get a bed of hot, roasty-toasty coals going the rocket stove really starts singing! Regular-sized twigs (up to 1/4" dia.) will be your end-use fuel. But, as always, experimentation and imagination will get you the farthest! Good luck and happy tinkering! Can't wait to see Mini Rocket Stove V2!!!

@@stephenirish2727 you answered my questions for my mini rocket for the greenhouse this winter. Will try again with some pellets also. Cheers
thoroughly enjoyed this video. good fab work too!
Cool lol
Mine kept getting clogged with smoke and just stopped. Also a small one. No longer than the forearm.
LMAO...cool!
I know it's a little one.... But what is the purpose to the big size rocket stoves??
