Great review Im with you on the Russian and European pieces the nice thing for us that really are crazy about the units I do think HBG plans on ramping out their 3d expansion lines for us…but yeah I get that having it straight out of the box would have been cool
Also Id be down for a how to play series you did save my game by reminding me of the trapped American units in the Red Sea 🙂 also if you end up painting these units up I really wanna see that too
Interesting. Do note that the Caliphate pieces are not painted. They are just printed in black plastic like the 3d printed German pieces. From what I head, that was the reasoning behind only giving the Caliphate their own pieces, as HBG only prints in black and grey right now.
Ah, well they definitely did a good job with them, the quality is immense, without a close eye, they almost look like injection molding. I'll have to leave a correction in the description
@@CBs_Bill_from_Montana I have played a few games now and it is much more streamlined and faster play the GW 36. I also like the modern feel. I wish GW didn’t take 3 days to play and had so many rules. Hopefully V4 cuts down on the units and really sets the start date to ‘39.
@@adalwolf8006 I like playing V3 36 more than V3 39 but I absolutely agree it should be streamlined. Maybe have a simple version and a version like they have now. Cut the pieces and rules in half for the simple version. Then again I’ve played V3 about 10 hours a week for 6 months. I’ll buy GW 2025 after we get burnt out on V3 for sure now.
How many tanks do you get I wanted to order with artillery from the site I'm planning to have artillery as universal and attached to any territory with infantry
@@CobraWargaming thank you so much for replying this will really help decide what to order as it costs alot to ship to uk so hoping to get it all in one go lol
@@boomtaylor8297 Your welcome, the only additions I would suggest for this game would be chips for counting stacks of units (if you dont already have them) and possibly some more Russian, Chinese, and Caliphate roundels. Sometimes they can go on the warpath and you may find yourself running out.
@@CobraWargaming thanks appreciate the advice this is my first global war game the other game I have is axis and allies battle of the bulge. I see what you mean about the chips so I will have to buy those it's hard to keep an eye out for other things I might need like dice, chips and neutral components before ordering.
@@boomtaylor8297 Yeah, dice were something I also forgot to mention, about 6 D12's would suffice. For neutrals HBG does have a Neutrals pack in their Global 2025 section that has all the white units you'll need to setup.
Pretty good job doing a breakdown of the various game components.

Just found your channel. New subscriber here. Looking into getting this game. Definitely will be watching your videos! Thanks.

Great review Cobra! What would you say is the average total playing time? Thx!

Also, Israel currently borders the Red sea. :) The port at Eilat is of huge strategic importance.
@@Trigm I learn something new every day! I've gotta read up on my modern geography
I just need this game to be back in stock and a bank loan to buy it
I really want to get it!
Yeah would love a dedicated set of Russian unit sculpts. HBG should make a set - they’ll sell.
How fun is this compared to Global War 36? Is the rule book better than Amerika or Global War 36? We’re going to get but probably not until next year.
I haven't tried it yet, but it's much more streamlined than G36 and even Amerika, I'll probably give some thoughts after my first couple games
I think it’s better than Global War 36.
@@adalwolf8006 you’ve played 2025 enough to already know it’s better than 36? Impressive, most impressive.

There's a about 10-15 takes per faction and the Caliphate gets around 4 tanks

If you buy the game do you then get those extra peices or was that just an extra thing for you?
Youll get those extra pieces when you buy the game, they were thrown into all copy's to make sure nobody runs out
@@CobraWargaming that is so cool! I saw alot of youtubers being very suprised that there where extra peices but thanks for letting me know!
How many pieces of each type and color are included in the game?
Cuba had no army or i
Start as Russia control. Why, what is the lore? :p.
I know, it's quite strange I'll be addressing that in a future modification I'll be doing a video on
Awesome game but it cost 279 dollars!?!?!
