    5.0 out of 5 stars A good read. Well done Dave

    This is a well put together story. Lots of seemingly unconnected plot lines all come together in a very satisfying conclusion.
    5.0 out of 5 stars A real page-turner

    With this ingenious basis for a mystery story, D K Dickens has has come up with a plot that will keep you riveted till the last page. Unputdownable.
    RUclips comment: I've read it and really enjoyed it, a real page-turner. It's got everything, romance, gangsters, nasty big Corp, suspense all wrapped up in a great plot. You might know that a musician and guitar maker would also make a great author. Well done!

    Great stuff as always Dave
    My friend who is a cabin maker said that they slightly undercut inlays to make fitting easier, very difficult with the tiny pieces that you are using though! Love watching your videos

    As always a fun watch, Dave. I’m particularly curious to see how those scrapers operate!

    Over the past couple of years I have been 3D printing models so I know how it is to not have steady hands, especially when it comes to painting very fine details - yet, we keep moving on, regardless! Thanks for sharing, Dave!

    IMO you should have the neck end block glued to the top. If you watch guitar repair videos that's a weak spot which often causes trouble. BITD, I had an electro-acoustic mandolin where they'd cut the hole in the top for the pu at the end of the fingerboard and that started to collapse after a few years. If you'd offset the dolphin cut outs you could have put a straight bar between the end blocks (not touching the top or the back, like a banjo strut). Much stronger than the curved ones you're making.

      Very good points as always, I'm still convinced the two supports will give it enough strength, we will find out. Cheers Dave

    Hi Dave great video , but are u not worried that guitar will fold in on it's self with no support on the top and back ,I know ur putting nylon strings but I would think u need a little support,, but I could definitely be wrong ,, but keep up the great work and very creative ideas

    Hi Dave, amazing ideas you have. Just a thought, if you put a dab of superglue on the bottom off the inlays leaving them a bit proud, then sanded, would the inlays dust fill the voids? Then drop more superglue to hold it all in place?

    • @DaveDickens
      @DaveDickens  4 дня назад

      Clever idea, I did put some more superglue on after sanding a few but your idea would have worked much better. Cheers Dave

    Hi Dave - all progressing well. Personally I doubt if I'd have had the patience to do such small inlays for the droplets, and would have substituted some form of powder/glitter for the infill?

      @DaveDickens  9 дней назад

      I tried powdering the shells but it just didn't ;look as good. Cheers Dave

      @@DaveDickens Yes, I can understand that , which is why I mentioned glitter - but probably over the top! I have a dream of owning a guitar with a really big metal flake finish ( sad I know).
