- AHHHHH! After three years, the first map I’ve ever hosted is finally finished! I couldn’t be more happy that this is complete, and I thank all of the incredibly talented artist that contributed to this map!!
This map is about Dune, Kestrel and Glory, showing their hardest and best moments in life, realizing they aren’t all that different from each other. In the end, Dune and Kestrel’s spirit visits Glory in her sleep, and she accepts their apology, understanding their pain that they went through in their past.

1:59 I love how Starflight just sat there and took Tsunami's tackle without any resistance. Guess it happens quite often.
Kestrel just wanted to be a mother.
Dune just wanted to be a hero.
Glory just wanted them off her back.
Usually I write something really sentimental that makes people cry through and through, but this was just too funny to pass up lolz
in an odd way all three got what they wanted. Kestrel was a mother to the dragonets of destiny, and instilled a lot of resistance in all of them. Dune did not give up he fought to protect them till the very end and Glory her achievements need no explanation
I think Kestrel and Dune would be both impressed and proud of Glory.
Kestrel would of been amazed to see Glory not only rally the “Damn Lazy Rain Wings”, but also become the Queen of both the Rain AND Night Wings.
Kestrels killer instincts, and Dunes intelligence probably rubbed off on her as a hatchling.
All the animators did amazing!!! This map turned out incredible!!
I am SO PROUD to be part of this MAP, and see it done after years! Everyone did so great and I am happy to have contributed with a part and the thumbnail

I legit almost cried. This made me rethink the relationships with Dune, Kestrel, and Glory, which I wouldn't have thought about on my own.

Its really been a while since a map i participated in got actually completed, so that adds up for the excitement.
Everyone did an absolute incredible job on their parts and its a huge pleasure to watch it all together!

YOOOOOOOOO! THIS MAP IS AMAZING! ALL THE ANIMATORS MADE SUCH A SPECTACULAR PART! You're maps are legendary and watching the first one you've ever hosted is awesome!!
This MAP is really beautiful, everyone did such an amazing job!
It even get pretty well Dune and Kestrel and she is, objectively speaking, one of the best written characters in the books, with her tragic past and what it can leave of who suffers while NOT excusing her actions or making them right nor forgivable, something that it's pretty hard to find in medias, as many authors tend to write this kind of charcters like: "Yeah, X just burned down an orphanage and assaulted a nun out of fun, but someone stole their favourite pencil in kingdergarden, so they're a victim and everything MUST be forgiven" instead of actually making them complex and treating both their scars and their wrongdoings in the right way.
I wasn't exactly a fan of her (mostly 'cause she's basically like my mother is in real life, even the: "I taught you how to be strong so..." part), but I can't deny that Tui did a really good job with and honestly?
I was really disappointed that instead of a good redemption arc we just got a: "A yes, she died, stop. Oh, but she came when Morrowseer told her the dragonets were in trouble, so she actually cares for them!", it felt like anything but a way to show she had still some good in her and more like a way to take the character of the scene and close her subplot, especially since her job was literally to care for the dragonets and Morrowseer had given her, Dune and Webs that place, so putting it just like thatm it could have perfectly been that she wanted to save her ass in fron of the "boss" save her ass. Off-screan redemption arcs or sensation of guilt after all don't carry the same value of something we see with our eyes and it's shown and writte (just like when in cartoons, to redeem a villain they do their arc offscrean and call that and the characters acting like nothing have happened a "redemption").

this was the first actual map part i ever finished, and i feel so lucky to have seen this project and myself grow for these years- and i'm so glad i was able to remake my part to see my improvement! i cant believe its complete! i'm so happy to see it, and i hope everyone enjoyed the map ❤

Seawhirl DEFINITELY improved her (I believe) art style.
This is pretty good, actually. I’m just happy that Seawhirl figured out how to do views besides side views.
Definitely takes time and practice to learn those side views, thank you though!
There is a scene in Deserter were Dune asks Six-Claws why he would risk his life to save a young Blaze
Six-Claws answers saying that you never leave Dragonets in danger
In Book 1, Dune dies trying to protect the DoD from Queen Scarlet....
It's the most underrated character development in Wings of Fire

Wow this is probably the most recent completed map I’ve seen
I know kestrel and dune both gave their lives trying to protect the DOD but now that I think about them being both proud of how Glory turned and sad for how they treated her under the mountain makes me have more respect for them and sad about them both dying in the first book.
Besides that great work on this map you all did a wonderful job

I love this map!
I personally don’t like Glory’s design because usually younger wof fans draw glory with bright green and I am biggest fan of it.! But that’s fine! Ima opinion doesn’t matter and I can’t change it! I love it anyways

There should be a TW for abuse on this MAP, considering the part where Kestrel hits Glory. /nm
Also Glory has no reason to forgive them. They were abusive and their "tragic backstory" doesn't excuse them of that, ESPECIALLY Kestrel! She never apologized for her actions, even after the DOD saved her life! Webs is the only guardian that can be argued wasn't abusive. Victims don't have to forgive their abusers, and Glory would never forgive them, she's not like that.
Please at least put a disclaimer in the description. /NM
I agree! Kestrel did very much abuse Glory and her reasoning wasn't justified- this is a project that very non-canonically covers their relationship from a forgiveness perspective. Even though I don't see this project as an attempt to justify Kestrel's actions, her abuse is still abuse even if Glory forgave her. I've been through similar stuff and I think a warning should be added, but I do not want to shame the host whatsoever for not putting one in the video!
@@Tidestrider This should be labelled somewhere as an AU if they're aiming to be strictly non-canonical.
I'm in no way trying to hate on anyone or the host, I just don't want this topic to accidentally bring up bad memories or feelings for people that have gone through that. Even putting the TW in the top of the description would be enough I think.
@@SamSparks95 you're right, it would be labeled best as an au! and i knew you weren't trying to be disrespectful and didnt see any element of disrespect. i just wanted to make sure that it was known that this request is well-intentioned. sometimes if someone requests a change, the tone of it can be misinterpreted, and this is also pretty important to me as well so i wanted to make sure it was known that this isn't the case

I personally think that glory wouldn’t forgive kestrel because kestrel abused glory personally because of her race, I’m just sayin but I like this map.
I agree completely! But many MAPs have some degree of headcanon so I think that even though Glory wouldn't forgive Kestrel in canon, she does so in the host's minds eye as a headcanon or AU.

Sorry but all of it was right until you put the dream part at the end but over that it was GREAT💐 but some of the arts...not as great but at least they tried there best💐💐💐💐🙌👏👏👏👏
@@SunflowerXwofXfan hey, if you're going to say someone's art is 'not that good' then please refrain from posting at all. How would you feel if someone criticized your art? You wouldn't feel good. The dream part was my own personal touch, and if you don't like that either you're more than welcome to not watch this video.
Not to be rude or anything ,but this isn't very nice of a comment. If you really think that, keep it to yourself. Pointing out that you disliked/you think that the MAP would be better without a specific person's art is rude, even if you didn't mean to be mean. Nobody likes when people criticize people's art in this kind of way, so maybe keep this in mind the next time you decide to comment. Please either edit that part out of the comment, or delete the comment altogether, because it is very disprespectul to the creator of the part.
