Thanks to your two videos I've decided to sign up for a challenge in the new year to get myself motivated. I've not dragged myself to the gym for a couple of months now, but if there's a medal involved, you can guarantee I'll be there 😂
Yesss, I hope you enjoy it! As somebody who just doesn’t like the gym and therefor wasn’t being active, these races have helped me SO MUCH. I’m willing to be outside in the cold.😂
@@theboringkaren Hi Karen, I'm just back to say today I received my first medal! I set the goal of 124m/200km in January which is the Ring of Kerry challenge, and I smashed it. Thank you so much for your videos and the motivation to get out and do something I can feel proud of 💗
I saw an advertisement for this and immediately came to RUclips to research. I clicked your channel because HECK YEAH A WHOLE YEAR! 👏🏼 👏🏼 Thank you for how you described everything. You made it super easy to understand ❤️🐶👍🏼

Love this. Ive signed up for two so far and nearly completed my first one! I initially thought i would be wasting my money on the medals but actually, my ADHD brain gets so excited about the reward that i have never been so inspired to move and get my step count up! Well done for what youve acheived!!

Thank you so much for making this video. I just started the Hadrian's wall challenge. Right now I am only making 1/2 mile a day. Well done!! ☺️ Signed up on 2nd Jan for a 50 mile challenge, done 13 miles so far. Been feeling good and motivated. I made the mistake of telling my partner. Well, I was berated, told it was a waste, then made fun of me. Wish I never said, I feel foolish. 😞 Not giving up that’s for sure.

Hi Karen, I wanted to say thank you for this video! I am a reasonably fit person but that's only because occasionally I get obsessed with things and once upon a time, that was exercise. Lately I've found that I need something to motivate me, and normally I set challenges for myself (which is fine) but often I don't have a physical manifestation of that challenge, e.g. if I wanted to run 200km in a month, I could do it but then I've got... the knowledge that I did it. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the idea of a medal that you pay for effectively being just the representation that you did the thing. And I love that you said "It's fine to just want the medals", because that's what it boils down to for me. Yes, I can run 200km in a month without the medal but why, when I can make it more fun? So fun and motivating! I randomly came across an ad as well and I'm seriously considering trying it, lol. Thanks for sharing your experience. Any motivation is great!
Awesome video Karen and so many things you mentioned are so true in my experience too! Hope the North Coast and Petra are great experiences for you! Keep trecking!
Wow, this is so cool! I didn´t knew those challenges/races even exist. Are you still running? Very nice work over that year, congrats, and thanks for the videos. Hugs from Brasil!
This sounds really fun, and I do not find exercising fun. I could relate to the beginning on so many levels. I deal with a chronic illness and its a true stuggle to do a lot of physical activity but I want to get more active and live a better life because I'm almost 27 but I feel like I'm 97 and that may not change, but I can try, because doing nothing is not working, it does nothing for me mentally, or physically. You definitely convinced me to give it a try. I saw this virtual challenge on Pinterest and I'm like the other people here, decided to youtube review it to see how legit it was and how it really works. I really struggle with my self esteem and have so much anxiety when I leave the house, and always feel like I'm being watched and judged and my anxiety sky rockets around people, so maybe this can help me too. Thanks for this video.
I love how much you've done with these challenges! It seems the perfect thing to do during the pandemic, or when you want to walk or run on your own and still have that bit of competition with themselves.
It's a good idea. Something to look forward to makes the difference. I got the 5 pk bundle less than a week ago and already 40 miles/1 🏅 knocked down. Never thought walking could be a hobby but it's actually a really good alternative to working out.
Hi Karen, great video! Work has started the Conqueror Challenge and giving a code to join I’ve been thinking about it especially after watching your video considering I grew up left with the same thoughts and feelings as you. How much does it cost for someone to do it own their own?
Hi! The challenge with just receiving a medal is $29.95 USD plus tax and the package with the medal and a t-shirt is $59.90 USD. They also offer bundles where you pick 3 or more races and you save a bit that way.
I was debating whether or not to sign up for the LOTR challenge, but your video convinced me it's worth a try. "It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to."
1:58 OMG this is so me 🥺. I lost my mom in 2021, I miss her dearly, but for the 1st time in my life I was able to do anything I wanted without any kind of judgement or ridicule at all. The only person to stop me now is me. 🥰
Nice one K, I just complete my first one and got excited to get the second, I've been recording on strava but the idea of getting a fisical medal is just another level, if we come across anywhere on this vast virtual world, I hope I wave to you, take care
I recently started doing virtual races. Wish I knew about them earlier. I know what you mean about the medals, I chose a Gladiater one(400km) because the medal looked nice lol. I have completed a Pacer Athens, and signed up for a Pacer Venice. Will do a Conquerer one once I'm done with the Gladiater and Venice challenges. Thanks for your info, this is a great channel 👍🏻
Thank you so much for this video! You are an absolutely delightful and giving person and have helped me make the decision to do this . . .and many others, I’m sure, with your upbeat attitude. God bless you as you complete lots more journeys! ❤
Thanks for this review, it's a great video, you explained the the concept very well! I'm a physiotherapist and I think this is a great concept to help people moving more, because of course everybody can do big things, the only thing missing could be a little sparkle. And if the sparkle is an unicorn on a medal, be it! Sincerely congrats!
I really appreciate your review of this app and your story has made me want to get started as I am also on a weight loss journey. Thank you so much for being so open and candid and answering the questions I had originally.
I just signed up for my first one because it gives something besides putting numbers on my running plus I hope it gets back into it due a Ling recovery from shin splits
late to the party but I love your video! You are truly an inspiration. I have been working on the Lord of the Rings series... for a couple of years. Even though it is slow going, it has inspired me to wake up early before work and get off the couch on weekends, and just get out there! I take a photo and attach it to the app each walk to prove to myself that I was out there doing it.
Hey Karen, I just started my first race yesterday. You’ve been very inspirational. Are you doing any right now? Hope you’re feeling better with all the health stuff.
Sweet I’m halfway done the Angkor Wat one just to try it out, but I was planning on following it up with the Lord of the rings one. I hope you post a video for that one 😊
Hiya, Just found your video. I just finished my first two challenges Mt.Fuji and Forbidden city, I am so excited to get them in the mail. Of course, I had to buy more... Have you done any more challenges since this video and if so, what is your fav?
That’s awesome! Congrats!! Mt. Fuji was my first challenge and I adore the medal. And yeah, I’ve done quite a few since this video. I really liked Paris since I wanna go back there.
How easy is this app to fool? Can you drive around or bike around without it noticing the difference in speed? I feel like the rewards are only as valuable as the strictness of the system. Any experience with this?
I have been seriously looking into this. I am competitive, so makes it hard to excircise by myself lol. But I am also prize motivated so a medal would definitely work I think lol
I am going through all of your videos and this made me join... omg girl... starting and completing and fuck everyone else 🙂 I have done half marathons before but I have not since covid. I am fatter now and trying to get off. and I am not a runner but aspire to be. geeked up!!! I know I am late as ever to your page but we have so much in common
So, I use my health app on my phone and in the beginning I counted every step toward a challenge. Now, I only have my phone with me when I’m intentionally walking.. so every step tracked goes toward my race!
Hi, Im glad I stumbled upon this! Trying to find something for my grandson to get him more active.. (He asked for a medal..lol) ANYWAYS!! What are and where did you get the pink curtains in the background??! Please do tell!
I started the LotR one. The medals are quiet cool but tbh they are quite expensive and the "entertaining" postcards to keep you motivated are quiet.. bad.. the promise to plant one tree or avoid plastic is pretty negligable too at those costs. But i liked the medals! Soo i made a deal with my boyfriend. He goes on Etsy and buys me a nice enamel Pin. And i only get it when i finish my challange. We make a list with different kinds of challanges. Longer distances at once, multiple shorter once etc. I add a nice Ribbon and maybe some seal wax. I am not saying this to discourage anyone, in the contrary :) I want people to start moving :) I myself am someone who needs motivation from outside ;)
Fantastic idea! I'm not so much into the medals, but your post just made me realize that I could reward myself with whatever my imagination can think of (within budget, obviously!) Actually, it WOULD be kind of cool to have a representation of all the places I visit virtually...maybe I'll put a world map on a wall and put a tack whenever i complete a challenge. I use Pacer app.
these ads started popping up on my facebook and I'm interested but I'm searching it out as not sure of ads that want info to sign up without really explaing LOL one site had a quiz and suggested 3 but when I went to website from google link those walks didn't show up. I was thinking holland since it's 40 miles,.. lol do you buy several in a bundle or just individually? they sound like fun and would likey motivate me, esp if I pay LOL
You can buy them in a bundle, I think they are bundles of 3, 5, 10 or 15. I am doing the LOTR challenge so I bought those in a bundle because it costs a little less when you no bundle them.
Anyone know if there are scenery videos for this? Not uber important, just curious & found your video looking for one😉 Doing LOTR, so I can find the "video" for that😁 And the length of the movies & appendices are long enough for the challenge🤣 Jk. Thanks for this supportive video✌️

This looks so amazing. Really struggled since my dad passed away in 2021 and looking for a new way to get back to myself. These look so amazing!!! Thank you so much for sharing your experiences. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🥰🏆🏆🏆
Ohh I’ve experienced that struggle! I’m rooting for you!!
@@theboringkaren Thank you for your lovely reply and encouragement. It means a lot!!!… Thank You🙏🏽😊🥰❤️… Really looking forward to taking on my first challenge 🙆🏽♀️🥳🏅✨❣️❣️
Congrats on your many conqueror victories! I just signed up for the Inca challenge, my first one! You’re an inspiration! Keep going!
Hi Karenesque! Thanks for the video! I just signed up for 2024. I will check some of your current videos to catch up on your journey!
Awesome! I hope you enjoy your challenge!
Just found your channel because I was looking to understand Conquer Challenge more. Appreciate the info on it--it makes a lot more sense now. This was a great video, so easy to follow and I love your vibe.
So fun and motivating! I randomly came across an ad as well and I'm seriously considering trying it, lol. Thanks for sharing your experience. Any motivation is great!
If you decide to do it, I hope you have fun!! It's amazing to see how many people have been positively affected by The Conqueror.
Awesome video Karen and so many things you mentioned are so true in my experience too! Hope the North Coast and Petra are great experiences for you!
Keep trecking!
Sold! Very inspiring and positive video! Can’t wait to start this new challenge 👍🏼
You are very inspiring..thank you x
I love how much you've done with these challenges! It seems the perfect thing to do during the pandemic, or when you want to walk or run on your own and still have that bit of competition with themselves.
Yes!! And it’s been nice to virtually visit places I can’t go to.
@@theboringkaren Hi, thank you for being quick to respond and so informative!
I was debating whether or not to sign up for the LOTR challenge, but your video convinced me it's worth a try.
"It's a dangerous business, Frodo, going out your door. You step onto the road, and if you don't keep your feet, there's no knowing where you might be swept off to."
I hope you have fun!!
1:58 OMG this is so me 🥺. I lost my mom in 2021, I miss her dearly, but for the 1st time in my life I was able to do anything I wanted without any kind of judgement or ridicule at all. The only person to stop me now is me. 🥰
💜💜💜
I hope you enjoy it!!
@@theboringkaren thanks, I already am😀
Thank you so much for this video! You are an absolutely delightful and giving person and have helped me make the decision to do this . . .and many others, I’m sure, with your upbeat attitude. God bless you as you complete lots more journeys! ❤
Thank you! I'm slowly reaching the end of LOTR currently. I hope you enjoy whichever race you choose!
I just signed up for the Amalfi Coast. Thank you again! 🤗
i joined a virtual challenge too. i just watched this video and i loved your determination and purpose. you have such a sweet heart❤
Aww thank you!! I hope you have fun doing your challenge!
You are an inspiration, Girl! Thanks for sharing your journey!
Thank you!! I wish you the best! Have fun with it!!
Wow thank you for being such an inspiration.
I adore your spirit and honesty
Ahh thank you so much, Nicola. Happy New Year! 🎊
They just created ideal challenge for me ! Is from LOTR so... I will join your club. Thank you!
I just started the Shire and bought the 5 medal bundle and so far I've gone about 24 miles in a week!
Hi Karen, I’ve signed up to the challenge using your creator link. Thanks for the helpful video.
Awesome!! I hope you have fun!
Thank you for your video, Im going to sign up!
I really appreciate your review of this app and your story has made me want to get started as I am also on a weight loss journey. Thank you so much for being so open and candid and answering the questions I had originally.
Hi! Just started the conqueror challenge. I started with Paris. Because I love Paris! I already feel addicted!
I just signed up for my first one because it gives something besides putting numbers on my running plus I hope it gets back into it due a Ling recovery from shin splits
Aww I hope you enjoy it!! I definitely have too much fun looking around the map.
late to the party but I love your video!
That’s awesome!!! 💪
Thank you so much for this video! Really helped me make a decision.
I've loved doing these challenges. On challenge number 5, the new Lord of the Rings Ones. Love them so much.
Hey Karen, I just started my first race yesterday. You’ve been very inspirational. Are you doing any right now? Hope you’re feeling better with all the health stuff.
That’s awesome! I hope you enjoy it. I just finished the last LOTR race last week! And thank you. 🙏
Sweet I’m halfway done the Angkor Wat one just to try it out, but I was planning on following it up with the Lord of the rings one. I hope you post a video for that one 😊
Helloo I am from Costa Rica, and your video, makes me take the decision to register, thank you so much 😊😊
Wow! You're such an inspiration!!!
Thank you!! I’m going to try it!!
Hi... amazing video... thanks a lot... and congratulations to you.. i will do the challenges... you amazing...
Aww thank you 🥰 I hope you enjoy it!!
Thank you for all good info just started Yellowstone 😉
The gamer in me really loves the idea of getting these medals, I'm starting my journey to Mordor this week 😁
Thanks for your videos! You’re an inspiration! See you in the Facebook Conqueror Community! 😀👍
Aww thank you, David!!
This made my night
I have been seriously looking into this. I am competitive, so makes it hard to excircise by myself lol. But I am also prize motivated so a medal would definitely work I think lol
Amazing! Well done!!! :)))))
Good video! I’m starting my first challenge today!! 😃
Awesome!! Have fun!
Do you track your daily steps, or just the steps when you physically go out walking?
I love the whole concept of the challenges. You have inspired me.
So, I use my health app on my phone and in the beginning I counted every step toward a challenge. Now, I only have my phone with me when I’m intentionally walking.. so every step tracked goes toward my race!
I'm sorry but from a fellow 80's baby, SOLID PROPS for the Mortal Combat there song.
Hi, Im glad I stumbled upon this! Trying to find something for my grandson to get him more active.. (He asked for a medal..lol) ANYWAYS!! What are and where did you get the pink curtains in the background??! Please do tell!
From Amazon! They’re tinsel curtains.
ive done easter isle and jurrasic coast and just got the cobalt one i think its 185 miles or something its a canda one
This looks fun. I went ahead and joined one. I'm hesitantly optimistic.
Yay!! Have fun!!
I am not saying this to discourage anyone, in the contrary :)
I want people to start moving :)
I myself am someone who needs motivation from outside ;)
I’ve been debating on doing these challenges
Anyone know if there are scenery videos for this? Not uber important, just curious & found your video looking for one😉 Doing LOTR, so I can find the "video" for that😁 And the length of the movies & appendices are long enough for the challenge🤣 Jk. Thanks for this supportive video✌️
Thank you for doing this video because I really wanted to join but wasn’t sure if they‘re legit
