I’m so happy that you’re posting now. I was just reading about the new eruption online and stopped to click over here. Watching your video now. Edit: Thank you so much for this update. It was very helpful. So many crazy things happening in the world at the same time. I hope everyone’s hot water is restored and the volcano settles down soon. Stay safe!
Wow! I always learn so much from your take on things. Aside from info on the eruption, the fact that Iceland actually uses the “naturally occurring” hot water for heating, etc. is something I never heard of. Thanks for the info. Take good care!
Thank you for your updates. Please stay safe and I hope the people who live in the area are safe. I remember when I was there about the hot water, both for washing and heating.
Thanks Jewel for this valuable information. Praying for the safety of the people of Iceland, specifically in the areas that might lose hot water . Stay safe and God bless...
Thx, you are amazing in this tense time. Your information really helps. Take care, stay safe, & keep us informed in your charming & we'll done manner. Again thank you.
I have been following the volcanic eruptions in America "watching" a foreign news source. You are correct about the media embellishments! Stay safe. Shout out to all of the Emergency Services workers. (Your Icelandic is getting better 😊).
Hello, Can you provide more information on how Iceland uses the naturally occurring heated water to heat homes? And, how are people affected by the lack of hot water heating their homes?
Electric and gas heaters but they are asking people to limit their electric heaters to one per home so they don't overload the electric grid and of course asking people to use caution if they have gas heaters
@@AllThingsIceland I'm happy to hear that :) Have the others got an alternative back up options? Emersion heaters? Power generators, or is there any way to switch to a different power plant?
@@cloverfield911People have electric or gas heaters, but the electricity system is not quite up to everyone filling their houses with electric heaters so it is going to get cold for most though not freezing. The geothermal heating is good and dirt cheap so usually people have very warm houses even during the coldest weather but now they are going to have to do with English winter house temperatures for a couple of days.
I’m watching a live cam right before noon Pacific on Feb 8, and it’s not stopped. That’s an hour after you posted this comment. 🤔 Where are you seeing that it’s over?
You are looking great moving on from the marriage, being over and finding your own platform and staying in the country. Its fantastic to see. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you 🤗❤️
I would have never known the beauty of Iceland without discovering your channel... Thanks, Jewell...❤😊❤
My pleasure 😊❤️

Prayers from the USA
Thank you
Thank you for your perspective. We do not get this kind of detail on the news in the US. Wish people in Iceland a safe future.
Thank you
Thanks for clarifying, the mainstream media always makes it look like it’s the entire country whenever a natural disaster happens somewhere.
Agreed and glad to help clear this up.
I'm glad your safe
Thank you 🤗
I have plan to visit Iceland in March
Yay!! It’s a wonderful place and I hope you have a great time.
Wow, that's still wild. Yeah, definitely the news makes it look like everyone is in danger. Hope you all stay safe and hot water is restored soon 🙏🏾
Agreed! Thank you.
Love your report!
I am subbed!

This is great . I am coming to Iceland 🇮🇸 on the 12th of February.

Hello,
Can you provide more information on how Iceland uses the naturally occurring heated water to heat homes? And, how are people affected by the lack of hot water heating their homes?
Thank you for making me aware. Prayers 🙏🏽 for workers putting down newlines, and 🙏🏽 that the hot water is restored quickly.❤❤❤❤🥵
You’re very welcome and thank you! ❤️❤️
The hot water heats the houses, How will all those people stay warm?
Electric and gas heaters but they are asking people to limit their electric heaters to one per home so they don't overload the electric grid and of course asking people to use caution if they have gas heaters
Hope you get plenty of vitamin d there during the winter!
I take vitamin D supplements 😊
@@AllThingsIceland Me too....and I live in AZ so you wouldn't think I would need it but I had low vitamin d when tested! Have a lovely day!
Hello,
Thank you for this information, I hope that everyone stays safe. What is the weather like in Iceland? Are the daylight hours getting longer?
Thanks. Yes, the daylight hours are getting longer and it’s pretty cold this week but lots of beautiful snow on the ground. 😊
Hot water supply affecting over 32,000 people, of whom 23,000 live in the town of Keflavik, in freezing temps hopefully fixed fast.
Agreed
Thanks ‼️
You’re very welcome.
oooo chile u shoulda been a weather girl ! girl ! be safe!
😂 Thank you 🤗
Is your hot water, power affected by the cut off from the Power Station?
Thankfully, it is not.
@@AllThingsIceland I'm happy to hear that :)

And now already the eruption is over! Man these are getting shorter and shorter
