    I love him so much.
    First, because he's likeable.
    Secondly, because he can present so vividly and elegantly,
    in contrast to some other scientists.
    And not least because he is a genius who knows the
    things of the past and who also has the things to come
    clearly on his radar screen.
    We are the lucky ones in our time who can experience
    this person live and in person.

    I think the obvious question is whether the big oil corporations are going to allow this Quantum revolution in energy...?

    • @AnotherFancyUser
      @AnotherFancyUser 11 месяцев назад +1

      you going to need that much energy to quantum compute big enterprises like modeling the universe or in biology, at some point if a corporation does not divulge it, then a government or normal people will do it for sure. Will it take time? yes, how much? Well... we will run out of oil and we are kind of close.

  • @AndreasHavik
    @AndreasHavik Год назад

    I like Kaku, but his statement about taperecorder doesn't work for me. If chat-ai is just a taperecorder that sets pieces together into something new, what is different from that and a human? We are born and our brains starts to record things. We can now set the pieces together into something new.

    • @key_bounce
      @key_bounce 10 месяцев назад

      I think he is completely wrong about chat bots. I don't think he understands them, and he is operating from public press releases, basically. Chat GPT 4 has really changed things, and Chat GPT 5 will pass a turing test at this rate.
      Once that happens ... even if it is regurgitating a version of what it was trained on, isn't that exactly what a human brain does?

    48:00 I disagree somewhat. There is no parallel universe. Super position is merely a quantum vibration of an object. That's how light is created. Everything vibrates and creates a wave of which you can only ever see one super position. The peak of the wave. Thusly you are ever only in one universe and the other "parallel universe" does not exist to you. Everyone's measurement of their environment creates a sort of "parallel universe" of their own. But this isn't an actual different universe it's the perception of a different universe. It's really just one big vibrating universe.

    The melodrama is making me ill. The obsession with making smaller transistors is indeed coming to an end, for the simple reason that they use light to develop traces on the silicon. The limitation is due to the wavelength of the light itself. You overcome this specific limitation by stacking and putting multiple 'cores' in a single chip or using multiple chips. Quantum computing will equate to nothing more than $$$Billion dollar coin flip machines.

    Less a physicist than a wanna-be auteur. His science in this presentation is sometimes flawed. This show needs work. He belittles his audiences knowledge, and listen to 'all' the laughs at his set-ups and jokes. Repeats his examples of plant respiration, rust belt, and other points in detail several times in detail. Has a lot of potential. Needs some help. Lastly, as a writer. after the rope should come down good. just end with "And it did." Then move on.
