They literally just packaged the individual releases in one box, I bought them all as they were released. Season one was a wide release from paramount, which is why the discs are blue and have the Blu-ray logo on them. Seasons 2-8 were pressed MOD releases and only seasons 2 & 4 have the Blu-ray logo while the rest say Blu-ray Disc. Think it was just a way for them to save money. Either way I'm happy to have the show on Blu-ray, artwork I can just purchase custom made ones(which there's actually some really good ones out there) or make my own if I feel like it.
Also, season 2 has artwork on the discs because it was the first MOD release and they didn't seem to know what to do with them. Then there were some errors like 4:3 shots mixed in with the 16:9 and I think misspelled words in the menu so they re-released the set with those errors fixed.
I bought them individually as well and I'm happy with it. I'm thrilled we got all the seasons fairly quickly. At least the errors don't amount to the disaster that is the "Buffy" remaster -- horridly awful. I'm still waiting for a Blu-ray of that as well and I go back & forth on whether I think it's actually going to happen before I die.
What color are the discs underneath? Are they purple ? Or 100% Authentic ?
They're not purple.

It's a mod which is why the disc art isn't that great in later seasons luckily it also did well enough to get later seasons because if a mod fails they would of quit and not done the later seasons.
At the end of the day regards if your not bothered about the damage isssue or not they should not ship or sell these to customers if they’re going to arrive damaged …. Your video is not the only one I’ve seen with the boxset arriving damaged …. I saw somebody again on RUclips and somebody on Amazon with a video revealing the damaged box set ….. considering the price these are selling for they should arrive pristine with no damage whatsoever ….. and now after seeing a couple of videos showing their damaged box sets I can’t really put the blame on the handling
They have obviously left the warehouse damaged before they were shipped…. I’m not a collector, but I don’t think it’s going to be very fun for somebody that is ….. especially if
they receive the boxset in this condition
But I’m happy that you’re going to put in a complaint in you probably already have if so what was the outcome?
I just ended up throwing the box away. I tried to make a complaint but it was useless.
CBS/Paramount is notorious for delivering shitty, damaged packaging. Years ago, I collected their releases of Melrose Place and Beverly Hills, 90210 and each time, the box sets would arrived dinged, smashed and full of loose discs. A terrible company.
Was it through Amazon?
@@RagingEntertainment Amazon but also in stores too. I remember when Best Buy still carried DVDs, their CBS/Paramount DVDs were always damaged too.
